Dinner at the Caledonia's was lovely. Booked online to make sure we had a table. Glad I did. Quite busy for a Sunday night in the off season. Service was great and the meals did not disappoint. Amazing old building.

Dinner was great, kids ate everything, which is a win! The pear and Parmesan salad that came as the side salad with the mains was delicious. The staff were so friendly even going the extra mile to help us out. Will head back there again.

We had a lovely meal tonight at the Caledonian. Pork belly and Veges was great highly recommend. Hubby had the Portahouse with vegetables and the kids had the special Butter chicken as it is one of there all time favourites. Service was great very quick. It's all a family can ask for. Local residents at the front bar even welcomed us on arrival. Very friendly.

Hi Guys, we booked her we with good expectations of tasty fresh seafood. The oysters were so small it was hard to find them amongst the bacon pieces. The fish was absolutely tasteless. We get far better fish from the we local fishnchip shop at less than half the cost. Disappointing meal. Not keen on coming back. I hear the Black Swan Rest is very good but sadly it was closed during our visit. Staff were very rushing and with little interest in customer satisfaction. Like many other reviews the cashier said i will tell the chef re your dissapointment. Seems fairly common. Judging by the very mixed reviews it is a chance restaurant cos u never know what chef is cooking or what u might get. The chances for us is we are not likely to return here.

Delicious food and a great range of local beers. The staff were welcoming and very accommodating of dietary needs. I highly recommend. Do book or arrive early to secure a table so you don't miss out!

Came for lunch and had fish and chips.thoughts the fish was nice but the batter definitely had a greasy element to it. Salad was lettuce with 3 thin slices of pear as well as cheese.
I would go back and try something else - nothing wrong with the venue or staff...

Had dinner here our last night in Robe. Goat Curry and the Fishmans basket. Both were exceptionally good. You must book as they get quite busy. Our food cane out in 30 minutes and the Patrick wine recommendation was sensational. The pub is old and traditional but that was part of the experience. Glad we booked

Had dinner on Saturday night. Food was good but service was a bit slow as they were quite busy. Only complaints are lack of air con as it was uncomfortably warm in the restaurant and the bottle of red wine we received was also warm. I know red wine isn't supposed to be chilled but serving it at room temperature when the room is somewhere around 25° or so isn't the done thing.

We had a great meal the Caledonian Inn.
Sat in the restaurant, but the food was the same in the bar and came from same kitchen so that would not have changed.
We had the seafood platter.
Oyster's, scallops, prawns, 2 types of fish (the battered flake was unbelievably good), calamari. We also chose to add a half crayfish to it which was wonderful.
It was all so fresh, tasty and plenty of it.
We were pushed to get through it all.
Service by the team was friendly and efficient.
Would certainly recommend and glad we went.

We recently ate here in the beer garden, as all the tables were fully booked inside.
We found our own table ( which was pretty grotty from the previous customers) but after wiping it down ourselves we had a fantastic meal of fish and chips- the best I've ever tasted. Absolutely perfect, with a small side of salad.
Very nice lemon lime and bitters too.

Great meals - we chose the prawn skewers for the entree, the beef cheeks, and the stuffed chicken breasts for our mains, and everything was delicious, full of flavour. The staff were prompt friendly. Highly recommend ??'?

Stopped into this lovely pub for dinner. It was busy when we went in so we sat outside, but some tables opened up inside when people went into the restaurant. We got the veggie schnitzels which were nice, some of the chips were a little under done but otherwise it was good.

The kids' meals were great and were generous with their portions, but the mains, on the other hand, weren't great. All of the food was cold, and it took forever. The kids got very hungry whilst waiting. Overall, it was OK but wouldn't come again.

A beautiful old pub in the Main Street of Robe. Very trendily and welcoming. Jasmine the young local girl behind the bar was an excellent host who was willing to share her knowledge with us , whether it was what local beers to try (plenty on tap) or where to visit on our stay. We sat by the open fire in the small front bar a cosy little spot off the dining room. We had only called in for a drink but stayed for lunch which was the seafood chowder on the specials board. So glad we did it was delicious full of lobster which is what Robe is known for. If you like old pubs this one is a must it is full of character. There is a bottle shop attached with beer tasting. A fabulous old beer garden and amazing accommodation that backs onto the water sea views. Right in the middle of town and on the water the location is hard to beat.

Great food in a cosy old pub with some fantastic local wines by the glass. Try the beef cheek with a glass of Flints Coonawarra Cab Sav. The dessert servings are generous so save room.

