Awesome view with great meal (they accommodated my gluten free requirement but it's probably best if you let them know before you come) and the serving staff were caring, polite and attended to our groups every need. A great luncheon, highly recommended but prebook as it is popular.

Once again grew up in the area. Not a great deal has changed here. Sailing club always good for a feed and entertainment. Beaches are popular to swim at.

This is a club that has huge potential, the design is very bland and could use a huge upgrade. The view is beautiful looking out over the water even on a cloudy day. The service was very impersonal, the staff were not very welcoming or friendly and the food was just OK. Most definitely was not the best I had. I don't think I would recommend this club.

Delicious lunch here for seniors group. $20 fish and chips, includes yummy dessert and tea/coffee.

An absolutely awful experience. Arrived as the very first people of apparently 2 parties who were having separate wakes held here from very sad funerals. I approached the bar to buy a drink, and the Barman handed me a large glass full of ice. I very politely asked if half the ice could be tipped out, at which point he told me to do it myself. I asked where to do that, as from where I was standing I could see no sink or other receptacle to tip anything out. His female colleague snatches the glass off of me, very aggressively and says, "for goodness sake, we don't have time to fuss about your ice, just tip it out!". He started echoing her and they did this double-up ganging up and bullying. I tried to explain that I couldn't see the receptacle - but she just continued to shut me down and aggressively tell me "We're to busy to fuss about your little bit of ice, you should have just tipped it out". We were the first lot of guests, so they were not busy at that point. While the barman was pouring my drink, & she looked literally at me in a very aggressive manner and gave me a very aggressive fake smirk. I asked her if she was aware that we were actually grieving people from a funeral, and she said "That's why I did it for you. We don't have time to fuss about your little bit of ice, you could've done it yourself". My friend was absolutely horrified at how they were treating me, he was super shocked. He offered to pay for my drink. They went to take payment from me separately, and I checked if my friend had already paid for it. At that point, the Barman shut me down and said I had to stop and listen to him as he had to explain something to me, again overbearing & interrupting my simple question. He said the bar tab doesn't open until the family arrives. That's how early into the event it was, the family weren't even there and they were very quiet when they were claiming they were so busy. I said to him "no I wasn't inquiring about the bar tab, my friend had offered to pay for the drink. That's what I was checking".. I paid for the drink. He was trying to insinuate I was after free drinks.

Your staff are full of malice, hatred, and inhumanity towards anyone grieving, and I would stay away from your club.

Enjoyed a delicious meal today for a special family function. Ben and his staff were fantastic. Service was prompt, polite, friendly and happily accommodated dietary needs. Each of our meals were beautifully cooked and presented. Will definitely visit again.

Went to celebrate a 60th birthday, and the food was great and plentiful. All the staff were very friendly, what a great venue.

Fantastic location if you just ignore the cranes at the container terminals in the distance. Seafood restaurant excellent and very popular and bistro food is good and relatively inexpensive. Only downside to this place is if it's a nice sunny day there car park fills up very early with people going down to the beach . They really should have more control over their own car park . We've been going there for years but a few times the lack of car spaces for actual members has been terrible so we've gone somewhere else. It's a little ironic that them best time to go there is when the weather is bad.

Booked an 80th birthday lunch for 36 people and all had a great time with great food (and plenty of it) a and lovely views. Michael, Ben and the team were really accommodating and really looked after us. Highly recommend!

No words to describe my day. What a beautiful location. Service 10/10 Food 10/10 Location 10/10 Easy parking and great views. Can fault the staffs. Cocktails were done well and were on specials.

