If visiting beware of the small security guard looks can be deceiving. I was in the security industry for 26 years and never have I seen a harder bloke. He has this aura about him. Yet a pleasant deamener you couldn't meet a nicer bloke. So don't test him or you will be in a world of pain. I handed my membership in as I felt inferior

I tried their pasta. And I feel that their portions is way too big. And prices are a bit expensive. I hope they can reduce a meal size and make a bit cheaper. Service was very nice and friendly

Birthday dinner for my 61st had at newly renovated club ? enjoyable meal of Lobster Vodka Linguine mouth watering my wife very happy with her Aussie fav of Chicken Snitty & Chips washed down with a Great Northern beer while my wife enjoyed a glass of sweet wine?Monday nights enjoy Ribs and a beer for $15 deal yum delicious melt in your mouth??

Went with a member and it was so cheap! Cocktails are brilliant. I tried every single one on the menu during the course of my stay. Loved em all.
Food was good too although the portions are huge so definitely don't need any sides!

We had a great experience with very friendly locals and a very good atmosphere. We ordered the chicken parmigiana, the honey king prawns and some tasty steaks which were all great. Plenty of parking, excellent service and loads of room for large groups.??'??

Played snooker for the first time and we were awful at it ??'? but really appreciated how welcoming the staff were as well as the patrons. 4 snooker tables free to use. Would've been nice to see some pool tables as well since that was what we were trying to find but a good experience nonetheless! The place is very spacious and well maintained. Check in went smoothly as well

If your a single mum don't go to The Country Club - St Georges Basin for lunch or dinner.

They won't allow you to order a non alcoholic drink from the BISTRO bar / coffee hut with a 8 month old baby on your hip, mind you I was about 1.5 M away from the bar surface out of respect. I'd understand if my son was older but he was screaming the bistro down and no one could take him. The Two sides of chips we paid $20 for ( with a small side of gravy) were so dry I needed something to wash them down with.
Basically if your on your own completely and no one can hold your child you'll have to go thirsty.

The server will also talk to you like your stupid looking down on you and saying " you can't bring a baby to the bar" like yes I know but the bistro bar also sells coffee and ice cream?

Looks like My 8 month old has to miss out on his first great northern!

A better attitude would've went down a lot better than looking at me down the end of your nose whilst talking to me like I'm an idiot.

This was not the main bar. It wasn't past the point where kids aren't even allowed. It was right next to the gelato station.

Unless your going to provide table service I'd fix your bartenders snobby attitude problem

Play bingo at this club once a month and it's great fun and the bistro is really good. Haven't tried the restaurant but the food looks amazing.

We had a tasty & beautiful family lunch for four. Have to say, each of our orders was scrumptious. Great value for money. The staff were very friendly, happy to talk to us .

Lovely friendly, helpful staff. The young girls, especially in the eatery. Happy, smiling. Beautiful to see happy workers enjoying their job. Food was in abundance. Too much for lunchtime meals. Could've shared the massive fish of the day. The photo proves to be very messy for some. Will happily come again. The roos definitely needed a rest after their meals on the last hole.

Amazed at how well they coped with a vert busy evening. The queue was long and took about 20mins to order, but the food arrive within 15mins of ordering and was pretty good. I recommend this club and don't forget to pop outside to meet the kangaroos on the golf course....

Cheap drinks were a plus! $12 cocktails ($10 for members)
Bar was getting smashed with orders, running out of glasses but the bartenders handled it so well!

Unfortunately food was the let down 5/5 steaks over cooked, ordered med/rare to medium, all steaks arrived well over well done . Rice on the satay Chicken and Mongolian beef was crunchy and tasted/felt microwaved

Not much in the area so I guess it's not terrible, I guess we just expected more from a "country club"

Great place to dine with plenty of seating options. Menu delivers great variety and hearty meals. Can be quite the line-up to order during peak season but they run a pretty efficient service and wait times for meals arent long. Great play zone for kids too!

Ordered the beef brisket it was nice but stone cold and oily I took it back and said it was cold just reheat it the chef wasn't to happy with me. My husband got a steak sandwich with chips it was cold aswell and only a handful of chips not worth the money. Can't even get the cheap seniors meals as they seems to look after tourists and not the locals. The chefs should be ashamed of themselves.

Fantastic! The food was delicious, great prices, very quick for how busy it was during school holidays too. If you like to play pokies, they have a large range of machines to choose from :) cafe available as well for a late night coffee or cake! Oh and a bottle shop attached to the entrance if that is your thing- unsure on prices in there though. All in all, wonderful dinner date for the partner and I! Would recommend for single person, dates, friends and families. (Full indoor playground and games centre for the kids that is available down the back from what I saw)

Food was good, seating was great, speed and service was great. Will definitely come back on our next trip down the coast. Not to forget the prices were great compared to Sydney prices.

