Montrose, Apple Tree Creek QLD

It is well worth the short drive from the Bruce Highway, to be sure! We arrived to a warm welcome. Undercover parking is provided. The cottage is wonderful, home from home. Nothing has been overlooked in this B & B ... they have catered for comfort! Even cake upon arrival for tea. I would love to stay a week, to be able to sit in the garden and read from the library supplied. Being surrounded by beautiful things, gorgeous, peaceful gardens complete with wildlife and calming sounds, is always balm to the soul after a long drive. The breakfast supplied was great. Cereal to each one's liking. Variety of choice in spreads. Fruit. Fruit juice. A choice of coffees and teas. And all that, for the price of a motel sans breakfast! Highly recommended. Jill and Andy, thank you for sharing your property with us weary travellers.

Very peaceful place to relax and enjoy rest, whilst travelling. Service was fantastic, I would strongly recommend .

We needed a place to sleep in for the night in between a long drive from Goldie to Townsville and we randomly saw this property in Google. The owners were kind enough to wait for us and let us in at 10pm. As we drove in, we caught a glimpse of wallabies as the couples were feeding them. The room was lovely, well thought of, clean and cozy. We had a good rest. Unfortunately, we didn't get to stay longer as we still have a long way to go home. We left at 7am and saw a few more wallabies on the driveway. Lovely to see them and def made our day. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We were looking somewhere to stopover to break up our journey south and we wanted somewhere that was nice but not going to require us to sell a kidney. We booked Montrose and could not have been more delighted. To the welcome we received from the hosts Andy and Jill to the quality bedding, furnishings and crockery. The place is quality from top to bottom. We will definitely be stopping here again and we both have our kidneys still in place!

Room was nicely furnished. Very clean. Good quality bedding. Host gave us a warm welcome and invited us to see the wallabies and his two friendly Possums on the property. Great experience would definitely stay here again.
