Camden Hotel and Pub - Pub in Camden New South Wales

Beers far too expensive. For some reason, staff never man the bar. Have to stand around waiting to just be overcharged for a beer. What's with Camden pubs being low quality and expensive?

Booked for table of 12. Even rang to confirm booking and made sure they had a high chair available. All was good (so they said). Had tried to put us on 2 separate booths so we were not even sitting together. One guy had ultimate attitude from the moment I had expressed that putting a joint get together at 2 separate booths was not acceptable, especially when I had called to confirm the booking and requirements etc. 2 other staff members were fine and went out of their way to make adjustments and made it work. Food was questionable and took ages to come out. They wouldn't serve coffee because they did not have staff to make it. Went somewhere else in Camden for dessert and coffee and disappointed that we had spent our dollars at Camden hotel. Won't go back.

Really enjoyed our lunch here. The steak was cooked just as requested and the pepper sauce was very flavoursome. The staff were happy and attentive. Would recommend eating here.

Great food! The portion sizes are very generous. We popped in after the place we were originally going to was closed, and we loved it so much we came back the next week. A happy accident that has resulted in new customers. We even attended the free trivia and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

I recently dined at Camden Hotel & Pub and had an overall enjoyable experience. One of the standout features was how accommodating the kitchen staff was to my dietary restrictions. I have a few specific needs, and the chef went out of their way to ensure my meal was both delicious and safe for me to eat. It was clear that they take dietary concerns seriously and are more than willing to customize dishes as needed, which is something I greatly appreciate.

However, I did encounter a minor inconvenience upon arrival. Despite having a reservation, there was no staff member available to greet us and guide us to our table. We ended up finding our own reserved table, which wasn't a huge issue but did detract slightly from the overall experience. A more organized front-of-house service would have made the evening perfect.

In summary, The Camden Hotel & Pub excels in accommodating special dietary needs, and the food was fantastic. With just a bit more attention to the seating process, it would have been a flawless dining experience. I would definitely return, especially for the kitchen's flexibility and dedication to customer care.
