This pub has changed hands recently and is fabulous. Great food. Good service only suffering from starting out and getting everything sorted out. Short but well priced wine list. Great beer garden and surrounds. Highly recommend this new look. Love it. And recommend checking out new year's eve here. Not sure if the accommodation is open though. Five stars and yes I am a real person! Not a robot!🤣

Went here with our motorcycle club. Ordered beef brisket which was not ready?? So instead they offered a steak sandwich as I'd already paid well I'm glad they gave me that as it was utterly delicious ; huge piece of tender steak cooked perfectly medium just as I like it. Tender juicy and delicious! The chips were chunky style and very nice too. Service took a while but I think we had 18 people for lunch so I guess that may have been why?? The food was very good. They have a nice beer garden too but we sat inside. Soft drink a bit pricey but I think drinks prices have gone up everywhere a lot?!!

The country club has reopened. We were there on their first night. They did beautifully. Service very attentive, friendly and honest that they were still coming up to speed. All good.
Food was spot on. Well balanced menu (much better than as currently listed on this google site). Best we've had in a week gadding around this sort of the world.

We weren't told when ordering our expensive (+15% surcharged) meals that they were a chef down, and so we'd need to wait for over an hour for food. Not an easy wait with two hungry kids. While food itself was a decent standard, the portions were small and we left $100 lighter, still hungry. Felt ripped off because frankly, we were.

Maybe cynical, but with Yea being a pretty and popular area; I formed an impression that the owner isn't really counting on repeat business... squeeze each customer and move on? I certainly won't be back.

Sincerely wish we'd gone to the nearby bakery instead, which looks great. Next time.

Stunning environment and friendly staff! Delicious food, I definitely suggest getting the cheesy garlic bread and the cherry sour beer by venom beer.

?? Beautiful Location, Expensive Meals ??'?
The Hotel itself is gorgeous. Stunning outdoor dining area and indoor Bistro.
However the food is quite expensive for what it is. No dish is below $30 each and they are just your standard pub meals.

Lovely place with good food and great service. Went with a group of 20 people and everyone was happy with their food and service which is a rarity. Has a few good vegetarian options too.

We enjoyed our meal at Country Club Hotel. We were visiting Yea on a day trip from Melbourne's outer suburbs. Our meal consisted of: porterhouse steak (requested medium rare) with salad and chips; calamari with salad; and mud cake with ice cream. The steak was delicious, nice char, and cooked as requested (a hint of pinkness remained). The accompanying pepper sauce was excellently delicious - good heat, great peppery flavour. It was a simple meal and presentation of the meal was not the fanciest :-) but flavours were delicious. The calamari was seasoned beautifully and cooked well. The chips were also cooked well. Salads for both were ok - nothing wrong with them and the dressing had good flavour. The mudcake was excellent. Prices for the mains were comparable to other pubs in the area (we checked menus of others before deciding which venue to attend). Prices might feel high, considering the simplicity of the steak dish...but I'm seeing that with a lot of different venues (sign of the times, I suppose) and a good cut of porthouse steak from the butcher isn't cheap. Dessert prices comparable to most venues in Melbourne. Venue was well maintained, with good atmosphere in the dining rooms. There was an open fire place with a warming fire in one of the dining rooms. It seemed like a popular venue - it was busy and people were chatting happily. Staff were friendly. There was no soap in the toilets (male and female) to help with washing hands. However, talking with a local who also was wanting soap said the pub is usually very good with such things and this was an exception. Overall, very happy with the meal and dining experience.

A wonderfully renovated country pub following a fire several years ago. Matt, the Bar Manager and Elle behind the bar were fantastic and we're keen to have a chat with two older travelers. Old mate, an 82 year old local was great fun to talk to. Our meals were perfect! I had Sticky Pork Ribs and my wife had Beef Schnitzel which we preceded with a garlic bread cob loaf. To top it off after paying for a meal we were able to " free camp" in the pubs back yard. We'll definitely make this our final stop on some trips in the future.

A hidden gem in Yea! Stopped in for a very relaxing dinner under the vines. Attentive waiting staff, delicious meals which were delivered fast and the most sunny but shaded courtyard make this a perfect pub stop on route back from Bright. Check it out! ??

Great country pub with excellent menu.
I had the chicken parma.
The place hasn't been ruined by the hipster chardonnay set, even though Yea is often a weekend destination.
Looked like recent renovations have been done.
Very nice.

Dropped in here for lunch as we were passing through yea probably the best pub in the strip of Shops. Meals we're really good we had the fish and chips more than you could eat the drinks wer very well priced and you can take your dog in the lovely beer garden people also welcome.

Good food, ok prices. We didn't wait long and service was great. We both enjoyed our meal: calamari and beer battered fish and chips. The range of food isn't huge but that wasn't an issue for me. Only thing we didn't like much was how the hot food was placed on top of the salad.

Toilets were very good and clean.

We could have chosen to eat indoors near a nice warm fire or outdoors. We chose to eat outside, even though it was a bit chilly because we still aren't comfortable being indoors with people in these Covid times.

One of the best things about this restaurant and Yea in general is that there is a Tesla super charger around the corner.

If you can, visit the Yea & District Tourist Information Centre and take the half hour nature walk through their reserve - it is amazing!
