The Commercial Hotel Millthorpe, Millthorpe NSW

We went to the Millthorpe annual Christmas Markets, and then had a wander around this gorgeous little town.

The place was buzzing, every store, cafe or Cellar Door we went in to the staff were excited, happy and super friendly.

Well that is until we walked in to The Commercial Hotel!

The venue itself looks amazing, really well decorated and appointed, inviting even.

That's where it ended, unfortunately.

The staff were unfriendly and abrupt, even to say unwelcoming.

I asked a couple of questions regarding their menu and all I got was short abrupt unhelpful answers.

The place was buzzing, but by no means that busy that staff were under the pump enough to be rude.

Even from the kitchen, unhelpful and not to mention not a very dietary friendly menu

I do hope it was a one off for them as I would really like to go back and visit them again and hopefully get the great service I am sure is they have their.

The 4 Stars are for the venue itself

Sunday night, great beers, nice wines and smashing Currie french fries.

My two girlfriends and I enjoyed our dinner here tonight. We shared the fried haloumi for entree and I had the crumbed lamb cutlets with salad and chips finishing with hot apple and rhubarb crumble with vanilla ice cream. I had a fabulous aperol spritz to accompany my meal. Lovely ambience and service. This recently refurbished pub is off to a good start.

Lovely atmosphere ,friendly service great food at reasonable prices ,good selection on both their regular menu and their daily specials will be definately going again

Stopped in for a quick snack for a hungry child with hubby and dog before going out for a late lunch do. Had kids meal chicken tenders an chips, cheesy garlic bread, chips and halloumi chips - all very yummy. Washed down with a couple of dark beers. Doggo was welcome in the beer garden. Very happy all round 😀🏾
