Special birthday lunch today, 3 dishes about $151 including 3 drinks. Fish and chips, pork strip loin and lamb rigatoni. Great food, great view and the staff were marvelous. The salad, would have been with even nicer with more tomato.

Excellent atmosphere in and outside with magnificent water views. The customer service was also excellent and the comprehensive menu has something to please everybody's appetite.

The main disappointment was the Octopus ? which is extremely pricey, $39 for 1/4 tentacle. We will definitely come back again but recommend that you keep away from the octopus.

St George motor boat club is a large club with a number of restaurants and bars, part of the club is the St George motor boat floating marina. You can see ??'? the cook bridge and the tom uglys bridge. It's got a park on either side of it. Anderson Park and plimsoll Street Reserve

The boat club is great for families from young to old. There are various seating options to choose from, outdoor deck seating with view of the yachts, inside by the big screens playing various games and a couple of restaurants.
The food is pretty good and the portion sizes are generous. The prawn linguine was really good, nice spicy bite. The burger was also a good options.
As with all clubs there is a gaming area and keno.
Lots of St George supporters watching the footy, it's very similar to an RAL club.
Free parking but gets busy ??

Happy hour is from 4 to 6pm. Everyday has special dish with reasonable price. I like to have drink there and admire the view. Love this place. Half rack of pork rip is only 20 dollars on Thursday.
We like pizza here too. Especially garlic prawns pizza. Fresh base, very tasty.
On the weekend, there is a lovely girl singing with guitar to entertain all the customers.
Christmas decoration is on from early November.
But on weekends, no happy hour for beer.

Great times had every year at Melbourne cup luncheon. Also friendly staff, and good food at any time. Often free live music on the weekends in the afternoons while looking out over the water. Great free parking may have courtesy bus for locals.

I had a fantastic experience at the St. George Motor Boat Club! The steak nights were a highlight for me, especially with the delicious Greek salad and Caesar salad on the side. The little added touch of sticky date pudding for dessert was the perfect sweet ending to the meal.

What made the evening even more enjoyable was the great company and loads of laughs shared with friends. The atmosphere at the club was warm and welcoming, and it was a wonderful place to unwind and have a memorable night out. I highly recommend the St. George Motor Boat Club for a delightful dining experience and a good time with friends.

well where do i start about the food. the staff a reasonable nice. but the food is horrible.

Especially being by the water you expect the seafood not to be frozen and the prices are ridiculous being frozen seafood.

I've also had a risotto and seafood on mothers day paid 100 so bucks and their oil was dirty (dark) and some calamari were cold. extremely appallingly disappointed first time and last time.

Especially for mothers day 1 week later though as it was booked out for mothers day.

How can anyone say the food is okay here. and prices. obviously people have plenty on them these days to pay to dine out often. i don't.

the best food is eating home. at least you know what goes in it especially when you have health issues and people with allergies.

The eating area is absolutely packed full of tables and chairs to maximise the number of guests they can accommodate. It's almost like being packed in like sardines and we kept bumping chairs with the people behind us. It was loud and they even had a live band start while we were eating lunch which made it more difficult to talk.

The food was average at best. Decent portion sizes but rather bland flavours. The chips are terrible. The "slow cooked" pork ribs were anything but. The pastas did not have much flavour at all.

Also not a kid friendly place at all. There is nowhere to take little ones to play inside the venue so we were forced to keep ours at the table with tight leashes (not literally) on them as staff were not happy with them playing in an unoccupied corner on the floor.

The view was great as would be expected from such a venue but it hardly makes up for the rest.

Came here for my sister's 30th birthday lunch at the Marina's Edge restaurant. It was very busy for a Sunday but Angelo was absolutely wonderful in looking after our party of 18 people. Friendly, helpful and so efficient we had a lovely experience. The only downside were the cocktails. I'm not sure how experienced the young bar staff were but I'm sure with more training and experience things will only get better.
The views across Kogarah Bay are stunning at sunset.

Excellent food & service. The layout of the premises is spacious, open & flowing with the AC properly regulated. Everything came together to create a pleasant dining experience.

Wonderful visit to the St George Motor Boat Club! The drinks on the back deck, the excellent and inviting atmosphere and finally the delicious seafood feast wrapped up a perfect evening out. It's a bit noisy, but the croud was fun and footy was on. Service was fast as was the bar. Will come again when I'm in the area.

We went there yesterday, can't go inside if you're not a member but the membership fee is $5 for 5 years. Inside was quite big we got there at 5pm still not busy and we were sitting outside quite hot but the view was spectacular. We ordered 5 dishes, they took a bit long time to receive but all the dishes were delicious.

What a wonderful effortless experience!! After having problems with another venue, we were able to get hold of his venue only 9 days away from the date of our engagement party. We had the pleasure of working with Teagan and Amy, both who were professional and easily accessible at all times. The room looked even more stunning that we had thought it would, staff were helpful and flexible during the event as well and allowed guests to slowly leave as our time came up. I would definitely book here again!

I must say though the food is a little lacking in portion size, taste and variety (e.g no sweet potato chips ??)
Overall a great place to check out and I would definitely give it 5 stars if the food choices changed up a bit, gave a little more and offered a bit more.
To put it in perspective, I am a member of this place so definitely not saying anything bad about it.

Surrounded by water views & boats this Club is an ideal venue to meet with mates & pass some time away should one live close by that is. We are so fortunate in Sydney to have our stunning Harbour & so many Clubs, restaurants & places of interest either with the water views or within close proximity. For tourists you certainly need far more than one day to take in the ambiance of this great City. ENJOY!!

We recently had a small private function (30PP) at the restaurant. The food was fantastic and the service was great. A special call out to the manager of the day Georgie who looked after us without any stress and made the day great.

Great tasty meals well above your average club. Menu very well thought out. Mains well priced, starters a bit above average club prices.

Plenty on every plate with excellent sauces. Service fast and cheerful.
A bit noisy but not unusual for a club as popular as this one obviously is.

My girlfriends and I went here to catch up over cocktails and dinner. The sunset views over the water were stunning. The food was delicious- based on recommendations from the super attentive and friendly staff! In particular staff member Georgia who was so friendly and bubbly and had great knowledge of the menu. Lunched here yesterday at The Edge Restaurant. It was very crowded (tables crammed in very close) and very noisy. Bar service was slow and the food not worth the prices. Seafood platter was just under $100. It is presented on a 3 tier stand but don't be fooled, the middle tier is just a bowl of garden salad. The fresh prawns were great, calamari good but the fish was dreadful. The batter was so thick and the fish was mushy. One of us had the pork striploin and left half of it, said it was very average. Another had the chicken and also said it was average. Another had the salmon which he said was very good. All in all very disappointing for the price. Even though it's called The Edge Restaurant it is just basic club food.

Definitely a 5 star food and friendly place. From the reception staff, to the smiley kitchen staff - even the chef will give you a wave if he spots you at your table. We had a seafood platter, which was exceptional - very fresh produce indeed. Our special dessert was prepared by the in house pastry chef. It was one of the best desserts my wife and I have ever had. Maia our waitress, was a delight, as were the others who served us. If we lived in the area we would be there often. Thanks team, for making our time at your club very special.
