Commercial Hotel Motel

Came here for a cheap stay... big mistake.

Stayed in a single room with a communal bathroom (never again):

Dated rooms with cracks, rot, yellowed walls and furniture. Air is thick with stale cigarette/mould smell. Urine all over the communal toilet seats (not 100% motels' fault)

Floorboards are loud and creaky. Street sounds are loud and echo through the rooms. PowerPoint's are across the room from bed. Bar Fridge is loud and irritating (not allowed to switch off, woke me every defrost cycle as it sits right next to bed). Old spring mattresses for beds, feel like plywood to sleep on.

Now, I booked for 3 nights, I left in the middle of the 1st night. The defrost/warming cycle on the fridge woke me up 4 times before I finally left prematurely.

I would pay triple to stay somewhere else. Service was quick and efficient, facilities need to be condemned. Barely got a wink of sleep with the stale air.

Think twice about staying here.

What a **it hole. STAY AWAY from these fools. The staff are rude and unhelpful, the place is absolutely disgusting. Bathrooms are half broken barely useable, floors are VERY creaky, place has a dirty feeling and everything is broken. I was looking for a cheap place to stay for 2 nights, as I'm in Lithgow for work/study. I'm spending from 7am-5pm out of the place so I'm mostly looking for a bed to sleep in, and a shower- not too much. I called twice on the day of arrival to make sure that a 10pm check in wouldn't be too late. They advised me "yes that's ok" both times I called. On arrival I was told 'by the way our hot water is not working, it should be on by 8am'. At 4pm the next day I found hot water isn't working still. When I asked reception about why no one told me on the phone, Owen lied to me and said it only stopped working after midnight but I arrived at 10pm and it wasn't working so Owen tried to tell me I was lying. Then he organised another hotel for me to stay at for the second night. I went to the second place 'landsdown hotel'- they looked at me like an idiot and said are you a contractor? I said no but Owen from the commercial hotel just called and asked if I could stay here, they said yes but no there are no rooms available. Back to square 1 I called Owen, he made some calls and found a 3rd place for me to stay. This time, the Lithgow valley motel. Which is a drive away from town, with no food or pubs nearby. It's also double the price of the original motel (very worth it turns out).
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS, no matter how cheap it might be. That's what got me I was looking for a cheap stay but it's really worth paying a bit more not to have this headache. I've also seen other reviews about the exact same hot water issue.

This place is nice for 1-3 nights but anymore is too long.The hotel rooms are small but good and also the TV is tiny and has no remote.I stayed in the hotel for $90 a night.The shower and bath looked like someone got murdered in there.The toilets are decent.The location is near shops and Lithgow Station which is a bonus.The food is.. 5 STAR! The dining room food is the best food ever!There is sadly no breakfast but a bakery is across the road.The view isn't the best but it's still good I guess.Definetly coming here again!

I've stayed in some dodgy places, but this is definitely up there.
Easter weekend, wasn't expecting to be travelling to Lithgow but needed accommodation a month out.

I'll keep it short and sweet.

- Blind isnt even long enough to cover glass and keep light out
- Bathroom door didn't close, leaving zero privacy
- No allocation of parks, so anyone can park anywhere... making it absolute chaos
- Filthy Bathroom that is in dire need of a renovation
- Got bitten by something in our sleep on the second night there, so possibly in need of pest control
- Random desk in corner of room that has a lamp attached to it, where there is no PowerPoint near it. Literally useless.

We also bought a takeaway 3 pack of tall neck beers on Easter Sunday, which were 3 months out of date.

Beggars can't be choosers in this situation, but jesus christ travelling with a six month old made it dicey.

If you've got kids, avoid it.

Price was matched to what was advertised online. The room was decent for what we paid $80 however only one channel on the TV worked and someone stole the remote.

Their shared bathrooms are pretty gross and I would not recommend using the shower / bath only the Toilet.

All in all if you're just wanting somewhere to sleep at night and aren't fussy go with this place. Wouldn't stay longer than a day.
