Very disappointing they advertised they open at 12 midday and we arrived there at 12.15 and they were still closed so I gave them a call to inquire if they were going to be open for lunch and I was told 1 staff member had not turned up so we would have to wait until 1.30 until 2 staff members were present as they could not open with just 1 staff member, we waited for 1.30 and then entered the golf club and ask for a table for 2 and we were told the don't do any meals and have not done so for quite some time as they have no chef, they could have told us that before we waited outside for 1 hour for them to open . People need to update websites and place notices if there is a problem the with the day to day running of the business.

Great to see locals working behind the bar! Fun times with the meat raffles. Unfortunately the worst Chinese we've ever had. Fried rice over cooked with absolutely no flavour other than salt. Chicken chow mein & garlic beef chewy & salty. I think there was a reason the locals weren't eating it just us travellers!

1 Star because:

- No tomato sauce to go with chips at the restaurant and always can't order 1/2 the menu.
- Manager won't allow me to take my 3 year old child to the same bathroom as me when either of us need to go to the toilet which is a clear safety issue.
- Pokies plonked right in the middle of the main area. Would be the only club in Australia not to put them in a side room/area. means families can't access 99% of the club.
- prickles in the bowling green.
- salt bush on the golf course.
- I didn't get a look in for the christmas lights competition.
- No music allowed and no duke box etc.
- Tennis courts need some sand.

I still go there 2 nights a week.

Wish these guys would move the pokies to the back room so families could enjoy the main area. Offer steak/salad (and tomato sauce) in restaurant. Maintain and use bowling green/tennis courts. Make the policy for non-members clear to security guards (currently have to argue with security guard for a while to gain access to admin staff to either sign in or pay membership). Everyone's friendly though. I sort of like the place.

Excellent food and service. The staff where really friendly. Very tasty Asian inspired food.

If you visit wilcannia don't go to the golf club poor service and the restaurant has very limited facilities

Staff were great and it was Mother's day so we were accepted with Mum and met people over a few drinks with lots of shared warmth

I've been to this club a couple of times and the food has been fantastic with fantastic staff...what more could you ask for

Absolutely amazing staff

Very bad service from the lady at the front counter till the manager had to come and sort it out. My partner was refused to get 50 dollars cash out from the bar to go pay for Chinese as they only do cash. But the manager was nice enough to sort it.

The staff at the Wilcannia golf club are very friendly and accommodating. Beverages are ice cold and at a reasonable price. The Chinese restaurant has meals that is of a high standard and is quite delicious. There is a courtesy bus that will take you to anywhere in the town once you have visited. Highly recommend visiting the golf club when visiting Wilcannia township!
