- lift out of order
- car park at rear of hotel, need to carry luggage to front access thru public bar then up 3 flights stairs.
- no chairs
- fridge sounds like a train.
- 2 penny size soap bars for toiletries
- cob webs everywhere
- no lamps, only one main light
- noisy all round.
Great location but needs a major update.
Stayed as last resort accommodation with other venues fully booked at the time & will be the last.

Went for a Saturday afternoon lunch. Very generous meals. Great homely feed!

Rooms are average, but ok if you are just sleeping.some rooms are better than others, but I generally don't expect much from these pub type places.

The staff are very polite, really good chicken Schnitzels, rump is ok.

Basic room but quite sufficient for our needs, and the price was perfect. The meal we had in the restaurant was exceptional (lamb shank with veg and a mixed grill), even though I couldn't finish it. The chef gave us a complimentary sticky pork starter, which was to die for too! Well done!

Yeah nah wouldn't recommend, hotel room was really gross, mattress had blood stains with a sheet over the top (no mattress protector), 2 extremely flat pillows for 2 people, 2 sheets as a blanket, shower had no door or curtain, carpet was stained with god knows what. Would not like to walk barefoot on it, dead bird sitting on our window. The double bed was 2 mattress pushed together and they were long over due of a trip to the tip.

Visiting family in Dubbo and went for Saturday lunch 3 people had the roast special which was really good, 1 had the mix grill and I had the chicken schnitzel and it was a really large serving but very nice and tasty. The service was above and beyond we had a bit leftover of the schnitzel so they put it in a container and asked several times during the meal if everything was ok. Will be back on my next trip.

This was our 2nd stay at The Amaroo Hotel.
We found the rooms pretty basic.
No screens or curtains on the showers, no extra blankets or pillows in the rooms. The AC worked in one room but not the other, the fridge was on it's way out & the double bed we had was horrible (def had it's day (can feel the springs in the mattress).
I doubt i would stay here a 3rd time.
The place could definitely use a touch up & some TLC. The pub itself is fine but the accommodation is very ordinary.

Arrived at 9:00 pm to find that the room was not clean, bed unmade, no sheets towels.
Service was very poor. Told to wait until someone could be contacted, no time give.
Told by the Manager, Luke that "this is what you get for $100 in Dubbo.

Overnight stay, just passing through, for the money the room was satisfactory however it needed some tlc, the bathroom sink tap constantly dripped, lots of dust everywhere, things from previous guests were still in drawers including empty wine bottles, couldn't for the life of me get free to air TV?? Lifts not working, Staff were friendly

I already booked the room and paid for that but whenever I arrive they changed my room and gave me a cheap room. Shame on you and booking.com. The heating system does not work correctly and it was too cold.. Shame on this hotel.

Had a great time here with some work colleagues on a Thursday karakoe night. Helpful staff and good crowd.

Clean rooms, nice atmosphere in the pub and the drinks are cold.

I really like this place, everything well priced and lady behind the bar was excellent, the rooms need work but were priced accordingly. A good pub this.

I was honestly amazed with the meals at this hotel! fantastic deals, prices and value for the food that you get! My family and i have been eating here most nights now, as we can not get better value else where! Will definitely be returning to this hotel next time i am in Dubbo for business! Friendly and wonderful staff as well.....Absolutely amazing!!

I've contacted hotel before I visited, never got response.Hotel is well dated and didn't feel comfortable at all, not really worth spending money.

Simple but big room for a family of 4. Very old but suits for a stopover.

Large multi level hotel with simple, cheap and good accommodation. Bistro has daily specials. Yumm yumm. Spend some time here. There are good people here.

Food is good value and tasty. Staff are friendly and outgoing. Beer is fresh and low prices. 5 starAs for the room, and I mindful hotels have had a hard time with covid-19 sorry... but I feel like I'm in an office, lighting like you expect at the medical centre, lacks atmosphere. Rooms are very clean though and everything is there you need .This stay, Air-conditioning not working... Stuck on summer cycle. Changed rooms, friendly staff arrange that.Can be avoided. I have a Preference to pay more per night & better quality room. 2 star.I can only guess the owners don't stay in the rooms, or visit other hotels to get ideas how it's done. I will try again in the future.
