Great for a beer after work. Pub meals are well priced for what you get. Staff are always good. Good place if you are into Pool, or wanna go to a trivia night.

Fantastic venue, so much room to sit and unwind or get up and dance.
Lining up at the bar is quick and easy.
Previously stayed in rooms and they are neat and clean.

We stayed at The Burvale for 5 nights. Staff were very friendly, Hotel was quiet. House cleaning was always on time and did a great job.
Meals in the restaurant were of great quality taste wise and served on hot plates (amazing) quickly.
We would recommend and we would stay there again.

We enjoyed a nice meal there last week, wanted to comment on the welcoming and helpful customer service we received from Mia and Ollie (?). The entrees came out quickly and hot. Mains followed quick after, (but it was a quiet night). Food was good, fairly priced and good serving sizes. Thanks again.

We Have been in Victoria for a few weeks and I am so so glad we stumbled upon this hotel... honestly if you are a clean freak and hygiene is a priority for you then look no further than this immaculate hotel. The price is very reasonable compared to others around. The bedsheets and cleanness was very luxurious feeling. Honestly was not expecting to be so clean... thank GOD! Room service was daily and great modern TV with loads of channel, Netflix option if you have an account, YouTube access on your tv etc. our room was so luxurious and spacious.
Shower was great.
Big room with enough space to sit relax enjoy cuppa and sleep in peace. You wake up to beautiful bird sounds and away from cars and trains etc.. our room# 3 was so clean honestly and the cleaners did an amazing job everyday during our stay from 11/04 to 15/04 for room service daily.
Lots of activities during your stay in the hotel but lots more convenient places to see in close proximity.
We initially booked for one night as we were afraid this would be a bad stay due to hygiene as we had very bad experience in 3 prior hotels in Melbourne before finding burvale. Our first night at burvale was so amazing we decided to extend and wished we had found out about this little gem sooner in our trip..
the price is affordable, lots of good food at the restaurant, and most importantly No bed bugs.
Thank you to the amazing team of staff who helped us from check in day right through to checkout making our stay at burvale pleasant and so good .

We are now regulars at this hotel. We had some bad experiences prior to COVID and said we'd never return but it's actually picked up and is great! Attentive staff, quiet, clean, good food, not too noisy and plenty of parking.
Good for a family dinner or couples. Even a games rooom for the kids. It's an oldie but goodie now! If you haven't been for a while, give it a go like we did!
Cider on tap is an attraction! Beer specials, plenty of food choices. Keep up the good work!

Missed entrees, given cold mains and then told that we could get a toastie from the gaming room.
Spoken to badly with shocking body language.
Really disappointing as previous experiences in the restaurant had been top notch.

Went to the Burvale for a rock gig on a Saturday night and it was a great night out. It was set up with a great stage and dance floor, there was lots of room so it didn't get too crowded. There was also plenty of seating to rest your feet during the breaks. The drinks were super cheap and the staff were very professional and friendly.

Christmas Lunch was wonderful. The choice and quality of food was fabulous and the presentation outstanding...particularly the Dessert area. All staff were wonderful. Bags of chocolates on table a great touch. Many thanks to everyone who helped make it all happen

Very POOR service, only 1 staff on duty taking orders serving meals & drinks. After a LONG wait he delivers my entree & main course TOGETHER. I asked him to take the main back to the kitchen until I had finished the entree. 30 mins after finishing the entree he still hasn't cleared the table or brought out the main. When I requested a refund the manager Jake appeared & was full of excuses about staff shortages. Not my concern. Get the basics right. 11/2 hours there to only get an entree & there was only 20 people in the bistro.

The male bar staff was very patient and helpful with my questions on gf food. Lovely staff and gluten free pizza was delicious!

Has been a long since since I last visited. Tasty food that is a good size and good price. Kid friendly with large parking lot. Would recommend.

Arrived just before check-in closed at 10pm, staff at check-in desk was good, friendly, quick. Room was fine for the night, (cause couldn't be bothered driving back to the west after all day at church) everything was there that was needed,including TV and heater-a/c if needed and Wi-Fi. Beds - bedding was clean as was room etc, had complementary tea and coffee there and fresh towels, small bottles of body wash, shampoo and conditioner etc, water pressure was fine. Check-out was before 10am. Got it for $104 (online price) + $100 bond deposit, gets refunded next afternoonish, after cleaners have checked and if everything is alright. Oh and 1x free parking space infront of room, but plenty of carparks nearby if towing boats, vans or whatever.
If you get bored, the pokies section is open till 5am I think.

The room is clean and tidy. It may require a bit of maintenance/renovation but the price is affordable.

