Waited an hour for meals.

I ordered the porterhouse steak, medium-rare. It came to the table well done and cold.
Other adults at the table complained that the vegetables they paid extra for were so under-cooked they were inedible.

The last time we were here (about 8 months ago), the meals were great value (prices have increased significantly since then), fresh and well cooked.
It has changed for the worse, unfortunately.

Great bar, very friendly Nick the publican is quick with the cold beers. Good kitchen as well

Hadn't been here for a very long time. The food was rather good and the staff super friendly. Dining area probably needs a freshen up.

The food is honestly amazing here! Been here twice now, first time I got the beef ragu and that was really nice and the second time I got the prawn and chilli pasta with lemon and omg! I'm obsessed with it and will definitely make this a regular out for dinner pub?

Beautiful local pub with quality tasty food served. They have a large range of wine and beer and service here is friendly. Atmosphere is warm with a fireplace and carpet too.

We received honest and helpful recommendation of the menu, with support and knowledge on gluten free options. Staff were very knowledgeable on coeliacs and nothing was too difficult. Great conversation on other matters too.
When starters arrived, I literally died and went to heaven. Gluten free popcorn chicken blew my mind. Crispy coating, succulent chicken and seasoned to perfection.
Mains were delicious tasty and fresh, my steak cooked to perfection. Medium, juicy and tender.
My friends had a jackfruit and pineapple pizza and a Mediterranean pizza gf, kimchi pasta and all raved about taste, temp and service.
What a delicious and delightful evening to remember. Thanks for having us... I will be back.

Great food and service, loved it. We had the cheesy garlic bread, onion rings and some wine.

Staff were super lovely. Sadly, the beef hamburger & chips were overcooked. Very disappointing. Only ate half. Lasagne was lovely.

We went to the Belmont Hotel on Thursday Nite with Friends. Haven't been there for a very long time. Very Impressed with new decor and styling. We were met by Alex on arrival and taken to our table. Food, service and atmosphere were first rate. Mal behind the bar was very professional and courteous. I would recommend the Belmont as a great place for small parties and celebrations.

Just had a great meal with couple mates. Great salt and pepper squid. Great medium steak. Good young polite staff.

This evening my husband and I enjoyed one of the best pub meals anywhere. I had the Parmigiana and he the beef and bacon ragout.
Apart from the delightful staff the meals were delivered promptly. When again here we will certainly return.

It seemed a little dark to begin with due to the colour palette but the friendly staff brightened it. The meals were above pub average with the kids meals, especially the sundae a winner.

Great little local pub. Super friendly and helpful staff. Good food! The steak was cooked perfectly and had that delicious chargrilled character you expect of a good pub. Chicken burger was juicy, though a little salty. Location is a little quieter off the Main Street, which is what we were looking for.

Sometimes it's hard to find a good steak, tonight I had a great one at the Belmont Hotel, 17 Skene St, Bendigo, cooked just as I had asked for. While we waited for our meals to be cooked, our attention was drawn to the front of house team led by Sal (Sally). It was like choreographed poetry in motion the way the team promptly, seated, served, and took orders from all of the customers in turn. I thought they did a fantastic job. I was so captivated by all of this fantastic service I had to speak to Sal and let her know how impressed we were. The steak was fantastic too. Great Job!

Nick & Jamie are the hosts you can't buy. Plus Steph in the kitchen! Its a warm welcome every... single... time.

As soon as I walked through the door of this pub I was warmly greeted by the proprietor's wife.

Service was above and beyond what you may expect to receive.

Staff were professional yet friendly.

The tap beer that I had was nice and ice cold.

The food was first rate with my Porterhouse cooked to perfection and how I ordered it. So often I've ordered a steak when out and it's over cooked!

The place has a very friendly feeling you are made very welcome.This venue follows the covid rules fantastic. They great support local charity groups. The meals are amazing. This is a place you must visit. I be going back and telling others ???
