Tradies Helensburgh

Good kids play areas, bistro could do with a revamp, very old and tired unlike the other tradies in the shire. Food is good, grilled barramundi was good, staff were friendly. Good for families.

As a first time customer the service was very unwelcoming and uncomfortable. We arrived at 11:50 and sat down at the bistro area. At 12 my partner and I ordered garlic bread, chicken schnitzel, and battered flat head which came to $70 (not an issue). After an hour of waiting we noticed that most people who came in after us had received theirs orders. We thought we should just take our receipt to the register just to make sure the order went through as we understand that sale systems can sometimes muck up as we have both worked in retail. When it was our turn my partner began to ask the young man if our order had gone through but she was quickly and rudely interrupted by an older woman in the bistro. She said "In case you haven't noticed we are very busy". My partner then went to say that is okay, we understand, however she was cut off again and the women said "all you have to do is look around, like seriously" looking at us like we have just said something awful. We just chose to walk away as there was clearly no point in asking a simple question. We walked away feeling very uncomfortable and like we shouldn't be eating here. When we got back to the table, after 5 minutes the other people at the table with us all had received their orders. We waited another half an hour and then decided to check again. At this point everyone at our table had finished their food and wanted to leave. When we went to check, we asked another man who was running the tickets. He looked on the shelf and ours was there waiting. We said thank you and left to go back to our table. As we started eating, we noticed that most of the food was very cold, and when I cut into the fish it was raw. We decided it would be best not to tell the staff, as only asking if our order went through warranted a very rude response. All in all we absolutely no issue with the hour and a half wait, but considering the price here, we would think that the service would be at least good, and that seafood was served cooked.

I just hope the owner takes this review and some others I've seen and tries to improve their service, as no one likes giving a place a harsh review.

Located at 30 Boomerang Street, Helensburgh, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺. This is a good place to come to for a good meal at a reasonable price. It's great for the family. It has a wonderful children's playground area that I must say even adults might enjoy 😊. The food tastes great and the staff are attentive and friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend it.

I attended a meet up with a friend and few others to have dinner here and was very impressed by how good the food was and the experience everyone's meals were great and eaten in full.
I had a chicken schnitzel with chips and salad was delicious and the best I have had in a long time nicely cooked no oily residue hot chips and salad nicely dressed.
Others had seafood basket looked great.
Steak with mash and veggies, fish cocktails with mash and veggies and another schnitzel chips and salad we also had a garlic bread to start with and shared was a great meal and area was nice sat in the bar on big long table with the football on a Friday night. Service was great at the bistro and bar. Well done and will be returning soon.

The Trades Helensburgh offers a delightful dining experience perfect for families. I tried the New York pizza, which was quite good - crispy crust, flavorful toppings, and just the right amount of cheese.

The family-friendly atmosphere truly stood out, especially with the enclosed play area for the kids. It made the meal more relaxing, knowing the children had a safe and fun space to enjoy themselves.

Additionally, the food was well-priced, offering excellent value for money. The Trades Helensburgh is a great spot for a tasty meal and a comfortable, welcoming environment for the whole family.

We like to come on a Wednesday night for Trivia and a meal. Some of the largest chicken schnitzels I have ever seen are served here! The pizzas are tasty and the prices reasonable.

THIS PLACE SUCKS! Do not come here the staff are rude and the foods disgusting.There were kids on top of the playground like what! The kids are rude too,a kid came up too me and said I stole something! Definitely do not come here.

Great experience, beef checks and lamb shanks were delicious. Fun area for kids to play

Absolutely love this club now !!!
Lived locally for 11 years and attended the club for dinner over that time. Is was ok, but the last few months have been great and our family have dinner at the bistro at least fortnightly. So many choices and the ones I have tried have been exceptional.
This club has improved immensely over the past 6 months and I'm loving the cocktails 🍸

Extremely disappointing..

I chose the Tradies Helensburgh tonight to celebrate my birthday with dinner. Despite being signed in with a member, I was denied entry due to not having 3 forms of identification. (A valid NSW drivers licence + a valid bank card apparently isn't enough anymore)

Probably explains why this is a failing venue and cannot afford to open the hours and days that they once did.

Luckily the local pub provided excellent service and food. Highly recommend it when you get turned away from this one because you didn't bring your Medicare Card and Birth Certificate to dinner.
