Fantastic location, friendly staff and good food.
We used the caravan park and it was fantastic to have green grass and very clean amenities. Having a beautifully restored pub and restaurant here was a wonderful bonus.

Amazingly clean, great views from the toilet and shower of the Outback, the rooms had everything and was very clean and spacious for our family of 5x. We loved staying here and wished we stayed just a few extra days on our trip from
Sydney to Perth

We stayed at the Outback Resort for one night and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was lovely and clean, the beds were comfortable and the shower had excellent water pressure.
We also had dinner at the onsite restaurant, the food was good although it did take a while to arrive. Would definitely stay again.

Great place, welcoming staff, pub is awesome, amenities are another level, sites are good & grassed. We only stayed overnight & decided to have dinner, this was the only issue as it took an hour to arrive & was pretty much cold, luke warm at best. We would definitely stay again though.

We stayed on a powered site for four nights.
The park was beautifully maintained,.the sites were grassed and spacious.
Great location, far enough out of town to be really peaceful but still convenient to get to everything. Communal campfire and nibbles were complimentary and delicious.
Handy having the restaurant and bar on site. Dogs welcome which was perfect for us

Amazing accomodation about 5 minutes drive out of town. Clean rooms, comfy bed and friendly service. Great little restaurant and bar too. Can't wait to come back again.

Our spa room was amazing! As soon as you walk into the room you are hit with the big window in the bathroom and your own personal balcony looking out at the beautiful countryside. We sat out on the verandah of the pub in the afternoon for a few drinks from the bar, and then had a delicious meal at the restaurant. Glen the manager was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and things to do and see. Can not fault this place or the management....wish we could of stayed longer! Highly recommended.

The room is fabulous, clean, great view from the balcony and bathroom, very comfortable bed. There are kettle, dinnerware, cutlery, even BBQ and coffee machine. Good size of balcony, very relaxing, just feel like home. Probably What I don't like the most the the shower, the water splashed everywhere which making the whole bathroom very wet.

It's about 10km away from town but we'd love the location as it's very different. We did not camp there, but saw campers were a bit struggling with the strong wind and heat as there are not many shelters around the area.

Our set menu dinner at the restaurant was not that good. But in general, we are very happy with our staying.

Great place to stay. Well out of town but has great facilities and very quiet. Well done to the staff working at the resort they do a great job. Pizzas are worth a try if you're hungry.

Love the setting, great facilities. We travelled as a group, staying in beautiful spa rooms (wicked pod coffee included!). We made use of the camp kitchen for shared breakfast. ??'?
Drinks good value, would recommend you check menu online before travelling. No brekky available while we were there which didn't worry us. Love that you have facilities to cook meal in your own unit or camp kitchen.

We stayed here in early July - BIG mistake. It's was a nightmare!
Anyway, we left a 1-star review of our experience and management responded to say they will be contacting everyone who stayed there during that time when the power kept going off and the amenities were broken and dirty.
Over a month later and we still have not been contacted.
I think that indicates the attitude of the management: make it look nice and glossy, marketing it as a resort, but then totally fail to follow up to the promises.
We'll keep waiting for them to keep their promise of them being "...committed to providing appropriate compensation".

We stayed here for one night and while I wouldn't say we were disappointed with our stay, we did find some areas lacking. The service and food was amazing. The people here were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant served great food. We stayed in a cabin with a spa and while the room was neat and clean the veranda out the back wasn't. There is a webba BBQ on the veranda which was dirty and had smelly oil and fat all over the bench under it. The out door setting looked a little scary to sit on as there are holes in the table and the cushions looked dirty and dusty. Normally this wouldn't bother me but it's supposed to be a resort at $205 per night. The carpet inside is horribly stained but as I said, the cabin was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Power drops out but they have a back up generator which kicks in. They also have WiFi but you can't make calls and it gets turned off overnight. We had air con but no heat in our room and we were freezing....only 1 blanket available. We ended up leaving at 5am so we could warm up in the car. The view out the back was nice but the bathroom window also doesn't have blinds. I'm just hoping it was a one way window. I definitely wouldn't class it as a resort and I think we would have felt better about our stay if the cabin had heat.

