I went there Sunday noon, there was a nice waitress. She was super kind and pretty. I guess shes the reason the food taste really good as she brings good atmosphere to the place. Typical Sussex club, not overly welcoming or friendly and service is average on the best days.
3 star review down graded to a 1 because I can't give it a zero!
Tons of knobs being loud and inconsiderate which is seemingly the main stay of guests using clubs these days, more then a few being locals.
There was a time when these peoples feet would have not touched the carpets on their way out the door.
The bistro has very sadly changed hands more recently.
The menu has been cut into an 1/8th of the previous one!
Food from the bistro now varies from poor to pathetic depending on what you order and how busy the kitchen is.
The last 5 times we've used this bistro we have regretted it.
Value is terrible given the quality of the meals served.
The bowling club doesn't seem to get quite as busy as the RSL which might just be proximity related.
There is a courtesy bus though.
It's hard in Sussex with food, both clubs doing very poor Asian style food and the only other decent restaurant being Thai.
Most of the other options close in the afternoon or completely unreliable with opening times and availability of menu. Photos are from the previous menu.

Had the roast of the day. Very disappointing. Food was cold. It may have been nice 2 days ago.
Club itself is pretty nice. Entertainment that night was ok.
Will I go back? I doubt it.

Took a while for the food. The food was ok, not the best but not the worst. I should've known but the Satay Chicken pizza was less Satay and more cheese, pineapple and capsicum.

No taste to the food what sooo ever..I had chicken chow mein.. tasteless with deep-fried noodles at the bottom??, and everything else in the dish was blanched, certainly not cooked in a wok...my husband had sticky pork ribs again tasteless with a sauce poured over. The chef and kitchen needs to bring the standard of food up to the RSL...

Over all it's a nice location and great facilities but the place might need to review it's rules around children not allowed at the bar. Was asked to leave my two year old in another area while I paid for my drinks which I thought didn't not make sense and unsafe. Review of all rules in the place to ensure they are serving the customer and the business would be recommended.

The location is amazing.
Great views to the water. The staff is friendly.

The design and setting of the interior spaces is a little lacking, unfortunately.

The worst thing was the wait for the food. It was over 1 hour and 40 minutes. I just left...
The kitchen is obviously understaffed.

On the plus side, the food at the other tables looked good, and the portions are huge!
If you are prepared to wait for 2 hours for your food, this place will be perfect for you.

Food just average level, taste is ok. However don't know what they put into the meat, to make the meat extremely tender, even lose the meat its original texture. Chicken laksa you can't believe what you chew is chicken, got no chicken meat texture at all. Took us more than 1 and half hour to get the food... price is cheaper than normal restaurants.

We ordered lunch here, good view , many dishes are ok size and good taste, except the prawn laksa and coffee are not the best.

22ND end restaurant in the club has very poor service yes I understand it was busy but we waited 2 hours for our meal. When we asked at an hour and a half after ordering we were told it's not cooked by order number! Not a good way to run a business would never eat here again and would never recommend anyone eating here the food was also very average... not happy at all

What a nice friendly little club with great food and the courtesy bus driver went to the extra trouble of taking my friend back home as he forgot his wallet!??

Food was excellent, disappointing as drove from Sydney thinking the DUO would be playing where the dance floor is as previously every time time we visited the club, but to our disappointment they played in the lounge travelled two and half hours just to listen and not dance

What a disgrace. Drove from Sydney to Sussex Inlet for a relaxing week with mum and after I had signed in with my drivers licence this Bowling Club wouldn't let my 85yr old mother in coz she isn't a driver n hasn't got photo ID.
Their loss we spent our $$$$ elsewhere.

The club is well positioned with lovely water views. The staff are very friendly while being professional. Food is lovely. However, the board of directors has a narrow minded opinion of unvaccinated patrons, refusing them entry long after the mandates were removed.

I used to love this club not any more people that work there now are so rude. I was so embarrassed to bring my family there. I kept apologizing to them for there rudeness It was like the workers didn't want to be there. And we were copping there negative energy. Enter at your own risk lol

Food was quite bland however just needed a bit of salt.. It looked great and the floor & bar staff was very helpful and approachable. Would go again. Mick on wheels performed here this night, enjoyed his music very much.

Great night and great dinner. Food was brilliant and staff professional polite and friendly. Everyone working here is helpful and friendly, a true pleasure. Well worth the visit.

Had 2 meals here and both were great. The chef was very accommodating to food intolerances and allergies. Very knowledgeable about their meals which isn't always the case we've found elsewhere. Would definitely come back again

The quietest club in town. Beautiful outlook. Chinese food is good. Super friendly staff. On popular nights you have to wait a little too long for food, but we were there when capacity had just increased. Hopefully more staff will be available by the next school holidays!

Reasonably cheap and big portions. My wife enjoyed her laksa but my special fried rice was burnt and permeated every mouthful unfortunately. Sweet and sour pork was ok but I've had much, much better. I wanted to give 2 stars but wife insisted on 3.
