Woolgoolga Diggers - Club in Woolgoolga New South Wales

What a great find in a little awesome town on the coast
Booked a table with Catherine who welcomed us with a firm recommendation for the Malaysian dishes. We arrived to a welcoming diggers club scanned in and seated at our table.
As travelers we have lived in Malaysia and visited several times and all have a liking for great Malaysian food we ordered in anticipation from the Malaysian selection

Char kway teow, beef tending hotpot, Singapore pork ribs nasi goreng and rotis.
Informed of a wait for food.
Good things come to those who wait was exactly how we felt as the buzzer went off.
Picking up our food from the counter we were impressed with the size of the dishes as they all smelt and looked impressive.
We enjoyed all the dishes from the smoking char of the noodles with big plump prawns, the creamy fragrant beef , sticky tangy pork and crispy fluffy rotis
Well presented and executed Malaysian food that was a great reminder of our time in Malaysia
This was all done on New Year's Day and a awesome way to start our year

My wife cooks a lot of steaks at home and she was happy with the Mon night steaks and prawns special. We got to cook them at our table so she timed them for each side and they turned out pretty good. Nice one. Says a lot for the place if she says she was happy with the meal.

Stayed across from the Club and we walked across. The staff were very friendly from the moment we walked in. We had a drink at the bar before heading into the bistro from dinner. Bar staff and food service staff were amazing. Food was fantastic, if maybe a little pricey for non-members. Would definitely go here again if we stop off in Woolgoolga.

the place is cozy modern and clean.. tried king prawn butter and yummy.. but the kwetiaw is plain not tasty for asian tongue

Friendly service and meals/drinks are fantastic at a reasonable price. will be definitely coming back. Highly recommended.
