A group of 9 we all commented on how delicious our meals were, I had steak and it was cooked beautifully. The wine list is excellent and compliments the menu, service was friendly and attentive

The food was fantastic, the service was amazing and the atmosphere was great. Overall, it was a really great night spent with friends in a really relaxing atmosphere. If you haven't been here before then, you need to try City Oval Hotel. You won't be disappointed 😉

Good service, unfortunately food was too pricy for what it was.

$16 for 3 small prawns is a bit much.

The steak was cooked a bit inconsistently but was overall ok. The chips were great!

Great food. Veggie burger was fab albeit a bit pricey at $28. Staff were fantastic from the moment we arrived. Food arrived quickly too, other meals the family had were great too. Pint of guiness from the tap was welcomed. Would definitely return.

I wasn't expecting much (I'd been here several years ago) but with a new chef in the kitchen I had one of the best roast chicken dishes!! Well seasoned, nicely roasted skin, juicy chicken, with those nicely crunchy roasted areas around the wing and drumstick. I was pleasantly surprised eating this in front of the fire on a cold Ballarat day. BTW the chips were crunchy with a good amount of chicken salt. Yum
City Oval Hotel is open Monday and Tuesday from 4 PM to 11 PM. They are also open Sunday through Saturday from noon to 11 PM.
