I'm fortunate to visit some incredible restaurants around the world - Bar Midland is up there with 1-2 * Michelin. Not only is the food focused and special, the wine is thoughtful and considered. But best of all is the service - genuine, authentic and leaves you feeling you are really important to them. Thank you team for a wonderful experience.

An intimate dinner at Bar Midland in Castlemaine. Art Deco interior, impeccable attention to detail, warm hospitality and a gastronomic feast to remember .... and book a return visit to!

Organic, bio-dynamic and regenerative food products sourced from Victoria, incorporating Indigenous ingredients.

We have returned twice since this post and were totally blown away by the experience!

We adored this experience- beautiful quality, locally sourced produce made into an exquisite 7 course meal. Couldn't fault service and the ambiance is unbelievable- the small restaurant is situated in the art deco Midland Hotel, which is quirky as hell!

Well priced ($125pp for 7 courses) for attentive service and a lovingly prepared meal. We will return!

Exceptional experience. Food is locally sourced from all over Victoria. Delicate tasting courses fully explained by the very knowledgeable staff. Highly recommended.

Despite an issue with our booking the staff managed to fit us in. The food was absolutely gorgeous and the matching drinks were outstanding.

Bar Midland is open Friday from 5:30 PM to 11 PM. They are also open Saturday from noon to 11 PM. On Sunday they're open from noon to 4:30 PM.
