A quiet little country pub with a real authentic country vibe and feel. Clean and tidy. Good variety of beers. Service when we walked in was really good and the lady behind the bar was lovely looked to be doing a bit of everything and was working hard. Was set in for a good afternoon of watching the footy grand final.

This was until about midway through the first quarter a group of people walked in who were downright disgusting. Rude, Obnoxious and constantly badgering other patrons. The environment around the bar made me uncomfortable to purchase anymore beers. The language was abhorrent and filthy. It was extremely lucky that a family with a few young kids had just left before this group came through. The behaviour was disgusting but was tolerated by the staff who didn't seem to mind and the group treated the pub as if they owned it and were even given free drinks, started playing their own music like it was a nightclub. I had to walk outside a few times just to get away from the absolute scenes going on inside. I had to leave at 3/4 time of the grand final as I just couldn't tolerate the disruptive atmosphere. I was camping across the road at the lovely (and free highly recommend) caravan park and was planning to hang around keep drinking and get dinner but instead chose not to purely based on these interactions. I must be very clear this wasn't passion or spirited banter this was completely unwarranted and undignified behaviour. Thought I was in kalgoorlie at 2am.

Now with the cafe across the road gone and this experience i'll be treating cann river as nothing but a place to fuel up and pass through until things change. My recommendation would be you review the culture and standard you will accept in you pub. If that behaviour is okay to you then happy days just be sure patrons won't be hanging around. Consider the impact on other patrons or families who may come in if you accept that behaviour. If you want my advice call out any shitty behaviour, get them to calm down/settle and move them on if it continues. It only looks bad on your business if you don't.

Hope things change and one day I can be back to enjoy a few in a better environment.

Delicious food - some of the best we have had at a pub. The lamb shank was fantastic and the chicken stir fry was how Aussie Chinese should be but rarely is - fresh tasty and a simple but delicious sauce.

Stopped in for lunch on Friday.
At the time there was only one lady working there. She was looking after the bar and also running the kitchen.
When we arrived at about 2pm there were about 6 or so fellas in the beer garden, a few at the bar and us (a group of about 10)
The poor lady was run off her feet but to her credit she got everyone's meals cooked and drinks served quick as a flash.
I ordered the Fish & chips and they were perfect. The fish was lovely.
I wanted to say a very sincere thank you to her as she definitely deserves it.
We came back through again on the Sunday night for dinner and she was there again, still smiling and still running that kitchen like a boss.

We pulled in late to the campground behind the pub, nice large grassed area, mostly level. Headed to the pub for a drink and dinner. We enjoyed a beer by the bar and had a delicious dinner in front of the lovely retro oval fireplace. Great pub, excellent meals, and very friendly owners.
