Great place to go. Nice meals from breakfast to your evening meal or anything in between or long into the night. This place just seems to have everything in a club.

The staff here are incredible, the food is top notch (I mean, is there a better Schnitty in Newcastle? I think not.), the playground is lovely and covered from the sun, fenced in, and around it is such a lovely outdoor eating area with great atmosphere. Their weekly specials make eating out as a family very affordable and the portion sizes are great. Wonderful place for dinner, family day out, watch the game with some mates, or just drinks with friends. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend the pub's baramundi with bokchoy on noodles on the current special spring menu. I've been to the steakhouse twice & the food is ??'?? Amber served my table both times & she is always lovely.

Room service breakfast provided by Diggers - food was excellent, even the poached eggs were perfectly cooked. Slightly more expensive than the same meal at a coffee shop (ignoring the service fee). Also the only drink I could order was coffee, which I'm not a fan of.

Went for lunch, and we saw a special for $14 snitzel meals. As we were not members, we were charged $22, I didn't see where it said members price only. We still bought the meals, not worth that money. Snitty was good. Peas like bullets. Rest of the veg was ok

Clean, including the bathrooms, great food/price and very friendly/helpful staff. First time coming and will be back. Conveniently located not too far off the freeway. So much better of a choice than McDonald's or KFC!

Friendly, relaxed, family oriented club. Spacious acomfortable.
Bistro has good range on the menu and well priced. Meals prepared and served quickly. Outdoor area with big bench seating to cater for large groups is ideal.
Was a cool afternoon and staff promptly lit several gas heaters to keep patrons warm.
Staff polite and friendly.
Big range of slot machines and roulette video for those that enjoy a flutter.

We held a 'Wake' here for a long time patron and loved one. The club couldn't have done better. Private bar and venue space, attentive staff with great food and drink. I honestly couldn't think of a better, easier venue to do this. Accommodation near by made it an easy choice for our out of town visitors and making it very comfortable for all involved. Nice work guys. Thankyou

Had lunch and got Chicken Snitzel, Mash Potato, peas, carrots, pumpkin and Gravy.
The meal was of good quality and washed it down with an alcoholic ginger beer.
Would recommend you give it a try if you are in the area.

Ashley from functions helped organise a corporate day with over 100 people. She was amazing , there was nothing she could not fix, food beautiful and delicious, room spacious and comfortable. I would definitely recommend W D for any function and hope to use again

Recently held a 90th birthday party for my mum. I can not faulty anything. The venue (Mazza Bar) took my breath away it was set up perfectly. Ashley - the events coordinator was wonderful to deal with. She was so helpful from start to finish, nothing was a problem. The venue was very clean, the food was lovely & all electronical equipment needed was there. I really give 5 stars but this time it is well deserved.

Diggers is a great little RSL. They've just recently revamped their kitchen and have some fantastic offerings, including some of the best pizza in the hunter! Atmosphere is great and the staff are always friendly. Plus, they have my favourite beer, Asahi, on tap! Great spot for big gatherings too!

First time visitor and pleasantly surprised at the warm welcome and atmosphere. Attended the Steak House and had a great meal. Definitely considering making it one of our locals.

Sunday 21/8 booked outdoor area for 14 people to celebrate my husbands retirement what a disaster .. screaming unsupervised children running around ..

I will only talk about my order veal Parma no topping but gravy on the side !!
Chicken satay skewers no satay served with baked pumpkin n potato was a special of the day to be served with rice!!! Steak cooked to order but full of gristle!!! My family also had issues with their orders which I won't even mention

We hosted a first birthday party in the "Steak Room" on Sunday. The experience we had was fantastic. About to write an email outlining how well the event team were to the club as we were so well taken care of. The food on the day is a little pricey, $780 to feed a party of 40 and not much left but it was fresh and delicious. If you are considering a club venue for a kids birthday and you want private space near a playground, this was excellent.

We had a table of 10 on Saturday night and we all loved the food! 4 of us ordered the share plate and everything was delicious! Absolutely enjoyed it! We had a server named Brady, he was very friendly, helpful and did a great job of making us feel welcome!

Food is typical club food but is well priced and always fresh and tasty.
The staff here are excellent, always friendly and nothing is a problem ,even when we bring our own birthday cake they are only to happy to provide plates cutlery etc and always with a smile

They have a bistro and the food is ok....staff are welcoming overall if you're looking for a place to unwind its never overcrowded and lots of pokies to choose from.

We went for lunch as non-members. $3 price difference for meals was a bit rich. The meals were already expensive at members price. The meals were nothing special. The staff 'just doing their job'. No background music. No atmosphere. Nothing that would make me come back.

Food was great and so was the lady who served us. As for the bar person, she was very rude to my partner. 2nd visit for me. Last time the raffle lady was not very pleasant. Never again.

Pleasant staff.a nice bright club open till 1 in the morning. The kitchen closes at 8 PM and when I ordered medium rare steak it was medium rare. I had a nice dinner arriving at 7.45pm. They have breakfast starting at 7am ehich is a bonus.

Nice club with bistro available with very reasonably priced meals. The meal I purchased was well presented the steak & vegetables were very good, steak was excellent & veggies cooked to perfection unlike some other clubs & bistros who serve them almost raw. # Well done Diggers for a most enjoyable meal & visit.

Have recently tried out the new breakfast options and Wallsend Diggers. Absolutely fabulous! I have the eggs benny and it was too big to finish. Great coffee, great service, no waiting at a small cafe for a table on a Saturday morning and even a great play area for the kids so I could drink my coffee and eat my food while it was still HOT! Thanks guys!