Would give it less than one star if possible. Attended a function here that was so poorly managed it was disgusting. The function room was in horrible condition, the furniture was not maintained at all, the floor was filthy, and the roof was collapsing. The Eftpos wasn't set up properly and so the staff were writing down drinks instead of correctly tracking the bar tab. It took forever to get drinks and the staff were not aware of the price of anything. One staff member (female manager) was extremely rude to guests and party organisers, yelling, swearing and speaking over the top of them when trying to sort out a misunderstanding. The security guard did a great job overall. Felt pretty sorry for the young guy behind the bar, it really seemed like there had been no training, no direction or support at all. All in all, absolutely disappointed in the experience. A complete shipwreck. All who attended were local and you know what they say about word of mouth ?????

Nice view but that's about where it ends.
Attended a function where the room was essentially a garage with some tables, chairs and a bar. Was not cleaned at all, chairs and tables cramped together, such an underwhelming set up. Disappointed from the get go. We were then met with an untrained staff member who did not know how to do their job and which essentially made the service terrible. Furthermore, eftpos and cash registers were not set up properly. The older female manager working on the 20/08 was making us feel uncomfortable and started yelling at one of the event organisers for questioning the incompetence of the lack of an eftpos machine in the function room.
As someone who has worked in hospitality for almost 4 years I am very disgusted, disappointed, and unsatisfied with my visit here. Not to the standards that I have experienced or expect as a guest. Would give a negative rating if possible. Will not be back and do not recommend visiting. The view was nice though.

Booked a table for 15 adults 5 children and was pleasantly accommodated for. Food and drinks service very friendly and professional. Very good seafood platter. Only suggestion to change seating arrangement as little crowded seated next to another large party. Thank you Yarra Bay restaurant.

We booked a large area for my fathers funeral lunch on a Monday recently.
We found the food & drinks to be of excellent quality, and great service .
Considering we had 50 people to start with , more came & this was not a problem for the restaurant .
They accommodated beautifully & we were very grateful.
Huge plus is the view too.

Beautiful place to sail skiffs from management services excellent food delious service prefect private and peaceful cool hide away it was raining so there are no photos sorry however I highly recommend a visit by those whom appreciate the quality of good down to earth service the views are perfect as is the beach family place with old fashioned values most impressed a happy place

They took a group of mine at very short notice and their service was exemplary! the food was amazing, they were fast and courteous and managed to satisfy all of our clients. cannot recommend highly enough!

Five of us went for lunch. The check in was very slow. On arrival we went to the bar for drinks and asked for and were given an a la carte menu without being told of the bistro menu which we stumbled upon when going to place our orders, we all then chose to order from the bistro menu. The food which was served in two tranches was adequate, and reasonably priced. I had a cracker with cheese when I got home.

It was a beautiful place, food was great, service was great, wonderful view, everyone loved it, Michael and his team did an excellent job, we are definitely going back there, I recommend it to everyone, from Joe

This is one of my favourite restaurants! They have great service and delicious food! They have a great atmosphere with quick service. The food is brilliant as well as the staff. I especially enjoyed the live entertainment. It is a great restaurant that I highly recommend coming for a bite to eat.

Great fresh seafood and desserts are delicious, highly recommend lobster, seafood platter and their grilled octopus. Owner and waiters are super friendly and always provide us consistent great service. If you want to avoid big crowds lunches mon-thurs the best. Really cannot fault it value for quality and seafront views!

I wanted to spoil mum and treat her to lunch and we came here because of the view and because the last time we dined here it was lovely. The food was deplorable. The seafood was heavily battered - probably a cheap frozen product and the lobster was so dry and tough it was inedible. Absolute rip off for a meal we couldn't eat. Hard to accept the view of the ocean and then have to eat frozen instead of fresh seafood that was cremated by a lousy chef.

A great little club on the shores of Yarra Bay just down the road from La Perouse. Fantastic bistro/restaurant.

Lovely casual place for lunch or dinner. Affordable drinks at club pricing.

Great spot, the Lobster Thermidor was the best ! Go and enjoy.

Club a great hidden gem. In need of an update, however a beautiful view. Bistro food fills the belly, average and cost effective. Next visit will try the restaurant.