Sorry, this is NOT a "resort". We were very disappointed in the place. It could be ok in nice dry warm weather but not when it's cold & wet, and it could be great if a few issues were fixed. There is an air of neglect, with the problems indicating a lack of interest by management, or maybe they can't afford to do the required maintenance/improvements or hire enough people to look after the place.
The issues we had were:
1. Most sites very wet & muddy.
2. Unreliable power & water.
3. Lack of cleaning & maintenance of amenities.
4. No control over dog owners.

Update 4/8/23: still no contact from owner, even tho they said they would (see their responses to all the recent negative reviews)!!

We arrived after a bit of rain overnight (only 7mm) and found many sites boggy, puddles everywhere, deep mud at the front of many sites. We were allocated a nice large grassed site that wasn't too wet. That's not too bad, we thought.

Wrong!

We found several dog poos over the site, a dog bone, and a 5+metre dog leash attached to the edge of the site where the dog could roam all over our site. Irresponsible selfish dog owner! We were NOT IMPRESSED to say the least! There appears to be no interest by the park to ensure dog owners do the right thing.

We asked to be given another site and the helpful person at reception moved us, but it was a much smaller and muddy site, right on top of 3 other vans travelling together. There were several vacant sites nearby that were far better - we don't know why we weren't put onto one of those. 2 days later, a van was allocated the site next to ours, which was possibly the worst for mud in the whole park, after having been put on a powered site on which the power didn't work - when they complained about no power, reception said they forgot that it didn't work on that one. It seems like reception don't actually know what the sites are like on a day-to-day basis.

On top of that, the park's power supply is unreliable. They have a backup generator that is meant to kick in if the mains power drops, but on 2 of the 3 nights and the following mornings of our stay it failed and didn't come back on so the whole park was on low/no power, which also meant just a trickle of water through all taps. There was no text message to explain, nor any offer to refund the extra $10pn for power we didn't get. We felt sorry for those who didn't have enough battery power to keep lights and heater going.

The amenities were large and new, but again showing signs of neglect: floors always muddy, the bins in both men's & women's were always full, bits of toilet paper on the floor, many toilet seats broken, often no toilet paper, no soap, etc.

We will definitely not be booking here again.

Excellent caravan park with fabulous amenities and a motel. This place even has a pub and good food. Enjoy the fire pit each night, we did. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed

This place is a caravan park with a few cabins that are nice. However they have major power outage issues that disrupts the lights, water and toilet flush. The restaurant closed its doors as well, as they could not cook any food. talking to fellow travellers, apparently it was happening for a few days, we stayed for 1 night only. I would certainly not recommend staying in a room with kids. No lights, no fans, no shower and no toilet

My family and I spent one night here, we were very happy with the accomodation! The view from the bathroom was beautiful and the room was very spacious. We loved being able to see the red outback all around. We paid $180 for a family room which was very reasonable. If we ever come through again we'd definitely stay again: Highly recommend!

Lovely place to stay, great medium mattress, quiet, good shower pressure, nice food, good beer. Unfortunately we has a few uses, spar would not switch off until we dropped power ciruit 2 which also switched the TV off??, room could do with a detailed clean, fan, skirting boards inside lower cupboards all dusty.

Don't stop anywhere else. This place has great grassy sites. And an on-site pub, with beer on tap. Dinner servings were big. Prices are good. Best camping shower block I have ever seen! Laundry, camp kitchen. And only two km to the lake.

We stayed here last week. Sites are grassy and spacious. Amenities are excellent. Tavern/restaurant very handy. Live entertainment every Sunday arvo. Pizzas are pretty good too. Would definitely stay again.

The view from our deck was the exceptional and the best beer garden I've even been to. The room was simple but luxurious and well designed. Easy check in. We wanted to take the bed with us. We will always recommend this venue to all our friends and if we are ever back through Broken Hill we will be staying here again. Highly recommend it for caravan and campers as the grounds were well watered and green.

