Bungalow 8 - Pub in Sydney New South Wales

One of Sydney's flagship and go-to nightlife along the wharf with free entry all night. We were very fortunate and privileged to be migrated upstairs to the Bungalow Balcony (formerly The Loft) halfway throughout the booking thanks to Cam, Christina and the very friendly team! Upstairs Bar has a very "versatile" 2-in-1 feel with high tables and lounges that can be transformed to dancing floors after 9 pm. Be sure to check if private events are held beforehand, as upstairs can only be open to public should a private event/function exists and ends before closing time.

Edit - I have been back because I wanted to see what it was like since the revamp and I loved it. Such an improvement. The food is still delicious and a big difference in the service from staff. A lot more friendly and welcoming this time. Was very happy so have given an extra star for service and the food and the atmosphere. 😊😀
I have been here a couple of times now. The last time was a bit of a disappointment. I did have a great time, I was with a few friends and it was nice to catch up. I just felt like we were being pushed out the door because we were not ordering main meals. We were having appetisers and drinks. The waitress was not overly friendly and just kept asking if we wanted anything else. We just wanted to sit and catch up. It took away from the pleasure of being out. It was a weekend and very crowded but we were paying customers. We weren't just taking up room and not purchasing anything. Otherwise, the other times I have been here have been very enjoyable. Food is always delicious 😋 and the staff are ordinarily friendly and attentive. Just this lad time has stopped me from going back. This is why I am only giving it 3 stars. It's located right on King Street Wharf and is very Eas to get to by Ferry ⛴️, train 🚊 and buses 🚌 aren't far away either. It has beautiful views over the water, looking across towards the Maritime Museum. It's a short stroll up to the casino and in the opposite direction you have Cockle Bay Wharf. It really is in a stunning location. If you're going on a weekend, expect it to be busy and noisy, you can't get around that. It's extremely popular. Thumbs Up!! 😀😀😀

There was no Sunday surcharge, so that was a good start. They have good quality Australian pub food. The fish is hokey in the fish and chips. The side salad had genuine olive oil dressing..
The bar taps are good enough and the service was great .

Absolutely phenomenal! From the moment we stepped in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, setting the tone for a truly memorable dining experience. The food was beyond exceptional - every dish was bursting with flavor, perfectly cooked, and generously portioned. You can tell the chefs take real pride in their craft.

What made it even more special were the waitstaff - they were incredibly accommodating, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. They anticipated our needs with ease and made us feel like valued guests throughout the entire meal.

Nice place to eat on darling harbor. We strolled the whole line of restaurants and then picked here for the barramundi my husband wanted. I got the steak and fries. Both were quite good. Fries were well cooked and crispy, steak was cooked to perfection. Service was quick. You order and pay through your phone, so limited interaction with servers.
