The view here is beautiful, you can't beat it really. The outside area is well set up with a sensational canapy just the right height to shield the sun and open out this brilliant view. The food, however, was not so great today. We waited over 45 minutes for three salads, they were small, dry and not appealing, my Ceasar salad was a very small serving and cost $21 with no extras, invisible bacon and light on dressing. The prawn salad was a bowl of white vermicelli noodles with a couple of sad looking prawns on-top, no dressing (oops guess the kitchen is busy), where is the salad in this dish I wondered. Other people ordered deep fried fish, chicken, lots of chips and that looks like the club grub they do best. Hard to get chips and deep fried food wrong, it's the right location for it. Still, I thought it was expensive. You pay at the counter so there is no table service but we waited an hour after eating to get our plates cleared in the end we went and ordered coffee, which was $9 for two luke warm cups of pretty ordinary coffee. Lots of nice cakes but $4.80 for a shortbread biscuit, and only one gluten free option. The place was pretty busy and as there was noone really free to clear plates people's left over food was getting attacked by birds which flew through the restaurant. The people servering at the counter, bar and at sign in were pleasant, and efficient. Parking not so easy, there is a carpark but it was very full, but you can get a bus or ferry easily enough which would be great. Wheelchair accessible, it ticks a lot of boxes. Mixed experience, I'd go again at a different time of day.
