I just had the Chicken Parma it was the best I've had for years. Great service with a smile would 100% recommend having a meal at the RSL and my wife had a great Hohkien Chicken stir fry

Sunday night, thought we'd have a break. All had the lamb roast plus a hamburger and chips. The lamb was full of gristle and barely warm, the vegetables were cold. The hamburger meat was burnt and the chips were cold. Have dined here heaps of times and this was the worst meal I've ever had. Very disappointed.

Nice club by the river in Evans Head. Food is great. I had the snapper,chips and salad for $28 and it was so nice I forgot to take a photo!

It was a very hot day so decided to take my 2 young grandchildren here for lunch to escape the heat. We each had a childs meal which were large and very tasty. We sat at a table with a lovely view of the river and drank fire engines and jugs of ice cold water. Being a Friday lunch time it wasn't too busy, the staff were lovely and appeared delighted with my 2 slightly boisterous darlings

We had a lovely meal of curry prawns , ginger and soy pork chop with vegetables

We just had a few drinks & a Supreme pizza at the rsl. Drinks were good but the pizza was horrible. Definitely a frozen pizza with a few bits & pieces thrown on. I felt completely insulted paying $27 & the young lady reassuring me it wasn't a $5 frozen pizza & walking away without even worrying.... Don't put out a full menu on Monday lunch if you don't have chefs. We have eaten at many places over many years & I think I know what frozen pizza taste like ?

Beautiful views and yummy food with great price.

I've visited a fair few times mostly for the Reschs, this last visit was for the surfboard swap meet. What a great day! Excellent way to engage with the local community, meet a heap of old diggers, had an amazing dinner and once again drank lots of Reschs! Still very happy that the club supports the Reschs Appreciation Society along with the stamp. But best of all the surfboard display was excellent! Will definitely be back next year, as we enjoyed staying in a local motel for a couple nights it was a great few days to Evans Head.

The young guy and older guy behind the bar were lovely.

The food was nice - I enjoyed the lamb cutlets. The seafood pasta just seemed like it had a store creamy sauce with it... seafood was great but the sauce could do with some work.

The reason for taking off a star is due to the trivia lady. We parked our van outside and came in. We are a younger couple in our late 20s, and she confronted us saying we couldn't camp there, we said we weren't as we are staying at reflections...she said 'you better not'. I found this so rude... mind your business and don't tell us what to do. I bet she wouldn't have confronted an older couple. I felt like I was being scolded by an old granny. What is with this town and grumpy old people?

When she was running the trivia, you could barely understand her. She couldn't pronounce basic words as was mumbling. She basically sat down the whole time until she had a few drinks and then was getting in people's faces. A strange lady.

We are visitors to the area and decided to have dinner at the bistro...staff were lovely and friendly..the meals were absolutely delicious ? and good size serving meals..

Had a lovely meal which was better than expected . From the friendly greeting (Justin) to the friendly farewell . He is an asset . All staff very welcoming and we look forward to our next visit .

Basic but nice great food

Awesome Club and position on the River. Great, no super meals. Fab entertainment.

Attended a paint n sip event. Nibble food provided was nice except Sao type crackers got a bit soggy. Staff were friendly. Large area to dine

Not very nice fish, oily batter and chips.
Salad wasn't the best.
Hearing the "chef" in the kitchen carry on when he was told made us leave straight away.
Steak was ok but veges were pathetic.
Overpriced for the quality.

One of the worst meals I've had in along time!
After spending an exuberant price for a steak (their cheapest), had to send it back because it was way overcooked. The second steak wasn't much better... but I was hungry.
The facilities are run down. The food was poor... the only good thing was cheap drinks.

Disappointing for such a lovely little town.

Had dinner there tonight (group of 6). Three of my group had the 'special' 250g rump steak, chips & salad. The steak was tough, hard to cut and chewy - very disappointed.
I had seafood marinara - again very poor quality - the sauce had no flavour and tasted like a canned sauce while the amount of seafood was meagre.
The crumbed lamb cutlets were delicious and the fish cakes were ok.
Desserts - 1 x cheese cake and 1x pavlova - they were good.
The club itself was fine, but I would definitely not recommend the main meals.

We really enjoyed our lunch. I booked a table on-line and had a lovely water view. Our meals were very good and reasonable priced.

Great 400 GM steak well cooked. But but but. Where's the Sauce ? They give you a tiny plastic cup of sauce. Why stuff up a great meal by being a Scrooge with the sauce? You need at least 4 times that amount. Ditch the cups and get real. We wasted heaps of chips which were fine but NO darn sauce.
Other diners said the same thing, Where's the Sauce ?

Great place to tarry and have a quiet drink and meal. We were chasing info on a relative associated with the club and the staff were really helpful. We left satisfied and armed with several local leads to follow up!

The Miss Jenny's children's dance show was marvellous, and Club Evans the food for the children was fantastic.Thank u so much for the afternoon.

Hands down the best feed and night out Ive had in the northern Rivers. I got the 400 gram scotch fillet and it was bloody amazing. I'm going back next week. The staff are all so nice and polite. If I could give you guys a 10 star review I would!!!

First time visitor to the RSL and was not dissapointed. Was a veryBusy night but the meals came out promptly and perfectly cooked. Meal prices represent good value for money as do the bar prices.Plenty of space to socially distance and staff were very helpful and friendly.

Great friendly staff who all work hard to make your time there pleasant and easy.

Great local club with everything youd expect. Reasonable prices, good club food and pokies. Worth a serious consideration if youre in town!
