I went here for a beer today. Went to use the women's loo, and it stank like a rat died, or like someone put prawn shells in the tampon bins. I mentioned the issue to female staff, they said 'I don't know about that' and ignored my complaint.
Then heard male patrons tell female staff to bar me because of it.
Other pubs in Camden are far better for female patrons.

The pub meal was lovely, pork roast and rhubarb and apple crumble, wintery reasonable cost fresh and very enjoyable. A couple of bar staff are a bit abrupt. All other were friendly and helpful.

We love coming out to the Crown Hotel Camden for the $18 family dinner night Wednesday and Thursday nights
We are treated very respectfully from all the staff and especially lovely Sue the manager she greets me by my name and with a beautiful warm smile ?
The food is delicious and large servings that's why we always keep coming back, it's like our second home
My son and myself love the chicken parmigiana it's our favourite meal and my husband gets ribs and rumps
The meals are so delicious and you won't be disappointed but remember to book as it gets very busy

Crown Hotel Camden - A Must Visit!
This place is a hidden gem! The Crown Hotel isn't just a pub, it's a beautiful gastro pub with food
that's absolutely amazing. Every single staff member I interacted with, from the front desk to the
chefs in the kitchen, were all incredibly pleasant.
I had the tempura battered fish and chips for $18.50 and it was honestly scrumptious. The fish
was perfectly cooked and the batter was light and crispy. One of the best things about the
Crown Hotel is that you can actually see into the kitchen and watch the talented chefs work their
magic. It adds a great personal touch to the dining experience.
Overall, this place gets 5 stars from me! Highly recommend checking it out.

Great find! This hotel is at a pub but is out the back as a separate building and quite removed from any noise. Rooms were tidy, very big bathroom and comfortable bed. Good water pressure in shower and nice clean towels. Mini bars also good. Casual friendly atmosphere and quiet and private. We had a lovely stay, thanks

Celebrated a 60th birthday in the Terrace room.
Bar staff and servers were amazing and very friendly. Food was also delicious.

Beautiful big burger. Everything on it.. Real meat.. Yep real meat. chips , etc delicious.

This review applies only to the restaurant. I went in for dinner last night and ordered a snitty with bbq sauce noting the price of $16. I get to the register and they want to charge me $18 - an extra $2 for a squirt of bbq sauce on the side. I've never heard of a restaurant charging for bbq sauce. Meanwhile you can get a huge slice of pizza from the kebab shop for $3. Thats $1 more than the Crown charges for a squirt of sauce on your plate. Thinking it must be a mistake I asked another staff member. They offered to do me a deal and charge $1 for a squirt of bbq sauce. Anyway, you can jam it, I'll order elsewhere from now on. You've probably lost easily thousands per year for my family of 6, not to mention their partners, that will no longer be eating there for years to come. Hope your premium bbq sauce is worth it.

Large clean rooms, helpful friendly staff, excellent meals and a variety of beers. Walking distance to the shopping area. Only negative would be the stairs to the rooms would be hard for some.

Amazing food. Meals were big in size. Great friendly service even when the restaurant was busy. Definitely recommend this place.

Lunch on the run home, using the pre freeway roads. Boy oh boy, what changes there are. This pub offered a late lunch, which was lovely, a cold beer and bubbles, which were refreshing, and smiles and friendliness all around. Worth coming back that's for sure.

One of my very few awful life experiences walking into a restaurant or hospitality venue where I could already smell unpleasantness, ugliness and rudeness in the air the minute I walked in, "greeted" by an unfriendly tone from one of the two waitresses on the floor, "Can I help you?". What else do you think we need when walking into a dining area of a restaurant? Treated timber for back deck? Clown Fish for aquarium? Massage service? We were instantly being made to feel so unwelcome, followed by the same waitress literally throwing the menus at the worst table near the entrance instead of amongst the abundance of the other empty tables. Clearly this waitress has an attitude problem who does not fit into the hospitality industry. We walked out in such a huge disbelief.
However it had been written in the stars that good karma awaited us on the other side of the road when we walked into a bustling cafe and were greeted by a couple of cheerful staff with full of smiles that brightly sparkles through their sweet voices which were music to our ears.

Stayed here with family for a wedding, we were all planning to use the motel's services to conclude the evening at 9pm. All of us were refused service and were treated poorly due to being a large group. Wouldn't recommend for groups staying in the area. Much better places in town

We decided to come and have dinner and try the Crown having heard from friends that is a great spot. We had the Thursday night ribs and rump special. The ribs were ridiculously meaty and melt in your mouth. The steak was cooked to medium-rare perfection. Great value. The rest of the group's meals were equally as well received. Rave reviews on the milkshakes from some genuinely fussy judges eating with us. Sticky date was excellent however the Nutella donut dessert wasn't all it could've been but was still tasty. We'll definitely come again!

I often organise small work meetings in the Terrace Room upstairs. The service has always been exceptional (thanks Sue-Ann!) and the food from the restaurant area has a great range and quality.

We had my husbands 40th birthday party in the Sidney function room. The staff were very professional and accommodating. Dana and Anthony, the managers, were reliable and approachable. The service was great, and the night seamless (even on a Covid lockdown weekend). The food was yummy, fresh and plentiful. Thanks for a great and memorable night!

Good place to stay, clean rooms, nice restuarant and friendly staff, had a good chat and laugh with regulars in pub smoking room. Convenient to shops and restaurants, recommend. Will return if in Camden.

I wanted to rate this higher simply because the food was very nice, however we had too many issues that just flattened the experience.
One of the water glasses had bright red lipstick all over it, trying to flag a staff member for service was impossible, and they charge an extra $1.00 for a tiny cup of sauce? Come on...

There was hair in our meals. It was gross. Our server also felt like she wasnt bothered to be there and just wanted to finish the shift. Wouldnt recommend eating here.

It wasn't too bad but there were extra prices, one would think the sauce comes with the meal. Also you have to pay alot more to swap chips for sweet potato, there were 9 of us and it was so busy so they decided to charge us an extra meal which we found out when paying but we were in such a rush that we didn't know until we got back to work. When we called to let them know they tried convincing us that we had the meal when we in reality did not even receive it let alone consumed it. They charged us for 10eals but there were only 9 people.