Food is terrible, especially for what you pay for. $30 Pasta looked like a microwave meal. On top of this, we waited 45 minutes to order. we were understanding of peak period but quality of food was poor. Will not be coming back

Favourite club in the area hands down

The country club is located in Sanctuary Point. The meals are excellent and the coffee (cappuccinos) are probably the best in the area. I also won $50 on the pokies. I go there at least once a week for dinner or lunch. There is plenty of parking and disabled parking close to the entrance. There is a great deal more there that I don't use like raffles, live performances, lawn bowls and is situated in the edge of the golf course.
Do yourself a favour and visit if you are in the area, you won't be disappointed.

The food was excellent but the wait in the queue made us late for the start of the disco.
The DISCO was ruined by the sound volume. It was a wall of noise well above the regulation 90 DBA. Conversation was impossible. The band was competent but the vocals and saxophone were overwhelmed by pointless volume so the artistry was glossed. Is it because people at these events are already deadf and demand everything to be loud or is it laziness of the doorman who informed me they were working on it. Yes they were waiting for everyone to temporarily deafen and not notice it had not been turned down. The Disco event was a risk to augment hearing loss and start it in the case of vulnerable people. I have done rock and roll lessons at the club and never been assaulted like this. I will not attend such an event again and have wasted my time and money .

The staff at the front count are lovely.
The bar staff needs to have a lot of training in customers service, more Interested in standing around talking to each other and on their phone.
The food on each of our visits has been terrible and even has made us sick. We will not be dining again.
This is not from one visit, we have visited this venue a few times now hoping it would improve.

Had a good dinner, which was Parma special $15. We ordered early and got to counter where the staff member was texting but saw us coming and put away. Food came out after they tried to give us the wrong order! This was at 5.20pm on a Thursday evening.
So many staff on and it got a bit busier with a decent line for ordering and no one helped her take orders.
I find this very strange and appalling from management who seem too busy doing nothing to help where needed.
You really need someone with experience to run your venue properly and so you don't waste money on unnecessary wages with people twiddling their thumbs when they could be taking orders.
Just food for thought, always thugs to keep busy with.
Again it's a pokie rip off venue, please train staff and make it a joyous venue to work for and visit.

Busy place on the weekend , lots of food options, also pool tables & pokies. Got children's play area indoors. Only 1 complaint. Receive a table buzzer for our food ( ordered a roast of the day). Turns out we didn't need buzzer as you go to carvery to pick up said order. This wasn't made clear so waited a LONG time before this information was given to us. Bit frustrating. Otherwise clean & comfortable

Food is not worth the price, restaurant prices for bistro food, haven't had a decent meal there for years now. Other than that staff are super friendly and beer is good. Shame the meal experience let's the club down.

Went with the family last night for some dinner. The Head Chef Bob was kind and efficient when a mistake was made. I was so shocked and happy by the excellent customer service. Food and atmosphere was great as well. Will definitely be back and bring friends. Great job Bob and staff!!

Good food options and good service. Recieved my meal quickly and it tasted good. They wouldn't let me swap fries for mash - they should be more flexible as this created food waste.

Just had the Oysters Kilpatrick and garlic prawns. Oysters were plump and large. Garlic prawns could have a touch more garlic and sauce a little runny but all in all a good meal.

The new Staff are friendly and welcoming. Fast service in all areas. Meals are delicious. Entertainment still catering for the elderly and over 50s, no modern music, I'm 47 and it's bands still sings songs too old for me. Who thought Roy Orbison on a Friday night was a raging night, very sad and pathetic. Not an attack on Roy Orbison just not appropriate for Friday nights.

Had the honey sesame chicken & rice, was gross. Hardly any honey at all. Other food looked nice, great pokie & dining area.

It was a Monday night in Sanctuary Point, and we didnt have high hopes on what would be available, especially as it was a public holiday. We happened upon the Country Club and thought wed give it a go. And boy, we are glad that we did!A clean, nicely decorated bistro with an extensive menu, offering everything from stir fries to pizzas to seafood to roasts! We enjoyed our delicious meals and even came back a few days later for another yummy meal. Would recommend for anyone visiting the area!

Great club and the Seafood Laksa is sensational.
We played a round of golf while there and it is a very nice course.
Do yourself a favour if you are in the area and visit this club.

The club looks great. Modern fresh feel and vibe. Food was standard club fare, but good portions, quick and service was great. Staff were friendly and nice. Menu has a fair few options. Only downside was the cafe.... we ordered two mud cupcakes for dessert. Both were very dry and stale. Otherwise all good
