Booked the whisky tasting class for my partner's birthday. We attended the 12:30pm class yesterday with Rob and we both really enjoyed the class. Rob was very knowledgeable and his sense of humour made the class engaging and interesting. We learned so much about whisky in just one sitting, starting from how it's made, the ingredients and equipments used in the distilling process, and terminology. We highly recommend Rob and this whisky class for anyone that is a whisky fan or is interested to learn about the world of whisky. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and discovered which whisky we will definitely purchase - the limited edition Red Gum Whisky is our favourite which we got to test. To top it off, we were each given a 200ml bottle of the single malt whisky to take home. After the class ended, we walked across to the bar and tried another drink from the menu which was unique and lovely. I would like to highlight how friendly and knowledgeable the staff were which made the experience extra delightful! We will definitely visit again because the gin tasting class has also caught our attention :)
A big thanks to Rob and the team!!!

Great to visit an Archie Rose venue after having their gin and RTDs in Melbourne. Friendly staff very passionate about what they do as you'd expect. Beautiful bar, lots of timber and natives suiting the Archie Rose style.

The cocktail I had was delicious, the best part was the laser etched ice! Something different that I haven't seen before so it's something I won't forget.
Fantastic bar to visit.
The whole vibe is spot on, from the decor to the staff, and the amazing quality of drinks!

It's not cheap, but you pay for quality. You can expect each cocktail will be unique, perfectly balanced and presented beautifully!

I also did an Aussie whisky tasting there which was really great. More than just trying some whisky, I got a full history & science lesson as well.

Their venue would be super cool to hire it for an event as well.

Did a gin masterclass and visited the bar afterwards to check out the whiskey offerings. All of the staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. I absolutely recommend every aspect of this place. Definitely worth a visit whether you splurge on an experience or drop by for a tipple at the bar.

Booked in to make my own Gin class and it was great! We were a small group and it went for just over an hour. Great background information on AR and the history behind Gin. Took home 2 small bottles of my own brew and received a $10 discount off any Gin + 12 premixed cans of AR Gin. Definitely recommend if you're keen on Gin and love Archie Rose!

I would just like to thank Mel and the team at Archie Rose! They made custom whiskey bottles as gifts for my husband and his groomsmen for our wedding and they are stunning. Mel was extremely helpful through the entire process and they were delivered so quickly, I could not recommend anyone more for such a perfect personalised gift. They even sent a free little sample and glassware to make the presents that little bit more special! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

We had such a great night. Josie was so great at explaining how to make our drinks and so fun! Couldn't recommend the class more

Had a great time here at the weekend. My mate and I went for the whisky flight which for $50 felt very reasonable. The bartender was super friendly and knowledgeable about each whisky - you could tell he was really enthusiastic about them.

The decoration inside is awesome and the cocktail menu is fantastic. Highly recommended

Highly recommend the tasting and tour. Rob was very friendly and knowledgeable. And enjoyed some very tasty vodka, gin, and whiskey.
Also, had lunch and a cocktail, which I would also recommend. The atmosphere is cozy, drinks are delicious, and food is fresh and delightful. If I lived in Sydney this would be a regular spot.
If you are a whiskey drinker, Archie Rose is a must.

Honest review.
I love Archie Rose. But please don't call it a tour when it's just a room.
Considering it's a spirit tasting. Some snacks would be awesome.
Also some stools or chairs to sit. Standing was a little uncomfortable for me.
The staff was great. Very clear and informative. We could tell he sincerely loved his job and wanted to be there.
Hope this helps.

A low key vibe, would make a cute date spot but also suitable for groups if you book ahead. The cocktails are exceptional and well-balanced in flavour profiles. Whilst Archie rose are famous for their gin (you can order gin flights for a sample of their best), they have plenty of other options such as locally brewed beers and other spirits. The charcuterie boards are also great to graze on while you relax with a drink or two.

Such a cool bar for a few cocktails right in the heart of Rosebery! Bar tenders are excellent! We didn't get any food but it looked good! Best to book a table in advance as it's always busy!
The bar has a really cool vibe, service is great and the drinks are really good. Tried their rye whiskey, beautiful and smooth. Also their cocktails are really yummy, 'grow a pear' was amazing, a lot of depth to it. You can see a lot of effort has gone into the place and drinks.

A trendy, industrial style (converted old cannery factory) open spaced venue that is no longer the actual distillery but more a bar, functions and 'experiences' site. It was very busy in the bar area when I visited for a gin 'dabbling with individually distilled botanicals and blending with a ready made gin' (not make your own gin) experience. There was also a 'make your own Christmas wreath) party happening, which sounded fun. Our host for the evening guided me to the mezzanine level above the bar and was welcoming and pleasant. Each guest had a gin and tonic upon arrival and we could order food to have during the experience. Sparkling and still water was provided on each table.

Started off impressive staff were prompt and sitting areas welcoming...

I asked waitress specifically if all cocktails on List were $15 Tuesday specials, waitress told us 'YES ALL COCKTAILS ARE $15 TONIGHT' so we ordered generously..

Upon exit and payment at end of evening we were told waitress had made a mistake and that the cocktails we ordered were $22 each not $15 as waitress had stated

I told waitress that she should honour the price she told us upon arrival but she said she could not as she was not the manager.

This turned our experience to disappointing based on morals: If someone states a price, it should not be altered at the end of the night.

We were respectful to waitress and paid our dues but this left a very bittersweet experience in our mouth, I am actually gobsmacked to be honest as it seemed like a genuine establishment not one that we thought we would get ripped off at so if you intend to dine here, may I suggest that you check your bill at end of evening !!!

Fantastic Japanese whiskey tasting, it was great to try some nice whiskey with abit of a distillery knowledge and a history lesson built on over the course of an hour or so.

Food was also amazing and accompanied the whiskey very nicely. The host also did a fantastic job in getting us engaged and made the content interesting and fun. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

The adjacent bar also serves some killer beverages also good to wind down after the tasting.

Gin blending class was average, expensive for the experience. 1 glass of G&T included on arrival. Friendly staff who gave a brief history lesson and then they explained the different drops you can put in to "blend" your own gin. Wish there was more to learn and see at the site but they make the gin elsewhere. Felt like I was back in high school science class where they let you go off and just play around with your drinks so it's a bit overpriced for the experience you get.

Attended a Gin Session at Archie Rose ? and it was bloody great. Hosted by the extremely knowledgeable Ben, the 90 min session was informative and fun. We got to try 3 gins - the Signature gin and 2 Limited editions. Paired with fancy tonics and garnishes. Learnt all about gin, and tonic, their origins and history. A great price too, not expensive considering 3 full size gins. Highly recommend and make sure you get Ben - he really made it memorable and is passionate about his gins!

Every gin cocktail recommended was unique and delicious. Attentive waiters with a good sense of humour. I think the snacking menu could do with a bit of an upgrade (its limited) but was delicious all the same. We will be back.

My partner and I did a distillery tour here recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. We ended up buying three bottles of gin to add to our collection of Archie Rose bottles at home.

It was such a great tour, so full of information and great humour..the staff are amazing. I would definitely recommend them. Oh not to forget the gin & whisky was really good..we brought some very happy😁😁
First time trying Archie rose gin cocktails from the distillery, and the taste was perfect, citrus, smooth, and not a strong flavor. Small bites were perfect. I'll definitely return soon. I love the ambiance and everything.

Create your own gin class was fun and informative and it can be quite creative after a few G&T's. The bar is very stylishly industrial with a welcoming vibe. The background music is not too loud and staff is very friendly. Small plates are excellent. Cocktails are divine. Definitely a place to visit with friends. Cheers!