I like the atmosphere, cute , cozy restaurant in Robe. My husband and I and my 11yo daughter went for dinner. We decided to order the seafood platter and for my daughter we ordered calamari and garlic bread .I decided in hurry and didn't read the menu properly bcos they told us we need to leave with in an hour. the platter was HUGE enough for 4 ppl ( we are not big eaters) i wish they recommended us not to order the calamari for my daughter as the platter came with lots of them . not only a lots of money + surcharge Lots of food wasted ( i had no idea how big the platter is) , I was upset food is getting wasted and couldn't enjoy the food I wish they had advised us .

You know low quality cheap pub feeds from the hotel/pubs the major supermarkets own? That's what we got here.. not sure how you can stuff up a schnitzel or have a nerve to serve processed chicken and charge top $ for it. Couldn't make a booking downstairs due to no one answering the phone wasn't ideal carrying a pram upstairs for a dinning seat on arrival. Strong pass in the future.

Glad the bar staff were lovely

Booked a table a month ahead for Christmas eve and this place was recommended by several friends.

This place did not disappoint. Warm welcome, efficient and courtesy service and fabulous food.

Seafood linguine was spot on. Pasta not overcooked and flavoursome seafood. Coffin Bay oysters were freshly and skilfully prepared, absolutely loved the taste.

Will recommend this to friends and they do not surcharge on card payments on their Tyro Terminal unlike many other restaurants in Robe.

Had a couple of beers here and the atmosphere was fine but the beer selection was pretty limited, the main issue I had was the music they pump out every night until midnight. We stayed a few hundred metres away and couldn't sleep with the bands they had on every night. Thanks Cally for keeping my 7 month old up for hours every night and ruining Robe for families on holiday ??'?? can't believe you have a licence to do this in a residential area!

This pub reminds me so much of the Cornish pubs in England. It's truely authentic, has a lot of character and a world class fireplace. The staff are pretty hit and miss here. I think one of them thought he was the Fonz, walking around with his collar up and making no effort to acknowledge patrons. In general, this is a fantastic pub and strongly recommend a visit.

Fantastic beers, but as we were on a limited time, we waited for 12 like it states on the door but as we asked about tasting plates the staff said that they open at 12:30 and the owner won't be in til then. They didn't even seem to know what time it was when we asked. Annoying as we were just passing through and having a drink. The staff weren't exactly very welcoming either..

Food was delicious. Good range of drinks. We were in the beer garden with our dogs and it was quite cold - heaters would be nice, but we rugged up. No views of the ocean.

Have just spent 3 nights at Caledonian Inn Robe. Each night we ate in the restaurant. The menu was varied and food of a very high standard. Sophie our waitress on each night, was brilliant and looked after us so well.
The cottage we stayed in was very comfortable. There was an ample amount of wood supplied for combustion fire, which we needed to use during our stay. Maybe a larger TV with better sound should be something that should be considered.
All in all well done Caledonian Inn.

We had a great stay at the Cally. The staff gave us a warm and helpful welcome and the room was clean and well presented. It was a delight to stay in such a historic pub. And we had a great evening chatting to other guests around the fire. A memorable stay and thumbs up from us.

We were there on a Thursday night during school holidays. The restaurant was fully booked but we managed to get a spot in the bar where they serve the same menu. Food was very very good and served pretty fast. When we ordered they said it was going to take 40 minutes but somehow it was served in 25 minutes. We ordered the seafood platter for 2 for 110 dollars and it was really good! There was lots of options including oysters, squid, octopus, mulate, soft shell crab and fresh shark that was really amazing. You could easily feed 3 with that!
The guys in the bar were super friendly.
The place is cute reminds me of English pubs full of character. Really worth the visit.

If you're looking for seafood meals, you're at the right place.

My family loves eating seafood and we loved our visit! We had to make a booking to make sure that we had a spot as the place can be busy (especially on a weekend). We arrived quite early, and the table wasn't ready yet so we got to the bar and got some drinks to take outside.

They had performers that you can watch. Although the place is child friendly, it can be a bit loud or look busy for them. My baby doesn't care about noise, but it could be bothersome for the other little ones.

Anyhoo, we love the drinks except for the ciders.

Came the table, we were seated to this beautiful, intimate, and cozy location. We had utmost privacy, even! They were selling paintings that were hanging.

Our meal is superb! Seafood platter is such a great choice to taste all of their sea offerings. The chips is so buttery that I couldn't stop munching it! We also had Seafood Linguine, that's tasting so beautiful. A bit of warning tho, as it can be hot to some. And the dessert? Such a great finale! Their Pavlova takes home the crown.

Overall, we had such a great dinner (a big bill was expected tho, but wasn't that bad for a group of 9 with a baby on the pram). The staff was courteous and friendly, never had a problem. Toilets were clean and has a changing area for nappy. Just wasn't sure if I had seen one that's accessible for wheelchairs.