The pullout couch bed is worse than military bunk beds from the 60s but the room and main bed is good. View is fine, not crazy good but fair. Fairly clean, could use a bit more vacuuming and such but it's passable. Service in the restaurant was good, food fine.

The water here though, I wouldn't drink, it looks like lake water that hasn't been cleaned.

The walls are very thin so don't expect to come here for some crazy bedroom fun.

Room is nice. Quiet. Kitchen cooked us dinner on our late arrival. Bit further out of the main hub of Broken Hill. Room furniture is a bit tired, couch has had lots of use!! But it is clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay again. Communication has been easy.

We loved our stay here! The facilities are fantastic, lovely grassy sites, clean bathrooms, even have individual sinks and mirrors in each shower cubical. As just a restaurant this place is great, good homemade food. The staff (Matt) are fantastic, always willing to help & there for a friendly chat. Will be back!

Definitely 5 stars for us. The amenities were clean and well presented. The pool was lovely and clean. But for us the Receptionist made our stay she was friendly, helpful and very caring. Katerina is a fantastic employee and I would highly recommend her.

Second time staying here. A good mix of accomodation. The shower block toilets are very well maintained and clean. Meals here are good too. Generous serving and the burger was sensational, while the calamari was a very generous serve. Staff are very helpful and welcoming. Will stay again if in Broken Hill.

Great outback caravan park. Fantastic amenities. Each shower cubicle has its own vanity. Very large drive through grassed sites. No shade so would be very hot in summer. They could do with installing a pool. Not ideal for families as ther in nothing for kids to do, bit that suited us just fine. Very quiet except for the very large generator which kicks in every night. Turns off sometime through the night. Could not rate the rooms as we used a powered site. Restaurant/bar on site which serves lovely meals. Communal fire is lit at 4pm each night. We would definitely stay again.

We had a one night stay here Aug 2022 and wished we'd stayed longer. We had the spa room with the most amazing outback view from the bath. It was spectacular. The room was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The coffee machine and pods and was a very nice surprise.
The resort is beautiful, clean and tidy. The restaurant was delicious with a good variety. Matt kindly lit the fire pit which my kids absolutely loved. I would definitely stay here again.

Amazing cabins with a spectacular view from the spa bath. Very clean with comfy beds. Perfectly sized rooms with ample parking. The pub for dinner is an absolute must. Matt and Nat have just taken over and are doing a fantastic job. Would highly recommend a stay there if you do or do not have a van. WiFi a bit dodgy though!

Beautiful new caravan park with cabins behind a lovely pub about 14km from town. We stayed in the caravan park. Reception and restaurant staff were great and we had two nice gluten free pizzas in the restaurant. Unfortunately only 2 of the 3 washing machines were working and there was a high demand. The amenities while well designed and new were not clean either in the morning or the evening. Everything in there was also very wet which made changing into clean clothes a struggle. Just a bit more care of the amenities and this park would be perfect!

Great facilities, a little bit out of town but that's not a bad thing. Restaurant, Bar, Beer Garden, Pool Tables. Facilities are well maintained and and all styles of camping are catered for. Sites are level and grassed and there are fire pits provided to roast marshmallows on.

Unique park. Loved it here. You can wander up to pub for a drink or a meal and walk back to your van. Amenities are good. Spotlessly clean. Just a short drive to town. Highly recommend

Top notch ablution block, helpful staff, excellent eatery. It is a few minutes out of Broken Hill, an advantage.
Only criticism might be the dump site is a bit too close to some sites for comfort.

I would highly recommend this place.

Clean caravan park with near new facilities and generous camping spots. Lovely staff and the on-site bar and restaurant is great for those wanting a break from cooking. Though the campground is on the highway and next to train line, traffic is very light and almost none existent during the night. A short 10 minute drive into town and just across the road from a local observatory, it's a perfect for checking out the outback night sky.

Totally amazing accommodation. We really enjoyed spending a might here. Great service and super friendly staff. Thank you ☺

The best you can get in Broken Hill. Only wish we could've stayed longer
