The publican is very friendly and welcoming. We stayed out the back in our caravan, as it is also a camping pub. Our meals were lovely pub meals and the beers were cold. It is a charming period pub.

Camped at the back for one night with the camper trailer and family. We were touring around SA and wanted to take in the sights of Burra. For the cost of a meal, we were able to stay here for free and use their bathroom facilities which were clean and tidy. The food was lovely and the beverages were nice and cold.

There was one other camping at the back while we were there. Lots of space so didn't feel we didn't have privacy. We also saw some kangaroos from our camper trailer and they do roam around here according to the staff in the hotel. Honestly, this is a perfect place to stay!

Great place to stay in a caravan, particularly if you have a drink at the bar and chat to the barman and others there. Didn't eat there, but probably should have done.

But disappointed we aren't able to stay and eat here again after a change in policy regarding dogs. I respect to owners right to make policy, but annoyed that fellow travelers would allow their dogs to roam destroying it for others!

We loved this place so much that we came for 1 night and stayed 3. We were very fortunate to arrive on the day of the Burra Show and got to see the wonderful fireworks. Bon Accord is a great place. Good food and terrific selection of wines, particularly with recommendations from Tim the owner. Tim has worked in the wine / hospitality business for years and know his stuff. He is also interesting on the history of Burra. Thanks to Sarah the food is great, veggies are not overcooked and a variety served. Tim doesn't suffer fools and can be direct, but I prefer that!

Superb meal in one of the smaller dining rooms. Essentially private dining in a wonderfully cosy and comfortable heritage environment. Top quality wines. Patrons of hotel can have choice of powered or unpowered camping sites out the back. We chose powered site for $35 which included access to newly-installed toilet and shower unit. Thoroughly delightful interlude at very reasonable rates. Owner and his wife warm and jovial hosts.

Always brilliant meals and some top shelf booze. Friendly service and beautiful hotel. The only place where I bother to eat the side salad.

Great pub food in an old world charm, safe and friendly environment. Also, a great place to camp out back (free unpowered if purchasing $20 or more). Highly recommended to all.

Stayed overnight in van. Unpowered site. Best option would be get powered site for $30 and have your own drinks and food in van as pub meals are small and over priced and the drinks prices were dearest we've experienced while travelling.

Authentic olde world pub on the outskirts of the historically significant township of Burra. Good food served by very friendly staff. A true window into the rural Australian past, not to be missed.

Came across this place by chance. Had lunch and didn't go hungry. Tim the publican was very hospitable and was very good to talk to. Very interesting pub and would recommend.

Under renovation. Small camping area out the back and are currently not serving meals so we didn't stay.
Reply. Lady in green top and jean shorts came out and advised you are not doing lunches. Pointless going in if you are not offering meals. So my experience is as above. 3 stars.
Non powered sites are not maintained which you can live with being free (if you spend money inside). Powered sites are not worth the $25 reported online.

So much atmosphere inside and very good outside. Looks like works are happening. We had a very nice meal of fish and chips. A few drinks too. Great pub, a little dark. But that would be great on a cold night by the fire with a red wine.?

Ate here last night. Friendly publican. Not a big menu but we all found something we liked. Food was really good, large serves. Nice dining room with a pianola and amazing range of music. We all ended up having a sing-along, even the other patrons joined in. Had a fantastic night even though none of us can sing, so much fun. Thanks Bon Accord, we didn't expect so much fun when we called in for a meal.

Nooks and Crannies are filled with articles of beer, wines and spirits memorabilia, whilst the hotel stashes treasures throughout from era long ago.
Our host, Tim, was a genuine friend to us, while being a well minded local publican!
Good fare by the cook and some unique pours of vinos, spirits and beers.
Look forward to having a stop again soon, thank you for bringing to life a landmark from years previous to mine.
Pressman Shiraz 19' from the hills, a good mid bodied red for spring.

Have stayed here in a powered campsite for 3 days. $25 per night. Great bargain, dogs on lead permitted. More space per site than the caravan park.
A little road noise but nothing we couldn't sleep through, though we were in a camper trailer so vans probably wouldn't hear much.
Tim and Sarah are fantastic hosts with so much knowledge of the rich history. The pub is amazing to learn about.

Good meals and quality service. A beautiful old building worth enjoying for yourself. And a good place to get you out of the rain like we had to. Appreciate the kindness of staff.

Second time here, host Tim is a very interesting person, makes you most welcome, camped out the back, few cold ones, a great feed, he even gave the 4 of use a private dinning room with a fire, a must to stop over at

Turned up here on a night when there was a festival in town so VERY quiet.
But staff were very friendly and helpful and made you feel very welcome.
Food was okay but really just basic pub fare, nothing special.
Menu was very limited.
But generally a nice atmosphere and pleasant experience.

We stopped at Burra late December and had dinner here on our way through. The managers may be new to the pub but their experience showed - wonderful service and the best pub meal we've had in a long time. I had the fish and the batter was so light and crisp with a fresh salad. Hubby had a parma with a homemade sauce that was full of flavour. Hoping to stop by again on our way home.

Brilliant night, Tim is a great entertainer, lots of fun around the pianola, plenty of local knowledge. Highly recommend that anyone calls in for an evening or night. Free camping out the back is great with good amenities. Good hones pub food.
