Barwon Heads Hotel

It's a lovely place to go visit, lunch was lovely, we had the choice of eating indoors or outdoors, I chose in as it was a very heated day.

Service was good, the food was nice, even the option to take home what you couldn't eat.

Only a hop, skip, and jump to the beach area to burn off a feed lol

Only down full is that the price is just a bit out of the pockets.
But I guess that's the whole area.

Dinner with family on Saturday night. It was insanely busy and the staff were working over time. Live music, good food and great atmosphere. We had an issue when ordering and the manager sorted it out and organised a refund. Very helpful and appreciated the professionalism

we went to dine at this restaurant for a lunch and and one of my friends ordered the cheeseburger and chips main meal, on the way home he was throwing up and feeling super nauseous. Let alone, I was served by a young stuck up bloke behind the bar that had absolutely no manners, I ordered a drink and after receiving it I had wanted to make another order for another two and he says to me "would've been nice if you had told me earlier". Very poor mannered staff and definitely would not recommend getting that burger 🤮

Unfortunately we did not have a positive experience at Barwon Heads Hotel today. One of our meals was forgotten, to which no accountability was taken by staff, nor any rush or urgency to rectify the issue. No effort was made to have an alternate dish delivered in the meantime while they tried to work out their mistake. By the time we followed up and the staff admitted they forgot the dish, the rest of the table had finished their meals and while a refund was provided for only the dish forgotten, there was a lacklustre apology from staff. While the other dishes were nice, one member of our group was left hungry, and we were disappointed of our experience here.

We had lunch at the hotel on Sunday and it was mostly enjoyable. The main meals were good except for the coleslaw which tasted as if they forgot the dressing, it was dry and hard to swallow. The chicken schnitzel and parmigiana were thick and so soft and juicy breast chicken. The sticky date was disappointing, a square 50mm x 50mm with a little syrup and cream for $14.50 was a little rich I thought.
