Great place for staying on a fishing trip. Good meals and atmosphere and close to the boat ramp

You have to eat there that's all I have to say won't be disappointed fantastic staff great location don't forget the fishing rod ?

Went there as l was told it was worthwhile had a good lunch and a beer , drove down the old coach road for a different choice.

Nice country pub with great atmosphere. Food was a bit below par but it was ok.

Best steak I have eaten in my life with all considerations make for allergic requirements. My meal was so spectacular it has ruined future expectations of other food by putting the bar above the clouds in terms of flavour, freshness, attention to details, portioning and overall the love that was put in.

Definitely worth checking out!

Way overpriced for what you get, slow and not very friendly either, if you are coming to town and want to eat, bring plenty of $$ or your own food, it's a shame really, beautiful town. Rip off pub

1130 am and visited the hotel for a coffee prior to lunch. Hotel appeared dark and shut but upon trying the door was actually open. On entry was met by a woman who came out of the kitchen, a man (query husband) was sitting at other end of bar. A large coffee machine was fully on view. I politely requested a cup of coffee to which the woman remarked in the most uninterested fashion that the coffee machine was cold, the husband immediately called out "we're not doing coffee".
So if you wish to be treated like you are a nuisance and with utmost contempt then the Bemm river hotel is the place

Lunch on the deck. Delicious food, nicely presented. Meals for 10 of us all served at the same time. I was impressed. Friendly service and a great location.

Great location. Not bad meals. Went to advertised sausage sizzle on Australia day and waited 50 minutes for a few sausages with almost nobody else there. Can't explain that. Barman couldn't care less.

I wanted to like the food (went for dinner) but it wasn't great and it was overpriced for what it is. The people were lovely and I'd go back any day for a beer and chat in the bar.

Not sure where the 4.7 rating came from, maybe because it's the only option. Food needs serious improvement. 2 stars for friendly service and cold beer.

Family friendly, dog friendly, great ambiance, clean toilets, cold beer and drinks, yummy potato wedges from the kitchen, pool tables and absolutely lovely to meet a few locals and friendly staff including the charismatic and loveable Deb who charmed my six year old and put up with her relentless chatter and gave us all a laugh and made us feel welcome and comfortable.
We also loved being able to pat a few beautiful and well behaved dogs that added to the character of the whole experience.
I could not recommend the place more and definitely worth a visit. Loved it ?

First time in Bemm and won't be the last. Good food, good drinks, good grief why did it take so long.

Amazing Parma, better than most in Melbourne. Great local country pub.

Great food with lovely service from the barman and kitchen staff. However, had a horrible exchange with a woman who must have been the owner or something of the like. We asked the bar if there was somewhere we could fill up our water and followed their directions. To then be told off and dismissed by this woman. It was incredibly uncomfortable and not a way you treat people who had made a mistake without even knowing. If this is ever read by the owner, please be kinder to people who had been honest and were mislead against your wishes by another. It really ruined our experience and left us feeling uneasy for the rest of our evening away. We did all the right things from our end, and were completely thrown back by how abrupt this woman was towards us - not even acknowledging the miscommunication between her and the staff.

The Bemm River Hotel is everything a good, old fashioned, country pub should be. Great food, great beer and great hospitality. The staff are extremely friendly and give the impression that they want to be there, smiling, waving and chatting with guests. Theres a tv, a jukebox, indoor and outdoor seating and a couple great pool tables, although they seemed to be slanted whenever I missed a shot haha!

The Chicken Parma was Spot On! It was the right size for me and the 2 others that ordered it from my table. The salad was really fresh and the dressing on it was bloody beautiful! Hubby ordered Flatty Tails and he also really enjoyed. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Everything was super clean. Loved it

Hands down my favourite pub in East Gippsland! Great location, delicious food and amazing staff!!! Definitely worth the drive, can't wait to get back there again!
