Staff were Welcoming.
Fire place was great & Location was great.
Elevator Needs to be updated door very heavy not much time to get in /out closes to Quickly.
Our room was comfortable
Just a bit Small.

Glorious historical hotel in excellent condition. We got the 2 nights deal in the 'traditional room' for $140 available on the hotel website. It's without an ensuite but you still have a private bathroom down the hall.

The hotel includes an awesome cocktail bar with delicious and unique cocktails, dining room, and a number of cozy private function rooms.

You should make the effort to find the pool room and library!

Greeted by very warm friendly staff at reception. Check in and check out was efficient. Location is very near the Katoomba train station and along the main street with many restaurants to choose from.. Breakfast has an adequate spread, nothing spectacular, but was sufficient for my 2 nights there. Room was spacious. Had requested a cot for my infant which they were able to provide, and it was comfortable and also inexpensive. Best thing was the vintage/antique decor of the hotel. From the furniture to the elevator and creaky wooden boards. It might look a little old in the photos, but in person, everything just contributed to the vibe. Such hotels cannot be easy to maintain, and it was a rare and enjoyable experience to live in such a setting. Everything was well thought out to keep this vintage hotel relevant to today's expectations of a traveller.

My husband and I enjoyed a very Special 50th Wedding Anniversary dinner in The Grand Dining Room last night. We were warmly welcomed and congratulated by the Wait Staff and offered a complimentary glass of sparkling white wine. The environment and ambience was really lovely. The pianist played very pleasant dinner music on the?baby Grand piano. Our meals were beautifully cooked and presented. The best seared scallops that we have ever eaten. Please pass on our compliments and gratitude to the chef! Thank you all very much for a memorable dinner and evening. Anne and Louis Lee.

The hotel is a lovely haven from the cold weather outside. With an open fire, comfortable lounges and friendly staff who help with all your needs. Rooms were very comfortable and warm. Had a superb dinner in the grand dining room. All in all our stay was excellent.
