Super cute venue and friendly staff. I was here for a fund-raising event in their downstairs area. Great space and would definitely stop by again. Good spot for a drink if you're seeing a show in the area.

The general vibe seemed nice so we stopped in for a drink and went downstairs to enjoy the live music, however the downstairs vibes were uncomfortable and creepy. A group of men took a photo of a woman at the bar and refused to delete it from their phones. When she confronted them and asked them to delete the photo random people in the crowd told her to stop as she was interrupting the music, and the musician also told her to stop. Extremely inappropriate and a staff member should have been involved to rectify the issue. Perhaps the musician, having already involved himself, should have taken responsibility to call for a staff member rather than give the impression he was taking sides. We left as we were feeling really uncomfortable and unsafe and didnt end up ordering anything. A staff member stationed downstairs would be a good improvement, or ensuring musicians playing downstairs are equipped to deal with situations like this.

Gorgeous cosy wine (and drinks) bar in a cool city laneway. We popped in before our comedy show and really enjoyed the laidback and stylish atmosphere (cool music!). Definitely worth a visit when you are around town.

At 3:43pm this Friday I remembered a recent experience I had at Bard's Apothecary just the other Monday when I attended a comedy night.

I really love the atmosphere of the venue, very relaxed lounge basement area downstairs, along with nice drinks and friendly service! Yeah I'd definitely come down to Bard's Apothecary again, for sure
