Went for dinner with the family. Great sized meals that we all enjoyed. The mushroom gravy is amazing!! Parma was excellent too. Inside the bistro was a bit loud so we sat on the new outside deck which was perfect. Staff so friendly. Definitely plan to return.

We ordered see food marinara. It was drowning in oil. And roast pork with vegetables. Corn was off and cold. Pork was dry. Sauce was out of the packet by its taste.
Drinks, Shiraz was sour like vinegar. Muscato was bit sour.
Does owner/s read reviews?

We ordered 2 Parma's which were really soggy on the bottom and inedible. I told the waiter, he took our meals away and he said he would get us another meal but then avoided us for the rest of the night. We did not get another meal or our money back. My mistake was not reading the reviews before we went. We should of gone somewhere else.

Definitely not what it used to be, both the service & the food need improving.
The waiter was not happy when I asked for a change to the dish.
I was lucky to have ordered the Salt & Pepper Calamari, as the Calamari was perfectly cooked. So tender, it was just flavourless. The vegetables all came from frozen. They were very watery and rubbery. I can't believe such a busy Pub would need to use frozen vegetables. My husband ordered the Chicken Parmigiana, which was dry and overcooked; the crumbed batter was deep fried, very dark brown and quite thick. The tomato sauce was also much too sweet.

Thanks so much to the team at Klein's who went out of their way yesterday to help ensure our friend with a debilitating condition was able to enjoy a day out. Your compassion did not go unnoticed and your respectful attention was so appreciated. Thank you

Came past on a drive down the coast and ordered the fish and chips, not a hard order. Came out between 5-10mins. Chips were stone cold, only 3 small pieces of fish and the tomato looked liked it had been from yesterday's left over salad. The side salad was ok otherwise. Staff not overly friendly. 130pm on a Saturday, no wonder no one is in there. Only ordered the fish and chips, a coke and a glass of wine, came to $ 41....what a waste of money. Should of just gone to the local fish and chip shop....

$10 for a schooner of Carlton. Any wonder no one's in the pub. Staff need to do hospitality course. Use to be a good pub

I must say,.off the Sea Road Ferry driving aimlessly down the Great Ocean Road I see a run down weatherboard hotel under construction and thought okay Furn, here it is.

I put on my baggy blue jeans I walk in with fellow bowlers Samual and Dylan. I proceeded to treat myself to a spicy marg, might hold the tobasco but in the presence of the elite - I was not the slightest bit concerned.

Balanced nicely with a icy cold beverage I put on a multi whilst Beveridge coaches for his career.

I pondered, I'm on here and treated my inner child to a frog in pond and relived what once was a staple in my day to day.

I'm a happy man.

Oh, and the egg is safe. Please resume to your regular viewing.

The food came out so quickly, which kept the kids and parents happy!!
Really tasty food.
Friendly staff.
Was a playground but not atm, maybe they're building one again?

Excellent service, the staff are friendly and attentive. The meals were amazing and so quick. I asked for a medium rare steak and it was cooked to perfection. 10/10

$31 for 2 pints

Parmi was pre cooked, was not fully re-heated / luke warm and its crumb was soggy.

Friendly manager and staff. Quite busy but let us know ahead of time. Food was delicious with several vegetarian options...I went with the gyoza very yum. We will definitely come again.

Came for Parma night - pretty average Parma. Had clearly been cooked a while ago and kept warm as it came out in about 5 mins and was a bit soggy / barely warm.

The kids meals were ok but I wouldn't come back for the Parma. Menu was otherwise very limited.

Six of us had lunch today at the Anglesea Hotel. We ordered 6 different meals as chance would have it, every one of them was delicious plus a generous size!
(Burger & chips, Seafood pasta, gnocchi with prawns, salt n' pepper calamari , satay chicken & a chicken parma)
The food attendants & bar staff were super friendly and helpful, really enjoyed visiting this pub for our Easter Sunday Lunch!
Highly recommend a visit here :)

After if blew our minds the hide on the pub owner to charge $3 forra game of pool the kind bar stuff supplied an extra buck. Couldnt fault the parmi was unreal and there was a visable amount of chips to go with it. However was hard to enjoy with a severely intoxicated middle aged women carrying on like a banchee. The salad was appauling was definitely bought from coles out of a bag and thrown together a real toddler sort of effort.
Nice weather so 3 stars

The Staffa re event nice but seemed overwhelmed on a very busy Saturday evening.

I was part of a large group and food took a long time to come out.

Limited vegetarian options, and what options there are can be quite small and quite expensive (the gnocchi).

I had the wedges and they were very nice.

Huge meals. Need to polish up on bar skills re: basic mixers. Lemon lime and bitters was foul and coke was watered down with too much ice. Service was fast and staff were very friendly. Atmosphere/decor and layout felt quite cold and not that comfortable.

Absolutely delicious lunch. I had pork belly and my partner Calamari. We polished off every last piece as they were both so yummy

Had a bad experience!! Ordered the special Pork Ribs let just say not eatable funny taste and smell. Also got the Asian salad with chicken found a bone on chicken.
The lovely young waitress couldn't be more apologetic and refunded the meal for the ribs. I think menu is way over priced sorry will not be visiting again!!

Have been coming here for years and absolutely love the staff and friendly family who really care about us when we come. Despite all the challenges of Covid, they have pushed on and provided an amazing environment for everyone to catch up for a meal and a beer.

Don't understand all these salty complainers who clearly don't have enough money to pay for a meal out. Stop your whining and understand the extreme costs of running a business. You probably bi$ch about the cost of things without any empathy or understanding of how much it takes to keep an establishment afloat especially during a pandemic.

We all love what you do and will support this establishment!

Complete lack of atmosphere. Staff are great, but the place lacks soul or any reason to spend time here. In a small town that relies on tourism, the willingness to embrace this is downright surprising. Move on or out guys!

Pretty average meal for the price tag, chips not hot, pork bites tasty although could be crispy and drained longer from the fryer to save the oil pond on plate.
Older male on the door hardly seemed like he knew what he was doing, took a lot of walking back and forth to decide on what table to seat us on, preharps better notes on your "booking page" would be handy to know whats free and whats not. Table wasn't cleaned properly, although he "cleaned" it to seat us. Paper printed menus were dirty and needed to be thrown out and re-printed. Lady started to clear plates before we were even finished making us feel rushed and needed to go.

Great food and the guy that served us was awesome! Thanks guys!

We visited this place knowing we were taking a chance. It was close to where we were staying and it had some good reviews among the bad ones. The hotel has clearly recently had a makeover and is a grea tsp ace for kids and groups. However, sadly I have to agree with other posts about poor food quality. We ordered two adult meals and two kids meals. The adults meals were "ok". Steak was tasty but calamari was awkwardly hard. Kids meals were very average. The fish and chips had definitely been reheated via deep fryer, despite us being the first people to arrive for dinner. The chicken nuggets were poor quality. The chips over all the meals just felt oily and tasteless. I hope they pick up their game soon because there's so much potential there!
Today. Perhaps a tad above expected Pub prices but we certainly cannot fault the quality of the food, friendly service or overall cleanliness. We had Mussels in white wine both generous in serving size and very , very tasty and seafood marina that did not disappoint.??'?

Food was excellent, service a little slow but in saying that a large group had arrived just before us so the kitchen was flat strap and working their butts off. Beers was cold and wet, food was fantastic.
Would recommend if in the area

Had dinner here on a Wednesday it's parma night. Wife and I both had the Mexican parma $22 with chips, salad and a pot of beer. Can't go wrong and it was awesome. Recommend to give it a go.
