Food over priced and virtually inedible. We should have got out of there when at 5.40 pm we got told the publican needed to prime the beer lines, which meant no one had been there before us all day. The steak and vegetables we ordered had already been cooked, then frozen, then reheated. What wasn't soggy was tough. Everything was over salted and swimming in gravy. Certainly not worth $30.

Very creepy vibe, wedged my door closed with a set of keys. Woke in the middle of the night to my door being slammed shut. in the morning to my keys not being wedged in the door. Wouldn't stay here be warned

I've never seen a barman unhappy about 30+ people pulling up to have beers and lunch, he was given notice at least days in advance of us arriving.
Yet he was there by himself to run the bar and cook meals.
After the vibe we got trying to order a drink we all decided to skip having lunch here.
After reading other reviews online, we are very glad we did. Publican was weird, until we were leaving, then he was our best buddy!
A few horror stories have been heard since then too.
The only good thing to come out of our visit here was the laughs we got from previous reviews. And the relief from not eating here.
He was angry with me when I politely asked for a replacement soft drink because the one I got was 18 months out of date..... hate to think what the food hygiene would have been like.

The previous reviews are spot on. The beer was flat, the diet coke 18 months out of date and there was zero hospitality, the un happiest happy hour, would help if the publican was more personable.

This pub is the worst experience I've ever had. The publican told us upon arrival that he was "pissed", and then proceeded to get all of our orders wrong. He confessed to the whole table that he was afraid of his wife and didn't want to go into the kitchen. When we requested the gravy we paid for, I was met with a stern no... that's it. The beer was hydrating, mostly because it was 90% water!! And the publican was creepy and rude. The only reason they get a 1 star is because we liked the music.
Additionally, the steak sanga was literally a rissole with cheese on it!! You're kidding me mate...

The service was welcoming and friendly. A really nice regional pub around. Good food, good service and good vibes.

Avoid at ALL costs!!! Especially if you're a young female!
We made the mistake of stopping by and will never ever go in there again and heard some horror stories from the locals about the owners behaviour!

Wish I'd read previous reviews. 5 of us ordered 3 parmas and 2 Kiev. All raw in the middle except one. Cook offered 'to neuk them in the microwave'. Offer declined and still charged full price and told that's the way it is. So told that has never happened in 20 years! But if you read the past reviews it has. Save yourself salmonella and go anywhere else.

Wouldn't eat here, group of 5 ordered 2 Keivs 3 Parmas got 3 Keivs 2 Parmas. All 3 Keivs were raw in the middle and one of the Parmas was raw aswell. Publican gave us 2nd round of drinks for free but charged us full price for all 5 meals ?

Maybe not the best place to go for a Friday lunch..
Parmas were out quick, that's because they weren't cooked properly.. pink in the middle, with a spoon of tomato paste & half melted cheese..
Salad was a few cut up bits of dirty lettuce 1 cherry tomato cut in half & a squirt of mayo. Small amount of chips that i was worried were from previous customs leftovers...
If you're tempted go to the cafe..

Out and about exploring the area and came across this little pub. Owners only been there 12months and in the process of refreshing it. What a nice surprise. Small menu but enough to choose from for a tasty, reasonably priced menu. Will definitely be back. Especially for a Sunday roast. Marg & Dave.
