A regular unpretentious pub which is a popular with regulars, and boasts a good pub kitchen with worthy steaks and good sized portions. Pricing is typical for 'The Rocks' but value of the food seems more generous. Sometimes there's live music.

Had a few beers on a Saturday and it was a nice vibe, the food was a bit basic and nothing special but everything was very reasonable priced and unpretentious in their presentation.

This is a real fairdinkum old school pub in the City! The Captain Cook in Millers Point is a cracker, cleanest tasting beer ever! The burgers and steak....amazing value. I'll be back.

Perfect for a pre theatre dinner. Food was great, as was the service. Arrived at 6pm and left at 7pm. We opted to sit outside and a warm late August Saturday night.
