Bull & Barley Inn

The best pub on the Darling Downs for accommodation, meals, atmosphere, and friendliness. My 4th stay here. If I could move in tomorrow, I'd be 1st in the queue!

The service and atmosphere was perfect. Sunday drop in for lunch and a quick beer, I had the steak sandwich my partner had the fish burger, they were delicious. Good price definitely worth the trip out, I work in the area as a mobile auto electrician have always driven past and never stopped in, I decided to take my partner out for the day, and stop in and try it out on our way back from the zoo, I am glad I did, and I will drop in more often when I am in the area. The beer garden is amazing, the kids were playing outside the patrons were all relaxed and having a good time.

What an amazing pub! We visited on a very busy day which meant we had to wait a little while for our food. But in such a beautiful location, we just relaxed with a nice cool bevvy or two. Food was great, beer was cold! Can't ask for anything more.

The service was good and the food most enjoyable. Charming place, historic yes. Recommend calling in if your from out of town & travelling towards Toowoomba.

A disappointing experience. Reviews were promising, and the venue looked lovely, but a 45-minute wait time for mediocre food was pitiful. We watched several other tables served before us despite only ordering mains.

My wife, daughter, grandson and dog enjoyed a sunset dinner at this charming Australian pub. The setting was perfect. So was the friendly, prompt service. The food was excellent. From the outset we were treated by friendly staff at every point of the process. They couldn't do enough to make us feel special. The meals were generous and delicious. Of special mention our waitress Gail. She was awesome, funny and full of character.
We will be back. And next time we plan to stay overnight.

Absolutely stunning hotel in what I would say is just a perfect location. So peaceful, minimal traffic going past. Could have sat there all day. Beautiful picnic tables outside where you can enjoy a coldie and a meal. Unfortunately it is not dog friendly. There were signs up everywhere saying no dogs allowed which was a little disappointing. I'm just glad I didn't bring mine.
Heaps of merchandise available including hats, shirts and stubby coolers. Staff were also great. Highly recommend checking it out if you enjoy a good pub.
