The food and service here is unmatched! the lovely bar staff with the long blonde hair really made our visit extraordinary, she took care of us and made sure everything was up to standard. she was the only one on shift by the looks of it and she was smashing it!! haven't seen good bar staff like that in a long long time. so thank you lovely young lady with long blonde hair. definitely will be visiting again

The food was absolutely amazing! We came here knowing they are coeliac safe for our daughter. The cauliflower bites, Brussels and chipotle chicken on the starters menu were yum!!! And the brisket is a must have. Definitely our new go to. ?

My visits to The Archer have been a series of delightful discoveries! The cuisine, a culinary symphony that never fails to impress, leaves one's palate in raptures. And the gin selection - oh, a veritable labyrinth of juniper delights, each sip a journey through botanical wonderlands!

The staff, with their warmth and attentiveness, have made each visit a joyous affair, accommodating our every whim with grace and charm. And let us not forget the pice de rsistance - the library upstairs, a sanctuary of elegance and tranquility, where one can lose oneself in a literary reverie amidst such gorgeous surroundings.

I wholeheartedly recommend The Archer, whether for a spirited function or a casual evening of revelry. It is, without a doubt, a gem worthy of one's patronage. Cheers to many more memorable visits!

Ok, I know it's pub grub, but it was a pretty ordinary schnitty on offer last night. Cheap with a beer $22. I suppose you get what you pay for.

I'm not sure what happened to the Archer.
Attended years ago, it was a high quality establishment with a great vibe.
This time, it was terribly disappointing. It's tired and there is a lack of love for the place.
The food was terrible, to the point we couldn't eat it. We returned the plate to the kitchen and told the service staff who offered a soft drink in lieu of our meals. It's not really a satisfactory response on any level.
To top it off, my colleague suffered a bad case of food poisoning.
I think the Archer has a lot of room for improvement. Not worth a visit.

First steak I had here was the most beautiful steak I've had. Today it tasted weird and was served basic steamed veg that could've been frozen tbh. Eggplant sheit is a disappointing size and they have removed creamy garlic sauce from the menu. Table water tasted dusty. Service is slow and uninviting.

Probably won't be coming back or recommending anymore

Half our table got their dishes within about 35mins and the other half waited over an hour. Rump was not a rump but a thin piece of meat. The kids cheeseburger was hard and inedible. Honey soy chicken tasted burned. Meals were brought out without cutlery and we had to ask for it. It was a Saturday night after the footy so I understand it was busy, perhaps on a weekday night it would be alright. Two stars for service because they kept offering us free share dishes but we just wanted our main meals. By the time the dishes came I would have preferred to eat whatever I had in my fridge.

I was in Adelaide on business and wandered in for the $15 Fish and Chips special on a Tuesday night. Best decision ever. Great portion sizes and food cooked perfectly. It was so good I came back for the $15 Chicken Schnitzel special the next night. The schnitzel meal was just as good as the fish and chips. Friendly staff and a wide selection of drinks too. Next time I'm back in Adelaide, this is the first place I'll be heading.

One of the best pubs I've been to so far in Adelaide. Great vibe awesome food and coopers xpa poured from a vat at the bar!! And you can get 1.1litre steins for $17 bargain

Took an hour for two chicken schnitzels, one was overcooked with cold pepper gravy and some raw chips. The me&u tap order and pay system also wasn't working properly resulting in a wild goose chase for drinks. This place is a $hit show. One star for the nice bar staff who were flogging a dead horse.

Two friends and myself ordered pizza from here. After nearly an hour wait the food came out (granted it was busy as it was after a footy game). The pizza was clearly undercooked. The dough hadn't been properly cooked and the cheese had not fully melted. The onion was still raw and the chicken chunks (which were massive) were luke warm. The olives on the pizza literally had no flavour. It tasted terrible. Frozen pizza from woolworths tastes better. Only ended up eating a few pieces. My friends had a similar experience with their pizzas, with both of them clearly undercooked. Really disappointing considering they cost $24 each.

Went to the Archer after the AFL. Very busy and was warned about delay in food before ordering, which was considerate before ordering

This is a alh hotel so the food is fairly standard for pub food, nothing special. Family friendly and happy staff considering how busy they were.

Would recommend if with the family.

Love the old building and the layout inside. We enjoyed sitting in one of the booths admiring paintings on the wall which were for sale. It was a fairly quiet time of the day, not many customers at the time we were there yet it took half an hour for the food to come out after ordering. My husband had to leave for an appointment before the food arrived so I took his food home in a take away tray which ended up going in the bin as it was soggy by the time we got there. I was surprised that when ordering a Caesar salad, I was asked if I wanted to pay extra for chicken which I did not as I have always received chicken with my Caesar salad everywhere else that I've ordered it. The price of a cranberry juice was quite steep too- $6.40 for one glass! The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

The pulled pork burger is amazing, such a great burger. 100% recommend ' Awesome, friendly staff who were up for a chat and a laugh. Great atmosphere! Just an all round good pub for a drink and a meal especially before a footy game. Cheers guys 😊'

I love this place for drinks after work!! Has a good vibe. The menu has lots to choose from and everything I've tried has been pretty good.

However, those booth seats in the dining area are way too squishy for people over a certain weight😅

Pros: extremely friendly staff.

Beef schnitzel: $22 cooked well. Diane sauce seemed lacking a bit of cream
Steak sandwich: $23 delicious & hearty with all the trimmings. Ciabatta was warm which is a plus.
Scotch fillet steak: $35 well seasoned....a little over salted (a touch). Ordered rare but decided blue. Didn't complain as we can stomach it but others may be complaining about it. We prefer underdone than over done, but considering price, chef really should be bang on. Gravy seemed like a jus, tasty but not thick enough to grab onto the steak
Kids cheeseburger: $9 tasty, well portioned but lacking a little salad.

Have been to the archer a few times in the last few months. The food is amazing. The gin selection is huge! Staff have been really friendly and accommodating to our needs. I love the library upstairs it is so gorgeous. Would definitely recommend this pub if you want a function or just a night out.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. Service was quick and friendly. Meals came out without having to wait for too long especially with time limits on car parking in the area. My Pork Belly was delicious. Decent serving size cooked just right. My Wife had the Chicken Parmi was a good size again but she thought it was a bit bland lacking flavour. Keen to try the other things on the menu when we come next time.
