Food was nice - but the me&u ordering system was very impersonal, meals arrived while we were still eating our entree, no dessert menu and drinks arrived but no glasses to drink them from, all in all a very B grade experience, we like interacting with the staff... and the salt and pepper were in the wrong dispensers - salt in the 1 hole, pepper in the 3 hole, knife and forks in buckets all open to contamination by other patrons...

We came here again and again. The food is so nice and tasty. The service is good as well. Perfect place to eat with friends and family. We always love their roast of the day, pharma,garlic bread, steak, and bbq ribs.

Caught up with an old friend so was expecting a little more from the overall experience. The food was good quality and pretty tasty, but the portion size was disguised with a lot of chips in comparison to the actual fish size. For a pub, I wasn't expecting such high prices for the meals. The facilities are very clean and the parking is abundant. I'm not a gambler so never love the pokies environment, but they've done a pretty good job of separating it from the bistro (I didn't go into the sports bar) and have big signs outlining kids aren't permitted. The beer garden looks pretty good too. Would I go back? If they made the meals a reasonable cost, sure..

I started by giving you 3 stars, but I had to drop it to 1 star, and if google allowed -ve scoring, I would have gladly done it.

Steak was very badly cooked and tasted like a piece of rubber.

Customer service leaves very little to be desired. A simple request such as asking for a glass of water and the waitress tells me I had to go and get it for myself.

? how disrespectful... I thought that simple etiquette for eating at a restaurant is to get table service.

Just had Christmas lunch and I couldn't be more impressed.

I recently visited the Bayswater Hotel and I was very impressed. The pork ribs were cooked to perfection and were incredibly tasty. The atmosphere was great and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The public bar and sports bar were great places to hang out with friends and watch the footy. There was even a play area for the kids to enjoy. Overall, I had a great time at the Bayswater Hotel and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good place to hang out with friends and family.

I have come here a couple of times, the food is always amazing and comes out quickly. The service is normally really great but tonight it wasn't the best. We were a table of 10 and got kicked out at 8:30pm as the waitress said that they were closing. I understand that it's a weekday and places don't stay open late but 8:30pm is extremely early to be closing. Plus one of the people on our table had only just finished their dinner and then was asked to leave. I really like this place and perhaps it was just a bad night but I didn't appreciate it.

A group of 8 of us had lunch here once monthly for the last three months and have enjoyed the experience. The staff have always been friendly, helpful and efficient. The menu and food and menu has been excellent and the meals have been served in good time. I would recommend the Bayswater as a good place to get together.

This evening was the last meal we will ever have here.
Let me say I know how businesses work hard to gain a good reputation and I am reluctant to do this review however after a most negative phone call with the "manager" who answered with "hello" and no further introduction I feel a negative review is well earned.
Nine of us booked in and at no time were we advised they were busy nor were we forewarned of delays.
Meals were presented at random intervals and most had finished eating before my wife asked about our meals. My wife was offered her money back but I mistakenly said we will have them. My meal was a beef curry that was cold and my wife was beyond being hungry and could not eat her meal.
Upon arriving home I rang and asked to speak to the manager who gave me every excuse, lack of chefs, over booked, although they did take our late booking...
I attempted to explain to the manager that the venue's staffing issues were theirs to deal with and that we had placed an order, money had been accepted and therefore it was reasonable for us to expect a timely service and acceptable food. Both were in my view a gig fail!
To add insult the manager was clearly not interested in customer service and was anything but conciliatory in our discussion hence my review.
At least monthly I book a group of Vietnam veterans and their partners to the Bayswater Hotel but never again.

Loved the pub but their ribs were served somewhat cold and tasted a bit bland. Wouldn't advise anyone to try the ribs meal. Maybe it was just a one off but I definitely would not order them again.

Went here for a catch up with friends as we have young children. Their play space is amazing. In the almost 3 hours we were there not once did we here I'm bored. Meals were great and wasn't crazy busy.

Wow ppls, you have to try the public bar counter meals it's a must try..! What great value and for $20 I got a meal that filled me up and it was that big I couldn't finish it.. so yummy. Thank you to the bar staff and Peter the public bar manager for the best beer tap in the south East of Melbourne..!

Went here with about 20 people of which two were seniors.two babies and a toddler. The staff were amazing and accommodating. They made the meal a pleasure because of there attentive service and generally very good skills. To top it off the food was excellent,as was the seniors meals and the toddlers meal. This place gets a highly recommended on my experience

Returned here after approx 4 years. Much improved. Quick service, steak perfectly cooked, food piping hot all ordered from our phones at the table. Clean and cosy venue. Evident covid strategies in place. Calamari entree & sticky date pudding were both amazing.

Great place for a meal. Service was fast. Meal was very nice. Had a seniors roast, which was beef. A good selection of vegetables. Would thoroughly recommend.

Went here yesterday for lunch. It is a nice, tidy place that isnt too noisy.I recommend the open steak sandwich. It is a very big meal, so if you do get the steak sandwich, I would advice not getting any entrees.

Food was good, after we needed to correct our order three times. Ordering was difficult with the waitress not listening enough to get the order correct, then bringing out the incorrect meals twice. We walked in after calling to book an availability 5 minutes earlier to find it hadnt been communicated and nothing was available without issues.

I have been coming here for the occasional birthday, family reunion lunch for so many years. Over the years I have seen the obvious changes in menu but the atmosphere and vibe has never changed which I love. Staff are lovely, accomodating and quick to clear plates. But the food recently has been very disappointing. Just came here for my dads birthday lunch. He ordered the seafood platter for $26 and when it came we were surprised by the lack of food. We expected the plate full. Also the calamari was rubbery! I had the beef burger and it was covered in mustard and the patty had a strange taste to it. The cheesy garlic bread was so sickly. Wont be going back for awhile.

I went there with my Dad for Lunch this afternoon and I had a serve of Calamari and a bowl of Chips with a Raspberry Lemonade. My Dad had a skinny cappuccino. It was extremely nice of them to give it all to me for $7 as a once off only since I couldn't go to Nikos Greek Tavern since they were closed over the New Year.
