We ran a professional networking night there very recently with 130 guests and the venue and staff were brilliant. Great atmosphere and facilities, all well-supported by the venue staff who were very professional and accommodating to the needs of guests and the event more broadly. The drinks and food were all very good too. We would highly recommend this venue for similar events or just as an everyday punter.

Came here on a Monday night for $20 parma night, located near Aldi and hard rock climbing on Franklin Street. Lots of seating inside and beautiful interior. Not so much parking available so public transport is recommend.

The parma was small and dry, and the cocktails were possibly the worst I've had for the price (over $20 a cocktail). Big selection of beers and spirits.

Got the bartenders special and it tasted so good I needed him to make me another. The skills these bartenders have were amazing to watch and the personality of the drinks were fun and go down so so well. The experience you get upstairs is very relaxed and vibey, perfect hangout spot with mates. Highly recommended for a chill night with good drinks and a warm atmosphere â˜ºï¸

Stopped in here for a quick drink on the way past. The vibe really drew us in but inside it was a bit quieter when we got in. Out the back and front seemed to be the place to be.
We liked the booth seating. Candles in the candle holders on tables would've added to the atmosphere.
The beers were cold and they had a decent range and only stocked Australian beers.
The bathrooms were cool with a planty look continued from inside.

Apple cider was crisp with the perfect amount of sweetness, the perfect drink for a hot day. I had the Fried Chicken Burger, the chicken was beautifully fried to crispy perfection. my family reports that the rest of the food was amazing too.

Nice place for a night out. Excellent service. You order at the bar and the drinks ðŸ¸ get brought over! Or you can scan and order. The waiters can take orders as well. The atmosphere is all about enjoyment. Only drawback would be the toilet aroma wafting across to our table in the outside area.

Captain Melville is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from noon to 10 PM. They are also open Friday and Saturday from noon until 1 AM the following morning. On Sunday they're open from 2 PM to 9 PM.
