To begin, the room was outdated and tired, bearing little resemblance to the modern accommodations advertised online. The bed was hard and uncomfortable, and the television was at least a decade old, further contributing to an overall feeling of neglect. Additionally, the bathroom extractor fan did not work, leaving the walls and windows wet and steamy long after use, which created a damp and unpleasant environment.

The condition of the hotel's common areas was also disappointing. The hallways had a strong smell of cigarettes and an unpleasant odor of old dogs, and the elevator barely worked, making it an unreliable convenience.

I was particularly frustrated to find that the reception desk closed at 1 PM, despite your website stating otherwise. This lack of availability made it challenging to address concerns during my stay.

The bathrooms in the bar were in an unacceptable state, with muddy footprints covering the floor and toilets overflowing with dirty paper. This level of cleanliness is far below the standard any guest should expect.

Overall, the hotel exuded a tired and neglected atmosphere, which negatively impacted my stay.

Had the ribs which were nice and tender in an Asian sauce which was a nice change from the usual bbq flavour. Also the calamari and veggies, which were good. Overall solid feed, would eat here again to try the other dishes.

We had such a lovely time. Friendly receptionists that were more than happy to help, and looked like they really love their jobs. The elevator was super clean, so was our room. Great job cleaning staff :-). The rooms are dated and our bed was a bit squeaky, but, I'm not complaining. No bed is like home 🏠 :). The only downside would be parking, but for $20 it's not a problem. Thanks again team, you have a lovely place and we hope we'll be here again one day.

Highly recommend staying at the Clarendon Hotel. We stayed overnight. the lady at reception was lovely and very friendly. The room we stayed in was very clean and comfortable. It was close to where we parked our car and to where we were going out for dinner. The only downside was they didn't serve breakfast at their restaurant. The lady at reception was most helpful letting us know about cafes within walking distance to grab breakfast today, however none of the cafes were open for breakfast on a Sunday so we ended up going home without breakfast.

Jugs of cocktails for $26 were fabulous, food selection/menu, quality and flavours were very good.
Very enjoyable meal with friendly service.

* However the ladies toilet was beyond comprehension- absolutely disgusting, I alerted the bar staff when leaving.
It should be VERY clean, bins emptied, soap replenished and should smell fresh, I felt like I was literally standing inside the toilet!
