One could scarcely conceive of a more delightful and epicurean way to spend a winter's Tuesday night in this fair city of Geelong. A crackling fire illuminated the hearth and warmed the tootsies, casting a warm glow upon seductive velvet chairs. Exquisite floral arrangements, complemented by regal poultry art, adorned the space. And then there was the pork belly - a most succulent porcine masterpiece that surpassed any other this sode of the hemisphere. In all regards, a perfect evening for a lonesome rambling man.

Wonderful experience at the Belmont Hotel! Food is always great and comes out quite fast! Very comfortable seating and has a lovely area to dine in! I would definitely recommend to everyone, and I'll definitely come here again!

I would also really like to appreciate the young gentleman who waited us the majority of the evening! He was very kind and patient with our table and always has a smile! He had darker hair, longer at the back and I believe a dragon tattoo? It'd be great to know his name as I can be more specific and show a great appreciation for his lovely service!

We frequent the Belmont Hotel regularly as it's local for us. There are many different meals to choose from on the menu including gluten-free options. I've tried a variety of plates and they've all been really delicious, some of my favourites are the Pork Belly, Salmon, Chicken Schnitzel, Thai Beef Salad and the Gnocchi. Once you've ordered, the food doesn't take too long to come out, even when it's busy, so no long waits. Prices are also reasonable. Staff are pleasant, friendly and efficient, although a couple of the young ones need to have more eye contact with customers and the room as it can sometimes be troublesome getting their attention, otherwise all good. Atmosphere is very enjoyable and relaxing, but can be extremely loud when busy, making it hard to hear each other talk. All up great place and we will continue to eat there. PS: love the velvet chairs, so comfy.
Unfortunately they don't open on Mondays anymore, Monday was Parmi night.

Chicken Involtini was bland. We both had to add fair bit of seasoning to get any flavour $35
Nutella cheesecake overwhelmingly delicious and presented beautifully. Large portion and good value for $12.
Had to send Soda lime and bitters back to the bar as there was only soda and bitters in the glass. Was extremely small soft drink for $5.
Latté was as expected $5.

Food delivered quickly for such a packed restaurant.

Absolutely terrible acoustics in the restaurant. Couldn't hear yourself think. Couldn't hear the waitstaff. Place was packed on a Friday night. Not advisable for an intimate dinner. Maybe go upstairs.

Blonde female drinks staff was very kind and helpful. As was the very tall female waitstaff.

This is a beautiful old art deco building. It still retains a lot of those features particularly the staircase, chandelier and wall design. The rooftop area is really good; nice views of Geelong and great in warm weather. Sundays are good as they have live music and $10 pints and cocktails.

Great place, great food, atmosphere is as good as a pub gets, staff and service better than most restaurants.
Loved it and will make it a regular dinner or weekend lunch spot.
Cleanliness was better than most pubs.

Food was tasty. Fast service on a busy sunday for fathers day.

Really enjoyed my meal at the Belmont Hotel. Food was delicious, mid tier for pricing. Atmosphere was great and the service was adequate. Can't really complain at all, would recommend.

Great little venue, they were booked out when we went, but were able to accommodate us in the bar area, which was really nice. The stuff there was fantastic and very friendly. I would recommend booking in advance if you can.

Where do i start for this place is, 2 people, not to hard to cook for on a raining sunday lunch. ordered a calamari for entree which is to share. First, it was like it was cooked in a cold deep fryer, full of oil and not crispy at all. Second, the portion size for $16.50, what a joke. Picture below. Then ordered main which was parmigiana with veg and mash, steak with chips and salad. They could even put the chips and salad on the right plate. Very disappointed. Never go back.

Great staff, fantastic service. VERY over cooked "rare" lamb rump, almost inedible. Pistachio crust... where?
First time back since the manager denied food poisoning was from the venue when friend who dined on a different table came down with exact symptoms, exact same time, and we hadn't even spoken.
Luckily they're good at hiring people who are mostly good at their jobs. Could be a great venue.

Had the worst experience at this place. Booked for tea to celebrate a milestone birthday, they put us on the rooftop which was extremely noisy and loud. Couldn't hear anyone speak. We were meant to be in the bistro. When we went to speak to the Manager, she was very unhelpful, rude and pretty much told us, even if I was "God, I can't fit you in tonight" . Then she went on to say are you here just for drinks or do you want to eat? We made this booking over 6 weeks ago, if they were supposed to be booked out, why take on more bookings. We had to move our party of 15 elsewhere. Will never visit this place again. Extremely disappointed

I ordered the roasted chicken breast filled with sundried tomatoes and brie served with pusito and potato salad. If i knew what it actually was i would not have ordered it. Bland, dry chicken, no brie, and a horrible lemon taste. The size is very small and is definately not roasted. Will not return as the meal was falsely describe. Very disappointed. Not just with food but the alcohol available was limited. And servely overpriced.

I really enjoyed my meal here,I've never been before.
On enter I was greeted by staff and shown my table,was given top service nice and casual at atmosphere.
The meal was huge so I didn't need tea I had a coffee was very tasty.
The only issue I had was being sat next to a large lunch group I don't think I needed to know there personal gossip but if I had of asked im sure I would have been moved.
Ill be going back here for sure.

Shifted things around quickly to fit 6 of us without a booking last minute on a Saturday. Got a mix of mains including burgers, steak sandwich and chicken breast. Food was delicious, well portioned and came out quickly. Can't fault it.

Visited and asked if my friend and I could order food. Was given the response of food not being available until 5pm even though it was close to that time and we could have been offered other options to wait until the food was being made. Came back later and ordered drinks. We were strongly urged to go to the rooftop in both visits. Drinks were not as good. Sat down in the dining area to be then told we were not allowed to sit there. As well as another group sitting with drinks at the other table. My friend and I made our way to the rooftop. Female toilets were locked upstairs. Felt like a 'boys club' and unwelcoming. I was shocked by the terrible customer service. I do not recommend this place and are letting my friends and family know of my experiences.

Nice meals and drinks, very comfortable seating, and excellent lower lighting set a relaxed mood.
Could have a couple of wine bottles on the lower price end to choose from. Well staffed and attentive service.

Did not book for the two of us but were shown to a table right away even though it was very busy. All the Staff were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble meal was great. Felt we were treated as special all through our time there. As was everyone else there. Will go back again when we are in the area.

Love the roof top, the staff were very helpful to sort out the problem when our seats were taken by other guests. The steak was nice and the kids menu as well. Little bit disappointed with the Beef Thai Salad where I think it's just a bunch of veggies finished off with sesame dressing.
