Staying at the Stockton caravan park. This amazing little gem is a must. They are dog friendly outside, with super friendly staff and really yummy food best chips and burgers, pizza good too. But the staff are amazing thank you. Totally recommend.

Ordered grilled chicken breast on cauliflower purée with fennel salad, cauliflower purée was so salty it over powered the dish, chicken and salad very bland for $35 will not be back for a meal, very disappointing.

A classic old school Bowlo with a big green out the back perfect for live music. There's always great entertainment and the food is awesome too, and well priced! The building is a little weathered but it's a classic piece of Australiana ??™?

The small part I saw of the bowls club is in need of a makeover, but looks like a lot of friendly locals enjoy coming here. Nice atmosphere

TERRIBLE customer service from bar manager. She yelled at my partner and myself for wanting to buy a can of coke and sunkiss/was just generally prejudice to both of us. i DO NOT recommend going there if you have any tattoos/lots of piercings as they will clearly judge you and treat you worse because of it. Clearly run by a Karen.

Ask me why the 1 star? If you don't respond I am submitting a report to the appropriate organization. You know what its about, you neglect your duty under your license conditions, you need to be responsible, yet you decide to be deceitful.

Offers full bar service and restaurant. Meals are freshly made with special deal nights eg Schnitzel Thursday and Steak Tuesday. These nights, special includes the meal and a drink. Great value. We had the schnitzel. The schnitzels were a good size with the schnitzel and the sauces freshly made.

Great live band on a Sunday arvo. Everyone was up dancing. Awesome vibe!

Had dinner there a few nights ago and it was fantastic! The meals, the service, the price... everything!

I can see why my pop loved this place so much! Stockton bowling club is positioned in a picturesque location. Situated right next to the beach and the park, this is the perfect spot to bring the whole family for a nice meal. Recently the lovely staff opened to our family on a day they would usually be closed to the public, to accommodate pops wake. The food was lovely and the staff were very welcoming.

Only stayed 1 nights I found the unit I stayed in very spacious for 3 but big enough room for 6. The unit was very clean on arrival and well maintained, would liked to have stayed longer. The office staff were very obliging and friendly. I would recommend the Caravan Park to all who would like a nice quiet holiday.

Had a great afternoon watching a band on the green, would have been 5 star except not enough servers and there were big line ups gor drinks

*** RUST BISTRO*** Bowling Club it self is great. But unfortunately not a great experience dinning at Rust bistro which seems to be contracted out.

Dinned last Friday night.

It took over an hour to get my order of 1 burger, While busy not that busy, It was really due to poor management of the process. When we started out order we were asked if were all the same table this was a yes. So all orders placed on the same buzzer pretty standard but that is were the trouble started. Our buzzer went off and we went up to collect out order only to find out that the it was the first lot items only that were ready and they seem to be confused as to what was happening staff then handed back the buzzer and said we will buz when the rest is ready. What occurred from here is that they buzzed when each individual order was ready not as a complete order. So after 5 separate trips to the counter I finally got my order. If your system can not batch orders don't offer the service just offer each person there own individual buzzer.

While others were happy with there food and made mention of this. Unfortunately mine was not up to scratch. The bun had just been pulled from the fridge and was cold and had that fridge taste about.
The pattie was luke warm at best. The kids meal of fish and chips had old and cold chips and just 1 piece of fish on it, It was not very big, Think KFC chicken tender size. It was like they had forgotten my order and rushed to get it out. It such shame as I do like jumping on the ferry and going over to Stockton with friends and family for dinner. While I will still have beer at the club I will now think twice on the food option. And being that most time when we visit we are looking to eat as well the club may miss out most occasions. I didn't bother complaining as the staff seemed to be annoyed with out presence and it felt it would have fallen on deaf years.

I guess it's ok? Unfortunately it seems unremarkable in every respect. This seems to be a bit of a problem in Stockton. There's too many establishments selling the very same thing. There is a distinct lack of culinary variety, and this is embodied here at the Stockton bowling club. However, The staff behind the bar are very friendly, and should be commended on their excellent service.

Pumpkin and crispy kale salad was very good. The toasted almonds and hummus made it a full meal, the pumpkin was roasted perfectly. If I go back I'll ask for more crispy kale - it was salty and delicious! Obviously a popular place with locals, lots of families and a women's bowling team celebrating a win ! The rest of the menu was standard and a gnocchi dish was the one other non-animal protein option. Which meant that the pumpkin salad being good was an especially lovely surprise! My partner ordered fish and chips and said they were good and had a nice side salad with them.

Had the belly pork. Was delicious! Great food, but the food took a long time to be served.

Terrible service, took over an hour and a half for garlic bread and another 20 minutes for 2 meals just a simple schnitzel and ricotta gnocchi, we ended up getting it in a take away container and open them up and the chips and mash were cold for the amount of time you have to wait it's truely not worth it, no pre warning about the time it would take just every time I went up oh another 20 minutes, another 15 minutes, the foods half decent but Definitely not worth it and for the price not big portions , definitely won't be going back again. Ordered at 640 and got the food at 820 absolutely unacceptable.

We visited for dinner on a Wednesday night. The service is very fast and efficient. The meals were reasonable size and taste was okay.

A great local venue with friendly staff happy to welcome you. The restaurant was amazing and happy to help with gluten free and vegetarian options. The vegitarian fried rice was sensational. Thank you. I'll be back.

This quiet little restaurant serves really fantastic Chinese meals (mainly). The food is top quality and the servings are generous. Just perfect for those quiet evenings when you feel like something different. The prices are very reasonable. We dine there frequently and have always left there feeling very satisfied. We are booked in again on Xmas Eve and taking a visiting friend. Highly recommended.

Some of the best views in Newcastle. Perfectly located to watch local sporting matches. Cold beer at reasonable prices. The food from the bistro is average, but good enough as ballast for a gutload of booze. They have lots of pokies, go on and pay your voluntary stupidity tax. There is an awesome downstairs bar that opens for functions and live bands on the green. Sunday summer sessions are legendary.
