Had a meal here on a Saturday night at the bar a few weeks ago. Wasn't impressed with the service at all wasn't given a number sat at the bar for an hour to receive 6 oysters 3 were good the other 3 were swimming in some liquid, I believe I was forgotten about. Another half an hour later I received the crab pasta I ordered at the same time as the oysters, the pasta seemed to be microwaved I believe it sat in the kitchen for quite sometime then reheated, should've just taken it home for my dog but I was hungry pity this was the only place to have a meal otherwise it would've been returned. I ordered a grant berg sav blanc to have with the pasta I was served a grant berg Pinot. Young female bar staff didn't seem to know alot about the wines. I was charged around $60 for this meal the service and food quality did not match the price. An hour and a half and poor quality service and food is not good enough for what they charge. Won't buy a meal here again.

Pub meals were absolutely superb some of the best food we have eaten in the past at hotels.. anyone who says these meals are small are having themselves on!! over the 10-day stay at Ardrossan I had three meals, the surf and turf ,rump w garlic prawns and the two flathead fillets that I needed a doggy bag for fish brekky the following morning . Staff were efficient and courteous no wonder it has such a great reputation ..

Looked like a cool old pub.
Went in the front bar and the girl completely ignored my hello. She then stood talking to locals for a few minutes as I waited. Then a guy came in from out the back and walked straight past me to serve someone else. They both looked at me a few times and then did other things until finally I asked the guy if I could get some service when he's ready. He came over and I asked for a bottle of absolute vodka. He said he's never heard of it and I should go to the bottle shop over the road. He then instantly turned around and walked off. Unfriendliest bar staff I've come across in ages.

Really poor food, very overpriced.. schnitzel was very small and paid over $30.
Schnitzel looked like it was a 1/2 serve
Waiting staff are excellent, when complained about the meal, manager nowhere to be seen.
Was offered a free round of drinks as compensation.
Was told they ran out of schnitzels
Not good enough, they need to lift their game.
Messaged a complaint through messenger, only replied with a thumbs up emoji. Very arrogant response,
You would be better off travelling to the Yorke Valley Hotel, at least you get a consistent decent feed there.

A great place for a good pub meal. Reasonably good space and atmosphere. Well priced for serving size. Meals were quite tasty. Bonus is the all you can eat salad and veggie bar that comes with every main meal, very rare at your local pub nowadays. Service was excellent, staff were accommodating.

Great meal ,the staff were very friendly and the service was great, we had a table of 12 and staff looked after all of us without problem ,

Initially appearing an old property, once time spent in the room it soon became obvious that there is good care taken on cleanliness.
While rooms are old fashioned, mine was very clean, the bed was very comfortable with clean, well fitted sheets & good blankets. Heating works fine. Creaky floor boards add to the character, or, detract from the quality - depending how fussy you are.
I didn't expect 5 stars with concierge services in a small country town, didn't come here for that!
Compact quality units that fit the heritage of Ardrossan well!

Went for a day drive to Ardrossan. At evening meal time decided to go to the Ardrossan pub for a meal . Ladies were of good cheer. Meals five star. Made the days end fabulous. Would recommend them to anybody.

Pub: decent, average Australian pub. OK food, limited selection of beers but a decent wine list. Very dated and crowded front bar.

Rooms: nicely sized for what they are, very clean, all basic amenities. Could use a microwave oven.

Overall a pleasant experience.

Came here for two lunches over two days, one to celebrate family members 90th. Meals were DELICIOUS, best pub meals my family and I have had in a very long time. Very highly recommend

Had 2 meals here while I was over here working. Good sized Beef Snitto and steak was cooked pretty well. Portion size was a tad small, few more chips would have done the trick. And you definitely need to add a dinner roll with the meal, just tops off the meal being able to wipe up the gravy.

We've only been in Ardrossan for 24 hours, but have already had lunch here twice, because of the exceptional food and service. Cannot fault the delicious food and generous servings and the staff and professional, prompt and friendly. The bonus for us is the dog-friendly tables undercover out the front, as we're travelling with our pooch. A lovely little town with a fabulous pub is a great asset. We look forward to more meals before we leave ?

Great pub. Accommodation was good. Food in the pub was delicious, had Tuscan Prawns & Garlic Bread, it was so yummy. Dessert was Pecan Pie also yummy. Great service by all staff, Jenna was great, excellent customer service. We will definitely come back. ??'????'?

Popped in for lunch whilst in the area, nice friendly people. Lovely food.

The staff and service were exceptional. A great meal was had by all of us. Pleased to say we will definitely be back again.

Me and hubby have Stayed numerous times $110 per night, bargain,,lovely pub ,all staff really friendly, only little winge was our bed was only made once in the three nights, same towels were hung over shower rail, cups weren't replaced, or washed, only small things,but we will definitely be back

I really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere In this hotel the service was great and the food was really good. I'm preety sure is was the owner who served us,not sure, but she was lovely. She was short,with blonde hair and wore glasses,her personality was awesome.

Rooms are simple but extremely clean, showers are amazing! Fantastic location and the staff were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble, even a late check in was accommodated!

Six of us had lunch in the dining room today, everyone happy with their generous sized meals, except me, I ordered a lamb yiros that was cold when it reached the table, with tasty fries on the side. Waitress said she would sort it out. Returned minutes later with my meal that had been reheated in the microwave. Tasty chips now too hot and no longer crispy, salad on the yiros (cucumber, tomato, lettuce) warm and limp, and the wrap all soggy. Disappointing effort.

One of two pubs in Ardrossan and this is apparently the better one although we didn't go to the other one which didn't look very inviting anyway. There for a Saturday night tea. We had the chicken tortillas and the rump steak. Both of which were very nice. Great friendly service and just a nice country pub. 4.5 stars

Excellent motel which is part of the pub. It's not flash but is right in town which is very convenient. It is clean and comfortable at a reasonable rate. Good size bathroom.

The food was so fresh and delicious and the staff were all lovely and happy to assist! We will definitely be back.

For a little country pub this place was great. The food was great, with stuff on the menu you don't get at larger hotels, and the service was excellent.
