Sussex Inlet Bowling Club - Club in Sussex Inlet New South Wales

Ate here a couple of times on a recent holiday. There are not a lot of dinner options in Sussex Inlet apart from an RSL, pub, Thai and the Bowling Club. Food is okay but the second night we ate here, many items on the menu were unavailable from the start of service at 5.30pm. Go to the Thai - much better.

I went there Sunday noon, there was a nice waitress. She was super kind and pretty. I guess shes the reason the food taste really good as she brings good atmosphere to the place. Typical Sussex club, not overly welcoming or friendly and service is average on the best days.
3 star review down graded to a 1 because I can't give it a zero!
Tons of knobs being loud and inconsiderate which is seemingly the main stay of guests using clubs these days, more then a few being locals.
There was a time when these peoples feet would have not touched the carpets on their way out the door.
The bistro has very sadly changed hands more recently.
The menu has been cut into an 1/8th of the previous one!
Food from the bistro now varies from poor to pathetic depending on what you order and how busy the kitchen is.
The last 5 times we've used this bistro we have regretted it.
Value is terrible given the quality of the meals served.
The bowling club doesn't seem to get quite as busy as the RSL which might just be proximity related.
There is a courtesy bus though.
It's hard in Sussex with food, both clubs doing very poor Asian style food and the only other decent restaurant being Thai.
Most of the other options close in the afternoon or completely unreliable with opening times and availability of menu. Photos are from the previous menu.

Had the roast of the day. Very disappointing. Food was cold. It may have been nice 2 days ago.
Club itself is pretty nice. Entertainment that night was ok.
Will I go back? I doubt it.

Took a while for the food. The food was ok, not the best but not the worst. I should've known but the Satay Chicken pizza was less Satay and more cheese, pineapple and capsicum.
