We recently had the pleasure of hosting an event at St. Mary's Band Club, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience. The venue itself was perfect, offering a welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for a fantastic evening.

What a disappointment. We rang the club to see what time family table restaurant shuts and they proceed to tell us 2.30pm. Drove all the way down go to the punters at about 2.04pm and they said they are closed but yet they were still cooking and then tells us they shut at 2pm. Maybe abit more Communication of what the closing tomes are would be good and sorry but 4 minutes I'm sorry but they should of just said ni worries we will take your order. I work in a hotel and I can tell you now if someone came 4 minutes later we would of taken their order pretty disappointed bandy.

Great place to eat out if you do. Also great venue for functions too.

HORRIBLE!!! I ordered a steak , mash , veg with gravy and my partner ordered grilled chicken with veg only.

My steak came with chips and salad that had 1 peice of tomato and 1 peice of cucumber.
Grilled chicken ! To put it nicely 2 bites were eaten and the rest was left untouched! Veggies were hard , probably microwaved not fresh

The food quality is cheap , I don't need my food to be 5 star but this was a joke ! Absolutely WASTE of $52.00

Attended the Christmas Buffet there today. Disorganised is an understatement. One staff member checking tickets. Line up to get in was horrendous. Not enough tables set, staff scrambling, ran out of Bon Bons. Staff touched the cutlery eating ends with bare hands after wiping down table's disgusting. The food was not nice at all. Fried Rice made with frozen mixed vegetables. Desserts were tasteless. Custard was like water. Caesar Salad was like a soup?? Seafood not on ice. Hot dishes not kept warm. Poured into unheated serving dishes. Extremely disappointing will never attend again, and I would advise others not to as well. I wonder how many people will become unwell.

We went to the Band club to watch a Dance concert and were looking forward to it. We got signed in and told we needed to become members next time because of where we live-I don't see why I NEED TO BECOME A MEMBER when I only went there to watch a Dance concert and won't return unless I am watching a dance concert. We ordered a meal to take upstairs to eat whilst watching said concert and was told it would be a 40 minutes wait for the 2 pepperoni pizzas and 2 bowls of chips. We got after food and the pizza was disgusting! It didn't look like pepperoni pizza and tasted funny. I returned the pizza and was asked in a rude way 'what's wrong with it?' I told the lady at the bistro that it doesn't even look like pepperoni pizza-it looks disgusting and tastes funny (not right) so I would like a refund. She proceeds to tell me that's how they come and it's just how it is. The lady turns to the male manager and says 'she doesn't like her pizza and wants a refund' the manager then gives me the refund without an apology or even trying to address why the pizza was unsatisfactory...extremely poor service and I definitely WILL NOT BECOME A MEMBER...

I came here for dinner on the 13/11/23 just after 8pm. I had to join because I am now local which was fine so after becoming a member we made our way to the bistro for dinner. The lady at the entry was lovely. We ordered a drink then made our way to the counter to order. The lady at the bistro was SO RUDE. She had the worst customer service technique of any wait person I have ever encountered. Considering I ran restaurants and worked in the hospitality industry for nearly 30 years I think I have some idea. The food was ok. Normal bistro style with Asian selections also. It needed seasoning and the vegetables were undercooked but it is what it is. I can't work out if she was so angry and rude because we were the only diners and she wanted to go home or if she is naturally just a terrible waitress but regardless, I would not employ her even if it meant I couldn't open the doors. With other dining options such as the leagues club or the diggers, I will not come back. The only reason I gave two stars is that I gave one for the door lady who knew what customer service entails.

Difficult. I attend a class here every week. Most of the staff we come into contact with are very friendly, however, on many occasions repairs or setting up of tables and chairs are being undertaken in the hall while we are there, a bit off putting. Although our instructor has a regular weekly booking if someone else wants the hall, or they want to set up for a big event later in the day we are given the boot, sometimes with very short notice. Cafe staff do seem to be a little confused at times, repeating order incorrectly, and I haven't had a HOT hot chocolate, despite requesting it extra hot! Definitely needs an overhaul.

Been a member for 5 yrs, however, will not be going back.
So sick and tired of being ignored when I have an issue. The CEO and management refuse to reply to my letters and emails. They are just not interested and don't want to know. Completely hopeless.
Their only interest is taking your money. Like all clubs today. Total parasites.
So if your looking to join a club and be treated like your appreciated and listened to then this isn't the club.
A lot of members have left so I'm not the only unsatisfied member.

The menu never changes to the point of when you decide to order something you go up to the counter, only to be rudely and abruptly shown to a sign that says it's no longer available. The abrupt female at the counter doesn't even have the courtesy to speak to you when she dumped the sign in your face, The menus are laminated and falling apart. The blackboard hasn't been cleaned properly in months and it's hard to read. Put in. There is gaps through the menu that things have just been scrubbed out on the blackboard.

