I'm not even gay and this is my favourite club in Brisbane. The atmosphere here is just so fun.

I have been to many (gay) night clubs all over the world but this must have been one of the worst experiences. No draught beer served, no drinks allowed on the dance floor and security checking the toilets and the dancefloor constantly. Not the relaxed atmosphere I am looking for when going out. I was also disappointed with how many straight couples were at the venue, where did all the gays go? Well, hopefully to a better venue! Brisbane deserves so much better than this place. The decoration looked nice though, so when you enter it is not immediately clear how terrible this club actually is.

It has been twice which last year and last nite me and my girlfriend come to this place and the security in front is racist and discriminating to us as Asian, we not drink alcohol and not Drunk at all, but they don't let us in as they said "you are intoxicated, sorry not tonight", but he can't proove it. After that we saw they let in some Western (Caucasian) ! Somehow I'm part of LGBTQ and got rejected in the "Gay Clubs", this is such hilarious!!

The Beat is our go-to for a great night out. I don't know anywhere else in Brisbane which comes close to the friendly vibe from staff and patrons. Cute managers Sam and Blake are fun :P