We regularly have dinner in the Bistro but after tonight & the aggressive Ella that told me to go back to the gaming area to get my own drinks because they had no stock in the Bistro. She has NO customer service skills, is Rude & shouldn't be customer facing. She ruined our dinning experience & won't be coming back when she is on duty. We would spend on average 1-2k each visit but now happy to go elsewhere because of her

After a HUGE amount of time between drinks with a friend we decided to catch up at here.
Meals were AMAZING!
My husband and a mate had the ribs and they fell off the bone!
The Sri Lankan curry was delicious.
Desserts were to die for.
Only tiny fault was lighting could be a tad brighter and the menu could have larger font. And running out of glasses ?

Nice local pub in Nunawading.
They've god pool tables and they are in good condition.
They have weekly house tournament on Thursday. Heaps of good pool players there. Friendly staff.
They've got a big screen as well.

Kind of confused, as I've been here numerous times...unquestioned...and tonight brought our friends, all over 21, and were questioned for our IDs TWICE by two different people, and asked to confirm our height, then told we couldn't be served (by the first person again, threw her hands off and spewed out her words while walking away) because "they've had incidents and people die before and don't need a reason not to serve us" no explanation of why we were questionable? Won't be back, which is unfortunate. Not that it was the greatest place to begin with, but we were supportive and respectful-apparently they're choosing not to serve anyone who looks under 60 from now on, regardless of what your license reads.

The bistro has a good range of food on its menu. Good value for seniors especially. Regular prices are as per pub prices. Plenty of parking. Easy access from Springdale Road or Burwood Highway. We were here in Thursday afternoon at 1pm and it was very easy to get a table. Quite a spacious place. In the pokies lounge there is free coffee and tea and $4 ham and cheese toasties.

A great place to grab a nice cold drink & enjoy the shade of the Alfresco option, or sit inside, watch a sport or two on the big screen. If you get hungry, the kitchen starts serving delicious, very fairly priced meals from 5:30pm. Top all that off with friendly, smiling staff and what more do you need in a pub?

Nice atmosphere.
However, ordered meals take far too long to be served.
Plus expensive for what you get.
That goes for their wines.
$42 for 2 glasses.
You expect to pay that in 5 star establishment
The Burvale isn't one.

The Burvale Hotel is in a great location with easy entry/exit and plenty of parking. It is an older hotel, that's ready for a refirb. We went with a group of over twenty people and the kitchen struggled to get all the meals out. The meals, when they came, were as described and good value. Meals are ordered at the bar (off menus or QR codes at the table). Special seniors and kids sections on the menu. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Clean tidy rooms and a great spot for a meal when visiting the area. I traveled alone and had no safety concerns and was well looked after by the staff. Will definitely stay again when in Melbourne.

Food was good and reasonably priced. Place was quiet on a cold Wednesday night. Kids loved the games room. Would have given a higher rating had we were told more tactfully about the closing time. Understood that it was a long day for some staff but then again, we are still paying customers.

Good pub. I've been here many times over the years. Lots of quality pool tables ($3 a game though) and a great projector screen for the footy. Staff are friendly.

The food is great, but the blonde lady who does the lunch shift in the bistro is extremely rude and nasty - had been a handful of times and experienced the same, so it can't be down to simply having a bad day. There is simply no need for such unpleasantness. Lost yourselves a customer here, cheers.

Staff were so friendly and accommodating, food was just delicious. A very underrated venue. The decor is slightly dated but still a comfortable atmosphere.

Stayed at the Burvale a few days ago. The cleanliness of the room was surprising. Despite the old look of the venue, the place was very clean and neat. The staffs were very friendly. I absolutely adore Meg and Nat, who I believe are the housekeepers there. They were really friendly and helpful. Looking forward to coming there again! Cheers

Very clean restaurant and friendly staff. The optional QR ordering system is great but ordering at counter is available.

The seniors meals are outstanding at $9.95 each, garlic bread $2.50, sweets $2.50. The sticky pudding is marvellous.

Regular meals are varied and at modest prices.

Poker machines are nearby but DO NOT impose on the dining experience.

Strongly recommend.

Original room booked was N/A due to plumbing issue so we were put in two rooms which suited us just fine as there were 5 of us.
Clean, good beds, TV, fridge, tea/coffee facilities.
Location was fine - wasn't much traffic noise despite being close to major roads.
Good value!

Stayed two nights and being a light sleeper had no trouble with the busy nearby streets. Very happy with the accommodation and all staff very nice . �'�

Pretty good food. Upper tier pricing for a pub. Meals are over $20 but the quality is good.
