Possibly the worst hotel I have stayed at in recent years. The rooms are too small, the air con doesn't work, stains on the carpet and just really tatty. Not what I was expecting.

What an awesome stay.
It was my intention to stay 1 night, a week later, I left this wonderland.
It is a delightful old world building, and the grounds are the best to take in a stroll very early morning or early evening with a glass in hand.
I occasionally read other reviews and note that others mention the size of the rooms as being small.
The Morton Wing has smaller rooms with a small bathroom. These are priced accordingly and still very comfortable.
Please keep that in mind when booking.
However, for me, this place is about service. Tish at reception on arrival is a delightful treasure of a person and so eager to assist. Giving me a great deal of help throughout the week.
James, the manager (as I understood), will do absolutely anything to assist, even when you may be a very painful guest. As I did witness.
Great work James.
Without a doubt, James's greatest strength or let's say, asset, is the team he has around him. It's truly great to see a young man in that of Harrison really enjoying the work he does and being proud of his environment.
Now, let's lift this to another level. Samantha (Sam), add all of the above comments and add 5 stars.
Her professionalism, attention to detail, and her ability to keep a full/busy dining completely calm is and was wonderful to experience..
Not only thanks, but I really appreciate what you guys do.
Thanks for a fabulous stay.
Look forward to my next stay.

An historic guest house that has been preserved but extended and updated over the years. Offering a variety of room types and prices. Rooms are clean and pleasant. The building is surrounded by gardens and a golf course. The restaurant has a small but professional menu of good quality and well presented dishes. The breakfast was sufficient but not really the extent or quality you would expect of an up-market property. There are many semi private sitting areas with open (gas) fireplaces and a bar to sit and relax. Plenty of parking close to the hotel building. Housekeeping was a little lacking with several of the bathroom amenities empty and the bed not made (although the room was "serviced"). Located on the outskirts of Bowral, about a 5 minutes drive away. Overall a pleasant stay in a relaxed and historic setting.

1. The rooms are tiny and very old - no room to put suitcase or toiletries. When I sit on the toilet, my knees reach the wall and I'm only 5'4. The place definitely felt very vintage!
2. Spiderwebs in the room and the window doesn't shut properly
3. When reported this to the receptionist, she said "all rooms are like that"
4. The receptionist kept telling me to book directly with her in the future instead of Accor. What??!!

The hotel manager was very polite and helpful, the lounge area was nice and cozy, and the garden and golf course were beautiful, food at the restaurant was great!

Charming resort with lovely gardens and cozy lobby. We stayed in room 1 right next to the recaption. The rom was spacious and comfortable. Staff are very helpful and friendly. We did some nice walks. Overall impression is that they are at cross-roads whether to invest and make it comprehensively modern and well maintained. Hope they go ahead and do that as it needs a bit of investment as some parts are run down. The location is stunning. PS: the spare blankets are stored in the bathroom which is not that intuitive. It does get chilly at night. PPs: we did not eat there as we were there for a wedding at another venue. The restaurant looked nice and not very busy. Will try it next time.

A classic older property. Smaller rooms but we had access to a shared verahdah, great to relax, have a drink. The room is well set up for it's size. Plenty of power.

A wonderful stay for my husbands work conference. The customer service was attentive and I had lots of time to explore the grounds before they let me check in early and relax. The reception lady was so kind to let me check-in minutes before the check-in time. Dinner at Hickory's Restaurant was delicious and we had lots of choices in the evening for activities and facilities to relax in. Overall a top experience.

Lovely location, food was very fancy but also very tasty. Room was small, bathroom tiny.

Grounds were really beautiful and well kept. Food from the restaurant was consistently great. Rooms were small though and small spiders came through the window and into my suitcase. No room to put toiletries in the bathroom. Comfy bed and pillows though. Split system air con did the job.
Had to carry suitcase up many stairs.
Arrived receptionist was on phone , no acknowledgement at all. Didn't even look up. We went and sat in lounge ... nothing.
After several minutes another receptionist came. (I'd found and been to the toilet by then and still waiting)
No apologies about the wait.
It would have been nice for the originally girl 0n phone to even mouth sorry will be with you soon, or even look up and smile. Not a very nice welcome to peppers .
Room ok.
Breakfast good, lovely staff in the restaurant.
Beautiful grounds.
But unfortunately the arrival was not a pleasant start.

Overall we enjoyed our stay, however the glorious surrounds and numerous lounge areas with fireplaces are what saved this place from receiving a 2 star review.

There's enormous potential here but it's tired and drab interiors really need infusing with some love again. There's a real mismatch between the grandeur in architecture and the lacklustre decor; especially the paintings!

Rooms and their bathrooms were surprisingly small for the rates charged and attention is required for reducing the sound transference between the rooms as sleep was difficult with others coming and going and a baby crying in a room nearby. To top this off, we were huddled around the foyer at 3:20am following awakening to a blaring fire alarm (thankfully fire brigade determined it a false one).

Both the check-in and check-out processes were complicated by numerous errors including being given keys to a room which clearly hadn't been serviced at all.

Breakfasts were okay but service was a little hit and miss. We had dinner at Hickory's where the chef is to be complimented on a quality meal followed by the best dessert I've ever had! Amazing!