Quite clearly, the chef needs to change, and so does the person at the front counter.
People with courtesy and imagination. The fact that whenever I go in, there is hardly anyone eating food is a testament to itself..

It's come to a point now that when my father asked other family members to go and make an excuse that they have to be somewhere else.

Yet I see in the reviews regarding the rudeness of the female at the front counter. We will be dealing with it, but nothing is ever done. She still there, and she runs it like she owns the place.. which is another reason. The place is probably quiet, sometimes the way she has spoken to my father. If I was a female, I would slap her across the face.

It's a shame because there is a beautiful team in this club and the outlay of the property is calm and relaxing.

Come on guys get your act together it's not just about the pokies. Although if your food was better, you'd probably have more people in and then playing on them.

10/10 staff are friendly and a great atmosphere

Staff are unwelcoming, rude, petty. We made reservations in the restaurant for Sat 18 March, 2023. Reception staff were very unhelpful. Not greeted at reception, was motioned to hand her my I.D. Instead of contacting the restaurant staff to verify my event they attempted to send me down the road to the diggers club, even though I had a party planner already setting up on-site. I located the location of our dinner after advocating to check for myself and came back to let the receptionists know so they weren't turning away any of my guests and was met with passive aggressive and defensive behaviour. Was told the restaurant was an entity of its own so in rebuttal I clarified 'so what you're telling me is you don't communicate.' She gave me a shrug like a problem teenager although she was clearly my grandma's age. She then went on an unrelated spiel to make sure my guests were documented like we were at the Mexican border. A few minutes later, I'm approached by the Restaurant/ Functions manager who was concerned about the numbers arriving and not about whether they would even make it to the actual reserved tables which was my only concern. Not a good experience. Fix your internal communications so this doesn't occur again and in 2023 everyone knows adults should have ID on licensed venues, they didn't come to fruition overnight some of your venues were established over decades ago. It is not your job to remind people, especially people of colour about documentation it's inherently racist, you can check at the door which is what your compliance empowers you to do and that's where your jurisdiction ends.

Food is okay. Staff at food counter are blunt and direct I find that poor and rude some bar staff also rude no service with a smile.
Before we had all finished eating they started taking dishes away from our table.
Plus the Cheese burgers are half the size but same price.
Food quality was good as always service was quick which is good. But not worth more than 2 stars this time.

Food is great customer service great... but for goodness sake wipe the tables down properly please.

between the two eateries no one was in there but most of the tables were sticky and dirty, not wiped properly... a real turn off

Went to The Good Drop Cafe today for lunch, a cuppa & cake. The food was was great, the prices more than fair & we left extremely full. Lovely & clean too. A special shout out to the amazing lady who was working, didn't get her name unfortunately, she did most of it herself & got all our orders right & nothing was too much trouble for her. A really lovely lunch, definitely going back again

The food in this place was quite nice and loved the cafe too. My toddler ran over NEAR the games area and I was going to get her. A really rude staff member( a dark haired guy) spoke to me in an unfriendly manner. When I said that I know, kids aren't supposed to go there, and I said that I was going over to get my kid from there ( carpet area) he said that I was giving him attitude. Teach your staff some customer service and to talk to customers politely. I didn't go on trying to argue with him because I was there to have a good time with family and friends. Really unhappy with this experience. Disgusting ?

I've only be coming here recently and for meetings .I have found the cafe staff even though friendly continue to get the coffee's orders wrong most of the time as they don't write them down. However there is good variety of food and price is great.

Really friendly staff, food was good and reasonably priced. I feel the only thing they were lacking was customers?? Other reviews talk about a "great" atmosphere but I dined here on a Saturday night and I feel that they were lacking one entirely. I don't think its a call on the club itself, they're not missing any facilities that I can think of, but it makes a fun night out kind of depressing.

Food on Saturday night at The Table was dreadful. Hubby and I had a burger. No sauce, no flavour except for the charred burnt food that was previously cooked on the grill. The chicken was dry and on Turkish bread. Burger buns please. Also the lady taking the orders was so rude and abrupt!! Won't be back

Definitely worth a visit, lovely area's to relax and socialise, very clean throughout. Beautiful food and nice cold refreshments. Staff are cheerful.

Great food in the restaurant, nice and quiet when we were there 11:00hrs. It's still a good place for a meal. Covid must not be so active as there were a few more people than usual. Still a good place for good food.

Nice club, not too big, plenty of parking for lunch. Mother's Day 2022 buffet $43, good value. Not too busy, plenty of space and a good variety of food, including seafood, roasts, asian, salads and dessert. Games room for the kids with a couple of old school video games (Frogger!) Staff were polite and friendly.

Such a great friendly customer service. Excellent supportive team. Great club.

I was at St Mary's Band Club for a solemn occasion, a wake of a friend's mother and found the service friendly and food spot on and money for value.. I would recommend this place to anyone who had a family get together.
