Bubbly pup vibes, really nice steak sandwich which was cooked perfectly on a fresh roll. The staff never came to the table which was a shame, we never got asked for water or anything, just a checkup is always nice. But food came out quick and efficiently. It's a lovely old pub

Great traditional pub, with several eating areas - indoors and outdoors. Staff are cheerful, menu has classic pub fare at very reasonable prices. Amazing decor, from a tram dining area, to a spectacular painting of Queen Victoria. Coloured lead light windows add to the ambience. Function rooms available upstairs, and there's a road frontage balcony with wide views.

Place is big but can be quite noisy depending on which area you are seated in. Food and service is very average, nothing special that would make us want to come again anytime soon. The special lamb sausage roll is apparently very popular as per staff but it was quite dry inside.