There were some outstandingly efficient and friendly staff members, so special mention goes to Essie (unsure of spelling) and the lovely lady who looked after the reception area of an evening (I'm sorry we didn't get your name).
Had a wonderful overnight stay at Peppers Craigieburn. Such a beautiful hotel with amazing gardens and golf course. The staff made our stay extra special and went out of their way to ensure we had a good time. Will definitely be back.

Oh we love this place so much we are definitely coming back here! Beautiful surroundings, comfy lounges to sink into and relax or read, by the fireplace. The dining - wow the food was perfectly prepared and delicious. The best thing is the way the staff take care of you. All just simply relaxing.

Not great. Service isn't very good, the room is not clean enough, rubbish was still in the room when we arrived, items such as bath mats were missing. We were told when we arrived that we did not have inclusions such as breakfast that we had pre-paid for. Food and drinks credit that we were entitled to through our booking with Luxury Escapes was made extremely difficult to use by staff. Billiards room was locked and we had to ask to use it which somehow also confused the staff as if we were asking a favour. The grounds and potential of the property are great, it is just not well executed unfortunately.

Don't stay here. Location and grounds are beautiful but experience was terrible and the interiors haven't been updated since the 90s. I paid $460 for one night in a superior balcony room with nature views. However once we got to the room it was a standard room with one tiny window that was blocked by a roof and had a view of corrugated iron. There was a wedding on so they obviously bumped our room hoping we wouldn't notice. When I requested to change rooms they didn't have anything comparable to offer and made it very difficult to get the $150 refund between the standard room and what we booked. I haven't been able to get in touch with them since leaving the venue and am still following up with them. Breakfast was included and wasn't worth it. Food was cold, tables hadn't been cleared so we had to move dirty plates onto another table and sit at a dirty table. There was also a leak in the ceiling that was dripping water into a bucket right next to the buffet.

Room was clean and comfortable. Tho hotel is very tired. Could hear neighbours chatting next door and guest walking upstairs. We paid for garden view balcony only to find it was one large communal deck with views of old run down garden sheds. Children playing on deck and people standing outside our door which made it very Un private.

We spent a couple of days here and enjoyed it very much.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The building has such elegance for a 100 year old structure.
The grounds surrounding the building look fantastic and well maintained.
Unfortunately I didn't have time to play the 9 hole golf course, but it is on my list for the next time I stay here.
The King Room was a good size and comfortable. But the TV is very small.
We had great views from the 3rd floor Room, over looking the grounds.
The restaurant has a good quality menu and a nice selection of wines.

This property has so much potential, but it's tired, dirty and scruffy. My room was in poor repair, with glass marks on the tables and a chair with frayed upholstery. The cleaning staff need further training, dusty ledges and marks and scuff marks on doors and cupboards.
The staff however were warm and friendly..

I wouldn't recommend for the price it's an expensive motel.

Very nice place. A comfortable bed and lovely meals.

Had a great experience and the team there were very helpful. I enjoyed myself as a supervisor and the conference members enjoyed it.
Ross Appleton
Dump. Old and worn out. It's just a collection of different styles of architecture as they've added sections through the years. Tiny rooms and cramped bathrooms. Muddy roads with potholes everywhere on the property, the least they could go is to pull it all down and start again.

Beds were comfortable. The rooms are small but why do you need a big one. The shower was lovely. Even in the rain the place was really nice. Food good and staff great

Service was excellent Ricky Lee was a stand out. Room was comfortable and functional. Dinner in the restaurant was superb we had a group of six and enjoyed by all, as was breakfast, Peppers Craigieburn highly recommended!

Charming, old world appeal on gorgeous grounds. The service was great, the food was delicious.
I thought the building fell short of expectations though, with thin walls and doors with gaps, so I hope you have quiet neighbours! We did on the first night and I slept well, but not so much on our second night with TV sounds coming clearly though the wall until 11pm. The rooms were neat but had a musty smell and plenty of creaking floorboards. Bed was firm, but comfortable for me.

Beautiful location. Lounges rooms and dining areas are well designed and esthetically pleasing spaces. Rooms are smaller but comfortable. Unfortunately, we could clearly her our neighbours. Overall, the experience was pleasant and relaxing.

Beautiful place, a home away from home. All the staff are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The facilities are beautiful and well presented, comfortable and clean. If you want to get some fresh air, the grounds are picturesque, with mini golf range, tennis court and so much more. I recommend this place for a perfect getaway from the city life. I can't wait to come back here. And thank you very much.

Make memories mid autumn here in Southern Highlands. Can't find a better hospitable place than the warm friendly staff and rooms. Have stayed here couple of times and never a disappointment. Will certainly visit again.

Loved the old buildings and grounds. Views over the golf course were stunning. No wonder bridal parties have their photos in the grounds and reception in The Fitzroy Room. Loved the choice of lounge areas, warmed by open fireplaces. Breakfast was a hearty meal, with plenty of choices. Dinner was delicious. Accommodation was comfortable. Will hope to return

Such a beautiful place! Only had an overnight stay but wish it had been longer. The staff are some of the best I've ever seen. So professional and friendly. And the building and grounds are magical. It was the ideal place to disconnect and relax. Highly recommend staying here. Additionally the restaurant has excellent food.
