Decided to book here on a Saturday night for a group of 8 - mainly because they did not force me to put down a $200 deposit on my credit card to book.

Imagine my surprise when the security greeted us with a smile, a friendly server came and took us to our table and offered us the option of ordering with her or at the bar. "Whatever you prefer" she said.

We spent the rest of the night eating and drinking overlooking Darling Harbour while a DJ played music on the dance floor. We stayed the whole night. Not once were we rushed along or had security guards hovering over us when we laughed loudly.

I can honestly say it was the most welcome I had felt in any Sydney venue in a long long time.

My colleauges and I had a lovely lunch at Cargo Bar on 11 July 2024. We were quite a big group but the service was excellent. They accommodated all our needs and provided us with advice on the menu. Nothing was too much trouble. It was a busy day but the service staff were on point and did not stop the whole time were were there. The food and beverages were also very good. Highly recommend.

Had a very simple lunch and enjoyed it to the fullest. The vibe is amazing and staff are incredibly welcoming. I highly recommend this place for families looking to cherish quality time together ?

We really enjoyed our lunch here, this was one of the more affordable locations in the area. There is quite a bit of selection of snacks and meals and the service is fast.

The eggplant parmesana was huge and my dad was very happy with the flavour and portion size.
I enjoyed my chicken bites and fries as I was only wanting a snack and ended up very full!

Terrible service. When we used our drink cards, they asked us questions like "where did you get this card?" (?) and did not accept the cards because "they can only be applied on Fri and Sat", even tho not stated on the card.

And the drink is terrible (see photo).

We came here before and the review is really good so we came back. But they are losing customers this way. Would not recommend

Food is good, atmosphere is great, but it's a massive venue in a very popular waterfront space, so it's not quiet and they are keen to move you on once you have finished. Prices reflect the location too, one cocktail and two small Tacos was $42. Sheesh! Good spot for Xmas lunch events.

I attended our Staff Christmas party last night and I must say the service from all the staff was exceptional! What a great bunch of friendly faces behind the bar, the food was great and the atmosphere made the night fantastic!!!! A special mention to the best barman Jordan and Will, I asked for the names because they were so friendly and nice and even remembered what i was drinking each time i went to the bar. In fact all the bar staff were awesome! A great night! Thank you Team Cargo ! :) :)

Had 6 beers over a 6 hour period than was refused service because we had been there earlier in the day

Slip Inn was happy to serve us till stumps. With no complaints.

4:30pm and the manager is walking around telling people they need to leave because there are bookings at 5pm.

Ummm - why are you waiting until 4:30 to tell people. He literally approached 3 tables 20 minutes before.

I am not here to tell someone how to do their job but I think In future letting customers know there is a booking on the table prior to sitting. From this angle; it comes across as racism / discrimination. Why was my table to chosen to be forfeited for a reservation and not the 30 others.

The gorgeous view, the water, the amazing vibrancy of the city unfortunately is stained by the skid mark that is Cargo bar.

You have one of these in your home town, serving overpriced drinks and horrible cocktails. It's characteristic of any tourist trap location.

The staff were unhelpful, rude and arrogant. The decor, cheap tacky and sticky.

Honestly don't bother. There are some gorgeous cute little cocktail bars only a very very short walk from here. Try Pappy's, Old Mates Place or Captain's Balcony....all of them are exceedingly better with amazing service, great cocktails and a lovely atmosphere.

Great spot for some pub food right by King St Wharf that's fantastic for large groups.

One of the best located bars on the Harbour. Food was really good especially the squid but felt it was a bit pricey for the portion sizes and didn't necessarily provide fantastic value for money. Good selection of beers on tap and relatively quick service however.

Great night out, live music, DJ, food was great, we had the cheeseburger +chips and schnitzel with spaghetti carbonara, cosmopolitan was abit too strong ?

Visiting Sydney for the first time from overseas, arrived there around 12:30am or so (after walking from a different club, the place was half empty, I was sober (because I was driving) , and was told by the lady at the front that I can't go in. Told her I'm visiting from overseas and just wanted to see the club to which she rudely responded "go back to your country then" and turned around.

Definitely not a great experience. As I approached with respect and calm and was treated like nothing.

Half priced taco Tuesdays! And half price margaritas! Lovely atmosphere. QR/mobile ordering supports setting up a tab!

Nice venue to enjoy the water view! I had the Tuesday promotion at 12pm-4pm for half price tacos and margaritas. Tacos were alright, they came out really quick but unfortunately my tacos took about 30 min & the chicken tacos had a bit too much sauce. The barramundi taco was actually really good! Fries were good also. Tommy's Margarita was nice, but my friends said the Classic Margarita were not well balanced.

Plenty of menu for Vegetarians and Vegans! Great for dinings in groups (I'd recommend booking for large groups), and orders are easily placed from the tables via QR code.

Cargo Bar catered amazingly for our group at their recent Super Bowl event. The team were super friendly and very well organised for this event. I highly recommend Cargo Bar to anyone who is looking for a venue to host an event or to anyone who would just like an afternoon/night out! Shout out to Georgie & Pierce for their hospitality.

Saturday night was my first time at Cargo. I danced from 10pm to 2am and would've kept going if the hours were longer. Lots and lots of people, best music with some bangers. I'll be definitely coming back here for such a great experience and the eye candy lol

Not too bad of a place. We got a space/ table for ourselves so it was decently private for us. The system to order food and drinks was efficient, so you could just scan the QR code and order online and it would go to your table.

The drinks were not very strong but overall it was okay. The food was decent.

The atmosphere seemed quite good but it was also very crowded and busy. The music was okay. Probably wouldn't be the first club I'd choose, but it was an okay experience overall.

Located in a fantastic place in Sydney among all the action near darling harbour and Barangaroo. I had a nice experience where you can order and pay digitally and service was fast and food and drink was just perfect.

I don't usually give a 1 Star rating even if I had a bad experience. But I really want to do it this time sighting the unprofessional behaviour of Staff at Cargo. I was at Cargo on Monday 6th June around 10.30 pm. Even though the website says it closes at 2 am but the staff was hurrying and mentioned they will close at 11pm. That's fine! But they hurried us so much to finish our drink. Never faces such kind of unprofessional behaviour in Sydney before. Taken away all the candle lights. Was very rude when taking order. Management should look into this. Specially the staff working on 6th June Monday night.

Popped in here for some Christmas drinks. We had a booking from 2pm until 4pm/5pm. We got rudely asked to leave at 5pm as there was another group which booked in after us. Venue isn't bad but the poor service from the Events Manager really put a sour touch on the day.

Love this place! The music is amazing, there are always awesome DJs playing. The staff serve you straight away and they are all so friendly - especially Gabby the manager, she's the best! She greets everyone with a smile and makes sure everyone is taken care of. Also, they have fantastic jello shots which taste delicious 😋

Went here for dinner not expecting too much given Cargo is more known for drinks. Ordered the poke bowl and was pleasantly surprised! Dish was fresh and the salmon was cooked to perfection - not over cooked and the char grill gave it a great smokey flavour. Presentation was great too! Would definitely order again if I'm back here for a feed!
