Loved this pub - we had a great dinner - the market fish was excellent - perfectly cooked, with a delicious sauce. The roast beef was tender and the roast vegetables also crispy, fresh & tasty. There are two fires in the Bar - wood and gas - & the service is prompt & attentive ...and all this in the Public Bar!

I'm giving 3 stars because I've usually had great experiences here, but last night was disappointing. The lady in charge of the bistro was very rude. Her body language showed clear disdain towards our large group, who arrived at 5pm for an early dinner with the kids. She didn't smile, rolled her eyes openly when we approached the bar for more drinks, and even cut me off while walking through the bistro at one point. Her attitude was really unpleasant and turned what should have been an enjoyable dinner into an evening where we felt like we were a burden. It's such a shame.

Loved this pub - we had a great dinner - the market fish was excellent - perfectly cooked, with a delicious sauce. The roast beef was tender and the roast vegetables also crispy, fresh & tasty. There are two fires in the Bar - wood and gas - & the service is prompt & attentive ...and all this in the Public Bar!

We dropped in for a bit to eat. The hamburger was nice and the coffee hot. Staff was very friendly

I had a great lunch there and the food was amazing the price was reasonable. Will go back for sure.

Went for dinner last night. Both had the pork belly. Was absolutely delicious. Great atmosphere and equally great service. Did almost forget to pay which was embarrassing. Recommend highly. 😋😋😋
