We've been here a few times now and it always impresses. Definitely one of the very best choices for rustic Italian food with a contemporary edge. The perfectly balanced and creative flavours make every dish so delicious.
The table service is friendly and the restaurant has a nice relaxed atmosphere. Make sure you try their Tiramisu, it is amazing. This place is a must go.

Cute decor, attentive staff (could be a little more friendly and approachable). Spacious seating and doesn't feel crowded.
Vodka sauce pasta is super delicious - my favourite. Pasta is cooked el dente. Interesting choices of wine and digestives.
Will come back for more and is on my list of nice food restaurants.
Plenty of 2P parking spots in the surrounding streets. Opens til late afternoon too, which I really appreciate.

Booked Capitano on the recommendation of my daughter and it did not disappoint. It has a great atmosphere of an old school Italian neighbourhood ristorante. Service was fantastic- friendly, helpful and timely. I loved my "square" pizza which was crunchy yet soft and bursting with flavour, while my husband devoured his sausage penne. Would definitely recommend!

Best focaccia I've had in Australia and service was friendly, helpful and efficient. I had the blue swimmer crab and fermented chilli spaghettini with pangratatto (I think) and it was amazing. Cocktails were also delicious and vibe was amazing.

Average pizza and pasta, with a very interesting cocktail selection and plenty of variety to choose from. However, it was a bit challenging to grab the attention of the waiter, and they seemed quite arrogant. Overall, the experience was okay.

Outstanding! The cheese pizza was so fire - crispy dough and chewy crust with a dynamic cheese mix. The lamb pizza was stellar and I hat lamb. And all the drinks are so weak done and very creative. The tiramisu milk punch is one of the better cocktails I've ever had.

Definitely one of the best pizza spots around. The square pies are a must. I was afraid they'd be a bit dense but they're super light and fluffy - almost like a pizza focaccia hybrid. The Sicilian with capers and olives was nice though I'd add anchovies next time. But the round pomodoro pizza with green garlic cream, heirloom tomatoes and purple basil was my favourite. It's the perfect mix of fresh and rich and salty.

Also tried a half serve cocktail which is cute and tasted good but the presentation was lacking. The look and feel of the venue is nice though I found it a bit loud and the seating slightly awkward. Though that may have been a one off based on where I was seated.
